Luna, a gray cat, was sitting at the window observing the humans walking through the city. She was one of the leaders of the illuminati. A secret organization of cats that secretly controls the world from behind the scenes.
She was the genius that managed to shift the blame to lizard people and rich people when the illuminati was about to be discovered. But now she has a new mission, recently portals have been opening all over the world. These portals lead to different worlds, worlds with magical powers from what the human slaves that came back from these portals said.
Luna decided she would be the first cat to enter one of these portals. After all, she wanted to discover the secret of magic. Cats having 9 lives already made them the most powerful species on the planet. Additionally cats also have a sixth sense that allows them to see supernatural entities such as ghosts. But magic would be something completely new, and Luna wanted to learn about it.
Luna jumped down from the windowsill and left her house. The humans thought it was their house, but she knew better. She greeted cats on the way and made her way to the nearest portal.
She was kinda nervous, after all she would be entering a totally new world. But it was necessary, and she wasn't willing to back down.
The portal looked like a tear in space, it was constantly emitting energy and honestly looked like the kind thing you shouldn't step through. But multiple human slaves already confirmed it's safe, so she was willing to take the risk.
She stepped through the portal and for a moment it felt like time stood still and she suddenly was in a new world. She experienced nothing, no travel, not anything. It was like the sensation of space travel was too much for the brain and it subconsciously hid the memories.

She was in a forest, with trees so high that they rival skyscrapers. At least that's what she assumed, she had trouble seeing how high the trees were because they covered the entire sky. But this forest was weird, it had too much life, Luna learned from the human sub type called scientist that plants need light to grow.
But here the trees covered the entire sky, there was almost no light, yet plants and animals were everywhere. But maybe this world just functioned differently. Suddenly Luna saw a wolf, or well at least this world's version of a wolf, it was much bigger it was at least 4 meters in length.
Luna hid herself, this wasn't a fight she wanted to get into. She made herself small and tried to look as invisible as possible. Meanwhile she secretly cursed the humans in her mind for forgetting to mention that giant wolf's life in this forest. It's just another confirmation for the famous saying “never get a human to do a cat's job”.
The wolf walked past her and seemed to not notice her, either that or it had no interest in her. Luna meanwhile decided that she desperately needs to leave this forest. She came here to learn magic not to be eaten by wolves.
She made sure no other threats were nearby and then started sneaking through the forest. She had no idea what direction to take, but with her superhuman senses she hoped to eventually gain any lead on where to go. Otherwise this would be a very tiresome adventure.
But this world was really weird, through her sixth sense Luna could feel some kind of energy everywhere. This energy was different from ghosts, it felt more alive like the lifeblood of the world. Maybe this energy was the source of all the life here and the origin of magic. Luna decided to call it catna for now, she saw human shows where mana was the origin of magic, so she decided that catna was a good name for it. It sounded similar and had the word cat in it.
Still she had no idea how to interact with this energy. In human shows magic works through magic words, magic circles and runes. She assumed she would have to learn some magic meows. She could do runes too, though claws weren't really made for writing.
