Shimizu Miketsuki had been in this world for nearly five years now. After today, he would officially turn five years old.
For most people, a fifth birthday might be just a slightly special occasion. But for Miketsuki, it was second only to the day he was reincarnated.
Why? Because at exactly midnight, his system would deliver his annual birthday mail.
Not just that—he’d also receive a Wish Heart, and tomorrow marked the final day of a full year’s sign-in streak, which meant he’d be rewarded with another Wish Heart.
Finally.
Ding! You have a new message. This message will expire in 365 days. Please check it promptly.
There it was. The message never changed.
Dear Host, thank you for your support and companionship over the past year. As a token of appreciation, we present you with a Wish Heart. We wish you smooth sailing in your new life.
With trembling fingers, Miketsuki accepted the gift. Coupled with today’s auto sign-in reward for a full year, he now had two Wish Hearts in hand.
He opened the Wish Panel.
The tenth wish was guaranteed to succeed. According to the system, this wasn’t some random gacha game from his past life. Instead of gambling on RNG, each successful wish would grant a skill perfectly suited to him.
No trash drops here.
Let’s do this.
Do you wish to consume 9 Wish Hearts for 9 attempts? Reminder: the 10th attempt is guaranteed.Confirm9 Wish Hearts consumed. Beginning wishes...
Wish failed. Wish failed… Wish successful!Congratutions, Host! You have obtained: The Eyes of Heaven — Six Eyes.
Huh? Six Eyes?
Is this really the most suitable skill for him right now?
Well, he already rolled it—might as well check it out.
Miketsuki tapped on the skill description.
Skill: Six EyesAbility 1: 360-degree long-range visionAbility 2: See through the mechanics behind most ninjutsuAbility 3: Chakra trajectory tracking and predictionAbility 4: Ultra-precise chakra controlAbility 5: Minimal chakra consumption
Yep, cssic system style—succinct, no-nonsense.
But for a skill overview, it was surprisingly detailed. It was essentially a chakra-based version of the Six Eyes. That it didn’t come bundled with Limitless like in his past life’s fiction was no surprise.
After all, Six Eyes and Limitless were separate techniques. It wasn’t like the system was running a buy-one-get-one-free promo.
So Miketsuki wasn’t too disappointed.
He pulled out a mirror from his bedside drawer to check out his new eyes.
Maybe because his original eye color was already blue, there wasn’t a huge visible change—just a bit brighter, maybe.
He gnced around the room for a quick test. One gnce, and he was stunned. He’d never experienced this kind of crity before. His field of vision extended tens of kilometers in every direction, centered on himself.
Was that for real?
Miketsuki remembered that in the Naruto world, there was a sensory ability called Kagura Shingan—the Mind’s Eye of the Kagura—that also had a detection range of dozens of kilometers. But in terms of quality of information received, it couldn’t even hold a candle to the Six Eyes.
Maybe it was because chakra, unlike cursed energy, included both spiritual and physical components. Miketsuki didn’t feel too much mental strain.
In his vision, buildings and human bodies could be freely toggled between opaque and transparent—he could see through them at will. He could even observe the flow of chakra inside each person.
This part was very simir to the Byakugan, except... the range was far superior. A regur Byakugan had a range of just one kilometer at most.
Of course, for most ninjas, one kilometer was already an amazing detection range.
But compared to Six Eyes or Kagura Shingan, which casually spanned dozens of kilometers? Not even close.
Suddenly curious, Miketsuki decided to check in on Rin—what was she doing right now?
Knowing her discipline, she was probably already asleep by now.
But nope. He turned his gaze toward the Nohara residence, and—oh? She was still up.
Rin was lying on her back, hugging a hideous shark plushie, her adorable little head drooping over the edge of the bed as she muttered to herself.
“Tomorrow’s Miketsuki’s birthday... Mr. Kenjin just passed away not long ago. I need to make sure he doesn’t feel lonely.”
Then Rin suddenly sat up, as if a brilliant idea had struck her.
“What if I just stay over at his pce tomorrow? I bet Mom would let me!”
Whether or not Mrs. Nohara would actually allow it remained unknown, but Miketsuki had just discovered a major downside of the Six Eyes:
He could see Rin’s lips moving... but couldn’t hear a single word.
Looks like he’d need to learn lip reading.
Come to think of it, could the Hyuga cn read lips? Or had they just never considered the need?
They should be able to, right? But now that he thought about it, the manga never showed anything like that. Hmm, an interesting subject worth researching.
From what Miketsuki could tell, the Six Eyes combined the info density of the Byakugan with the vast sensory range of the Kagura Shingan.
In a war, this ability would be incredibly valuable.
But he hadn’t even enrolled in the Ninja Academy yet, let alone been sent to the battlefield. When the time came, he’d just pretend to be a sensory specialist.
Having tested the first two abilities, Miketsuki turned his attention to the st one: ultra-precise chakra control.
He thought for a moment—what jutsu best showcased chakra control?
Definitely medical ninjutsu.
Too bad he’d never studied any. And Kenjin hadn’t collected those either.
As for other jutsu that required delicate control... one did come to mind.
The Rasengan.
The training method for Rasengan was probably the most detailed of all jutsu in the manga. Every step tested chakra control to the limit.

Inspired, Miketsuki stretched out his hand and tried replicating the Rasengan from memory—shaping his chakra into a spinning sphere of pure energy.
As his chakra condensed, a brilliant azure orb slowly formed in his palm.
Miketsuki blinked. That was it? He pulled it off that easily?
Maybe it was a dud?
He pressed the Rasengan gently against the edge of his bedside table.
CRACK.
The corner exploded into splinters, jagged wood jutting out from the destruction.
Nope. Definitely the real deal.
Miketsuki dispelled the chakra. That little touch had packed serious power—no doubt about it. The Rasengan was a success.
But what surprised him most was how effortless it had felt.
Was this the true potential of perfect chakra control?
He’d barely expended any energy at all.
Not a single strand of chakra had been wasted.
This is incredible, he thought. That nonsense I once spouted to Kenjin, about using chakra to channel lightning through metal weapons without seals... Maybe that’s actually doable now.
That short bde of his might finally be useful.
Maybe... he should give it a name?
Unfortunately, in both his past life and this one, Miketsuki had always sucked at naming things.
After a few minutes of agonizing, he gave up. His mind only ever came up with names like Frostmourne or Fme of Joy.
Still, the Six Eyes was a massive win. Miketsuki was so excited that he kept experimenting deep into the night—until he finally drifted into a satisfied sleep.
