Ch#3: Through Drysia’s Gates

Lana leaned against the tree, her back pressing against the bark as the soft pink fruit’s sweetness lingered on her tongue. Her stomach, which had been staging a protest moments ago, was finally quiet. She stared at the slowly setting sun painting the sky in hues of gold and tangerine.

“Okay,” she muttered to herself, “let’s not panic. I’ll just… sit here. Under this suspiciously comfortable tree. In this suspiciously beautiful forest. After chasing a fire-breathing rabbit and eating a magical fruit banana thing. Yep. Totally normal day.”

She crossed her arms and sighed. There was no way she’d survive stumbling into another unknown creature by nightfall. Looking for a cave sounded like the beginning of a horror movie plot, so she stayed put and let her thoughts catch up.

  And that’s when it happened.

A soft chime echoed in the air.

  **Ding!**

  Lana blinked. “What the hell?”

In front of her, a translucent, floating window appeared. Hovering midair like it was projected from the tree—or her imagination.

  **[STATUS WINDOW ACTIVATED]**

“Okay,” she muttered again. “This is fine. I’m hallucinating. The fruit was clearly psychedelic. Happens all the time, right?”

But the screen didn’t go away.

  | **Name**: Lana

  | **Age**: 15

  | **Stamina**: 5 / 100

  | **Magic**: 10 / 100

  | **Title**: The One Who Tripped Into Another World

  | **Skills**:

  ? Sarcastic Commentary (Passive)

? Eye-Roll of Mild Disdain (Passive)

? “Ugh, Why Me?” Aura (???)

Her eyes scanned the window. “Wait… fifteen?”

Lana grabbed the sides of her face. Her skin felt smoother. No eye bags. No creeping forehead lines. She even touched her legs and arms—they didn’t ache like they should after that rabbit chase. Her back wasn’t stiff, and she hadn’t once groaned while sitting down.

“…No way,” she whispered. “This body is fifteen? That expins the energy I don’t have but somehow *am* recovering. If I were still twenty-eight, I’d be in need of an ambunce and a massage chair.”

  She squinted at the title.

**The One Who Tripped Into Another World**.

“Wow. Thanks. At least give me something cool like Shadow Wanderer or Mysterious Traveler. Not… ‘Tripped.’”

Still chuckling bitterly, she leaned her head back against the tree and let her eyes flutter closed. Exhaustion cimed her quickly. A mix of hunger, confusion, and sore limbs carried her off into a restless doze.

  ---

  **Morning**

  Birds chirped obnoxiously loud.

Lana opened her eyes to the warm glow of sunlight filtering through the leaves. It took a second to remember where she was. Then another second to groan loudly at the sky.

  “Nope. Still here.”

She took a few gulps from her water bottle—it was nearly empty now—and freshened up as best she could. Her reflection in the surface of the bottle cap showed silver-touched light blue eyes and equally strange hair. Not the bck hair and brown eyes she’d known for years.

“…Definitely not Kansas anymore,” she muttered.

Breakfast was another one of the pink banana-fruit things. She plucked two more and stuffed them into her bag.

With a steadying breath, she began to walk again.

  ---

  **Day 2-5**

The forest seemed to grow stranger the longer she stayed.

She met a **rat that threw needles**, which she barely dodged thanks to her miraculous fifteen-year-old reflexes. Then a **slimy transparent creature** that wobbled after her with the speed of a confused jelly blob. It stuck to her shoe before falling off with a squish.

“Why is everything here weird? Where are the butterflies and singing birds?”

She also found a **small ke**, where she refilled her bottle. She caught her reflection again—yep, definitely glowing with anime-tier hair.

Each night, she slept curled beneath a tree. Each morning, she ate her mystery fruit and kept moving.

  ---

**Day 5 – Arrival at the City Walls**

Just when her legs were beginning to rebel, Lana saw it.

A **massive wall** rose in the distance. Tall, ancient-looking, with a city nestled behind it. People were lining up outside a **rge gate**, guarded by men in full armor.

“Civilization!” she gasped. “And not on fire! Please don’t be a mirage.”

She walked toward the line and noticed something odd: everyone had the same **hair and eye color**. Blue hair, blue eyes. Green hair, green eyes. Even a girl with **pink hair and pink eyes**.

  Lana touched her own hair.

  “…This world is color-coordinated?”

She joined the queue and found herself behind a cheerful guy who turned with a grin. He looked about her age (appearance-wise, anyway), with orange hair and orange eyes.

“First time entering Drysia?” he asked.

“Is it that obvious?” she sighed.

The boy ughed and introduced himself “I’m Eliot,” he said. “Merchant in training. You?”

  “Lana. Professional stair-faller.”

He ughed. “Well, you’ll need an ID card to get in. Usually given out by the Adventurer’s Guild or Merchant Guild. That orb up there scans for danger or bad intentions.” she chatted with the guy Eliot while queing up and got to learn some useful information that is the currency of this world that is gold coins, silver coins and copper coins(⊙o⊙)

  1000 copper coins = 1 silver coin

  1000 silver coins = 1 gold coin

1000 gold coins = 1 gleam (which is like ptinum and is lustrous).

People ahead of them were pressing their palms against a **glowing white orb** as they handed over little cards.

When Eliot passed through and waved goodbye, it was Lana’s turn.

She stepped up to the guard and when the guard asked her to show the guild card she answered him that “Uh… I was attacked by thieves. They took my bag and everything. I don’t have my ID.”

The guard looked her over—her messy hair, dirt-smudged clothes, scraped knees—half doubtful and half convincing asked her to put her hand on the orb “Hmm looks like it. Put your hand on the stone.”

She pressed her palm against the glowing orb.

It fshed a bright **white light**.

“Hm. No ill intent.” The guard turned to another man in a more decorated uniform and expined the situation and asked “Captain, she’s clear. Can we issue a temporary pass?”

The captain grunted, pulled out a slip of parchment, and handed it to her.

“This only works in the city. Get to the Guild to register properly.”

  “Yes, sir!” Lana bowed awkwardly.

  ---

  **Inside the City**

It was like walking into a storybook—except with **magic**. The buildings were wooden and quaint. Merchants yelled prices from stalls. Kids ran by with glowing toys.

A green-haired girl made pnts sprout from seeds in seconds. A blue-haired man cleaned his stall by **summoning water**.

  Lana watched with wide eyes.

“So… powers are color-coded? What’s my power then?”

She touched her silver-blue hair. Her curiosity fred. But of course first things first .

First step: find the Adventurer’s Guild.

  Second step: get a bath.

Third step: maybe don’t get chased by fming rabbits again.
