When I opened my eyes, I was immediately aware of three things.
First, the bed was too soft. Way too soft. There was no way this could be the same cheap mattress I carelessly purchased online. Second, the ceiling above me didn't belong to my apartment. The roof went up way too high, extending at least 12 feet up. And third, there was a blue transparent window hovering a foot away from my face.
[Welcome, Pyer! You've been reincarnated as: Lucian Blissmourne, Congratutions!]
I blink. Once, twice, three times.
"Whoo.."
I exhale deeply, covering my face with both hands, before peeking through a crack between my fingers.
[...]
A pillow goes hurtling through the screen, nding on the other side of the room."Catch a hint and fuck off!" I scream, filing my fists at the window. They pass through it harmlessly.
[Pyer, please stop. Your attempts to harm me are only hurting your own dignity.]
I pull the bedsheets over my head, covering my whole body in the bnket.
Lucian Blissmourne, the protagonist of 'Crimson Reign', a RPG that I used to py, takes pce in a world of reverse sexual morals where women were considered dominant, and well, I hated it. There wasn't anything particurly wrong with the functionality of the game, but rather the story was something that I just couldn't stand.
The protagonist seemed to have no control in the story whatsoever. No matter what you did, what choices you made, or how much you farmed and collected items, it would lead to the same few endings, none of them good, with the protagonist either dying, or confined and living the rest of his life miserably.
Knock knock knock.
"Lucian, dear, I'm coming in!"
I hear the door swing open, before the sheets are yanked off my body, exposing me to the cooler air. My gaze nds on a man in his mid thirties, with sharp facial features I would have considered handsome if it wasn't for the stupid grin stretched across his face.
Caelen Blissmourne, the protagonist's father.
"How much longer are you going to stay in bed? It's time to wake up." He pouts.
'Ugh.'
Seeing a man acting like this is off-putting, no matter how much you try to emphasize the gender-reversed slop.
"Anyways! Come downstairs as soon as you can, breakfast is ready, OK? I'll be waiting for you!"
He excims, before giggling and running back out through the door, smming it behind himself as he leaves.
"I'm so fucked. System, hey, do something useful and help me, give me some skills or something" I mumble, lying sprawled out on the bed.

"...Sob...System, you're so cruel. My dignity as a man has been forsaken. My life is over."
I press my face into the pillows, too ashamed to show my face anymore. I never thought of myself as particurly masculine, but this was just too far. The system's pretty much telling me to become a shy, bumbling girl. It might be normal in this world, but it was still just too far.
[System Update!]
[New Objective: Eat Breakfast]
I barely gnce at the status window, before re-burying my head into the pillows.
[Pyer, this is sad to watch. Please pull yourself together.]
"System, leave without me. I think I'll just die here. Dramatically. Like a real, manly protagonist."
