Chapter 262: The Creator God
"Everyone, there’s no need to be tense. We’ve already chosen to reconcile with the Dragon God," said the God of Kindness, noticing the uneasy expressions of the Water God, Fire God, and others.
Her gentle voice carried a soothing power that seemed to calm the hearts of those who heard it.
Upon hearing her words, the gods’ emotions visibly stabilized.
However, their gazes toward Gu Yuena remained uneasy.
After all, the past battles had been brutal, and while they might have agreed to reconcile, it would take time for everyone to adapt to the change.
"Everyone, the tea on the table is of the finest quality. Have some to calm your nerves," suggested the God of Evil.
The gods, finding it a reasonable idea, each took a sip.
To their surprise, the tea tasted exceptionally good, soothing their tense nerves.
At that moment, the God of Evil began to introduce someone. "As for this individual, you’ve all likely heard of him. He is none other than the newly ascended God King of Douluo Star—Qin Xiao!"
"Who?"
"Qin Xiao?"
"Phhfft!"
The Fire God, caught off guard, spat out the tea he hadn’t yet swallowed, spraying it directly onto the Wind God’s face.
The Wind God, however, was too stunned to react to the Fire God’s actions.
Qin Xiao’s name was not unfamiliar to them.
According to the God of Destruction, he was second only to the Dragon God in terms of being a major threat.
The st assembly of the gods had been rife with heated debates—all because of this individual.
Yet no one could have imagined that Qin Xiao would suddenly appear before them as a new God King.
It was truly terrifying.
Even more unsettling was how Qin Xiao had attained his position.
His ascension had been built upon the core essence of the Asura God, achieved through methods that were nothing short of ruthless and bloody.
"Ahem…"
Sensing the awkward atmosphere in the hall, the God of Evil cleared his throat to break the tension.
"During the previous council, the God of Kindness and I proposed negotiating with Qin Xiao and inviting him to join the Divine Realm. Afterward, we held private discussions and reached a consensus. Qin Xiao agreed to become a member of the Divine Realm Committee and to work with us for the realm’s prosperity."
In reality, this narrative had been carefully crafted beforehand by Qin Xiao, Gu Yuena, the God of Kindness, and the God of Evil.
The goal was to make Qin Xiao’s integration into the Divine Realm more acceptable and less abrupt for the other gods.
"That’s right," added the God of Kindness. "With Qin Xiao and the Dragon God joining us, our Divine Realm will grow even stronger.
Their presence is crucial for the future development of our realm."
Seeing that the gods were beginning to show signs of acceptance, the God of Kindness took the opportunity to lead by example. "Now, let us warmly welcome Qin Xiao and the Dragon God as God Kings!"
She began cpping enthusiastically.
Following her lead, the other gods instinctively joined in.
As they cpped, many realized that their initial resistance to Qin Xiao and the Dragon God had lessened.
"God King, if Qin Xiao and the Dragon God are joining the Divine Realm Committee, what about the God of Destruction and the God of Life?"
When the appuse subsided, the God of Space, dressed in a gray robe, voiced his concerns. "If we uniterally welcome the two new God Kings, the reaction from the other two God Kings could be problematic."
Accepting Qin Xiao and the Dragon God made him uneasy about how the other two God Kings would respond.
His concern was shared by others.
The four God Kings had been embroiled in fierce disputes over this matter.
Privately forming close ties with Qin Xiao and the Dragon God could undoubtedly provoke dissatisfaction from the other two.
The God of Kindness, the God of Destruction, and Gu Yuena exchanged knowing gnces, their expressions subtly amused.
At this point, there were no other God Kings to speak of.
The God of Life and the God of Destruction had both been reduced to seeds. How could they voice any objections?
Not only that, but even their seven original sin gods had been wiped out.
Now, the God of Destruction’s faction consisted only of insignificant second- and third-tier gods, hardly worth mentioning.
The God of Evil finally responded. "To be honest, the God of Life and the God of Destruction previously sought out Qin Xiao and cshed with him.
Currently, they, along with the seven original sin gods, are recuperating in seclusion. It will be millennia before they reappear."
This expnation had also been crafted under Qin Xiao’s guidance.
The aim was twofold: to intimidate the gods and to avoid unnecessary trouble.
