The Gates of Knowledge

The sun shone with a serene warmth over the Royal Domain. This was no ordinary day.

The streets were clean, adorned with paper garnds shaped like books, scrolls, feathers, and arcane symbols. The air smelled of fresh ink and newly baked bread. Excitement floated like attribute-less magic among the citizens of the Kingdom of Maple.

In front of the white stone building with sky-blue tiled roofs, a rge crowd had gathered. Children, adventurers, artisans, healers, and even merchants had come together. They all shared the same expectation: today marked the birth of the Study Guild, also called the Kingdom's University.

  An institution open to everyone.

  And led by Kanade.

“It’s much bigger than I thought…” Maple whispered, eyes sparkling as she gazed at the building.

Next to her, Kanade smiled humbly, but his tone was firm:

“It had to be. We wanted everyone to be able to learn. And for that, we needed a solid structure—both physically and academically.”

With them stood Iz, Sally, Chrome, Yui, May, and several representatives from the mega guilds. Even Velvet had sent a congratutory message from her tower in the form of a lightning bolt that wrote the word “Success” in the sky… which, while dramatic, was surprisingly effective.

The building was imposing, yet not intimidating. It featured elegant columns, cssrooms with rge windows, a floating magical pnetarium above the main dome, and a living library—a magical tree that produced new pages whenever someone asked a good question.

When Maple stepped forward to cut the ribbon, she was offered enchanted scissors, but instead, she simply raised her shield.

“Wouldn’t this be more fun?” she said with her usual innocent smile.

With a light touch from her shield, the ribbon disintegrated into sparkling particles as the children cheered with joy.

  Thus began the official inauguration.

Inside the guild, many former pyers waited with excitement. They were people who had once been biologists, historians, mathematicians, engineers, philosophers, schoolteachers—and even a few chefs.

Each had brought their passion into this new world.

One of them, Professor Toma—formerly an astrophysicist—now led the magical astronomy room, teaching children how to read the stars using both telescopes and enchanted crystals.

Another, Professor Marcia, expined to a group of farmers how to apply modern crop rotation techniques… with the help of earth spirits who visualized growth in miniature.

Small departments had even been established:

  Magical Sciences

History of the Kingdom and the Pyers

Natural Attributes and the Ethics of Magic

  Arcane Technology

Experimental Cooking (run by a former chef and an alchemist)

But most important of all was what Kanade emphasized in his speech:

“This is not a pce to compete, but to share. We want children and adventurers alike to learn, discover, and above all, ask questions.”

Maple appuded enthusiastically, her eyes shining with emotion.

“That’s amazing! Can I come and learn too?”

“Of course, Your Majesty,” Kanade said with an elegant gesture. “You are welcome in every css.”

“Then I want to attend all of them!”

And so, while some noble guild members smiled with a bit of disbelief, no one could deny the warmth in their hearts. Because if the queen wanted to learn… then everyone else wanted to as well.

In the afternoon, a knowledge fair was held. Children pyed games solving riddles that opened chests with prizes. Adults debated new ideas, and even veteran adventurers listened intently to young professors.

Kanade stood at the edge, watching as ideas flowed like water through a well-designed canal.

“We did it,” he murmured to himself.

And Maple, who had sat down to learn about how the human body works in a basic biology css, suddenly raised her hand:

“Hey! So when I eat an apple seed, a tree doesn’t grow inside me?!”

There was a moment of silence.

And then, an explosion of ughter.

And so, with learning, ughter, and discovery, the Study Guild was officially inaugurated.

Knowledge, at st, had a home in the Kingdom of Maple.