If the gods learned that Qin Xiao had eliminated two God Kings and the seven original sin gods, it could provoke a backsh.
As expected, the room fell silent.
The gods weren’t fools; they quickly grasped the underlying message.
The God of Life and the God of Destruction had led the seven original sin gods against Qin Xiao and lost.
The God of Kindness and the God of Evil likely intervened at a critical moment to prevent further conflict, striking a deal that included some unknown concessions.
The atmosphere grew heavy as the weight of this realization settled over the gathered gods.
The God of Destruction and the God of Life not attending the meeting due to personal injuries and pride wasn’t unexpected.
Once the gods understood the underlying issues, their gazes toward Qin Xiao shifted.
This was a man who singlehandedly subdued an entire faction.
They had to admit—they were in awe.
“Everyone, we’ve concluded the first matter.
Next, we have another announcement to make,” said the God of Evil, his voice once again drawing the attention of the gods.
He slowly took the hand of the God of Kindness, his eyes filled with warmth. “We’ve decided to temporarily step down from our positions and descend to the mortal world for a thousand years of travel.”
“What?!”
“God Kings, isn’t this decision a bit too sudden?”
“That’s right! If you both leave, who will handle the Divine Realm’s affairs?”
The gods were flustered.
One major announcement after another today had left them with no time to process everything.
The God of Evil raised his hand, gesturing for silence. “To be honest, we’ve grown weary over countless millennia. We’ve long wished to set aside our burdens and be selfish for once. Now, we’ve finally found the opportunity.”
The God of Kindness nodded in agreement. “We’ve already made our decision. The matters I and the God of Evil oversee will be handed over to the Dragon God. You must wholeheartedly assist her.
As for the affairs managed by the God of Destruction and the God of Life, we will issue divine decrees to pce them under Qin Xiao’s authority.”
The gods froze.
This arrangement was reasonable, but still...
“However, God Kings, Qin Xiao and the Dragon God have just recently ascended to the Divine Realm. They’re still newcomers,” the Fire God said, frowning deeply.
His concern was evident.
The God of Kindness smiled faintly. “Precisely because they’re newcomers, they should be given a chance.
If we don’t give them an opportunity, how will they ever take charge of the Divine Realm’s affairs?
Besides, all of you will still be here to assist them. It’s only for a short thousand years—a mere blink of an eye for us gods.”
This expnation was, of course, part of the prearranged script. Before sending the other two God Kings back to reincarnation, Qin Xiao had insisted on setting things in order.
The gods hesitated for a moment before reluctantly nodding.
There was no alternative.
It was clear the two God Kings were resolute. Even if the gods objected, it wouldn’t change anything.
Unable to resist, they could only comply with the God Kings’ wishes.
“Since there are no objections, please convey our decision throughout the Divine Realm,” the God of Kindness said.
With a wave of her hand, small orbs of light flew from her sleeves, transforming into scrolls before each god.
These were divine edicts, binding and absolute for the gods of the Divine Realm.
“As you command, God Kings!”
The Wind God, Fire God, and others accepted the scrolls and departed with them.
Before long, the divine hall was empty, save for Qin Xiao, Gu Yuena, the God of Kindness, and the God of Evil.
Finally, it was over.
The God of Kindness let out a silent sigh of relief.
While there had been some resistance, she believed it wouldn’t pose a significant issue.
As long as Qin Xiao refrained from oppressing the gods, there wouldn’t be any major backsh.
Given time, the gods would come to accept Qin Xiao and the Dragon God as the rulers of the Divine Realm.
This was precisely why they repeatedly emphasized the thousand-year timeframe.
“Qin Xiao, I hope you’ll treat the gods of the Divine Realm kindly,” the God of Evil said solemnly.
Qin Xiao nodded. “Don’t worry. As long as they don’t cause trouble, I won’t harm them.”
The God of Evil continued, “Our decrees have a strong binding effect on the Seven Elemental Gods and their factions.
However, the subordinates of the God of Destruction may not adhere to them as strictly.
They’re likely to resist your governance.”
“Haha, you don’t need to concern yourselves with this matter,” Qin Xiao said with a cold smile at the corner of his lips. “Those who follow me will thrive; those who oppose me will perish. The reason I chose to cooperate with you is not because I fear killing, but because I want to avoid unnecessary sughter.
If they wish for death, I won’t hesitate to grant it.”
As his words fell, Gu Yuena, standing beside him, slightly furrowed her delicate brows, and a glint of icy killing intent fshed in her eyes.
It was obvious without needing further expnation—she would undoubtedly stand with Qin Xiao in eradicating the gods.
Hiss... The God of Evil couldn’t help but take a sharp breath.
He silently muttered to himself, wondering whether entrusting the Divine Realm to these two ruthless individuals was a wise choice.
“Forget it, let’s just leave it to them.”
At that moment, the voice of the God of Kindness resonated in the God of Evil’s mind.
“Every throne is built upon a foundation of bones,” she said calmly.
The God of Evil gnced at her in surprise.
In that instant, he realized that the God of Kindness seemed to have a deeper understanding of the situation than he did.
Come to think of it, their own precarious positions meant there was little point in overthinking.
Fine. Let them do as they please.
The God of Evil decided to stop worrying and instead focus on his own affairs.
“When can we leave the Divine Realm?” he asked.
“In three days,” Qin Xiao replied.
“Why three days?”
“I need three days to observe the gods’ reactions. If there are no issues, I will fulfill my promise.”
Hearing this, the God of Evil fell silent for a moment before agreeing. “Very well, we’ll wait for three days.”
Qin Xiao nodded slightly and began walking toward the exit of the divine hall.
Gu Yuena hesitated briefly but eventually followed.
Once they stepped out of the divine hall, the two vanished from the Divine Realm in an instant.
Beyond Douluo Star
A pitch-bck spatial rift suddenly appeared out of thin air.
Moments ter, two hands emerged from either side of the rift and forcefully tore it open like fabric, creating a passageway rge enough for a person to walk through.
Qin Xiao, cd in his Thunder Emperor Battle Armor, stepped out of the rift.
Gu Yuena followed closely behind, but she seemed somewhat displeased. “You have a powerful super-divine artifact with immense offensive capabilities. You could have easily cut open space without resorting to such brute force. Was that really necessary?”
Qin Xiao chuckled. “I prefer the straightforward and simple approach.”
Gu Yuena: “...”
She let out a disgruntled huff, muttering to herself, What a boorish man!
Qin Xiao ignored her, his gaze fixed firmly on the distant Douluo Star.
After a long silence, Gu Yuena couldn’t help but ask, “What do you pn to do next?”
“Do you remember what I said before?”
“You mentioned wanting to change the rules of Douluo Continent. But how do you pn to do that? It’s no easy task.”
“Difficult or not, it has to be done. If the people of Douluo Continent are to become stronger, the constraints must be broken.”
“Breaking the rules…” Gu Yuena’s mind wandered briefly before she shook her head with a bitter smile. “The rules were established during creation. If it were that easy to change, I would have done it long ago.
To accomplish such a feat, one would need the power of creation itself, the strength to overturn the very fabric of reality.”
“In essence, you’re saying it requires the power of creation?”
“Why? Do you have the power of creation?” Gu Yuena retorted skeptically.
Though she knew Qin Xiao was immensely powerful, she didn’t believe he had reached the level of a Creator God.
“Don’t doubt me—I truly do,” Qin Xiao replied.
As he spoke, he brought his hands together, communicating with the Thunder Emperor Battle Armor.
The hollow at the center of his chest suddenly emitted a dazzling seven-colored light, which began to gather in his palms.
“This is… the power of creation!”
Gu Yuena’s beautiful eyes widened, and her lips parted slightly in astonishment. “Qin Xiao, you’ve truly become a Creator God!”
It sounded absurd, but she couldn’t think of any other expnation for the scene before her.
The power of creation couldn’t be faked—not even she could deny the pressure it exuded.
Qin Xiao smiled faintly. “Who said one must be a Creator God to wield the power of creation?”
Gu Yuena opened her mouth to respond but found herself at a loss for words.
How could he possess the power of creation without being a Creator God?
Wait…
A thought suddenly struck her, and she stared at Qin Xiao in disbelief.
“Did you acquire the power of creation from the God of Life and the God of Destruction burning their divine souls?”
