Chapter 13: Storm approaching

  (Loki's point of view)

  They are here.

Even though I blended well into the city posing as a normal civilian, they managed to find me. Despite my efforts to change my clothing, mask my soulstream, and maintain a low profile, they still managed to find me.

I changed my course and entered an open street filled with people, I was hoping to disappear along with the crowd. However, they were still in hot pursuit, meaning that a fight was about to break down.

"AHHH! SOMEBODY GOT KILLED!" The crowd including myself stopped moving when we noticed a woman lying on the floor covered in blood.

Widespread panic erupted as somebody fired a gun which caused everyone to start running. They were going this far to capture me.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

In the midst of the panic, my pursuer grasped my arms and teleport us on the roof of a skyscraper. Afterward, I struggle free and vanish stepping back a few spaces, "So the hunter sanctuary does have enough time to send their men after me." I said ready to unleash my elemental abilities.

One of the hunters steps forward and retrieves something within his robes, "Oh no Loki, we have other things to attend to. I believe you know about this." He pulled a scroll and tossed it to me.

Once I caught it, I immediately noticed the seal on the scroll and who the sender was, "What's going on?" I asked, confused as to why an elder would send this.

The man in front of me smiled at my confusion, "Soon the man of prophecy will return to us. I trust you will be there on the right side of history." The two men create a rift in the hunter sanctuary and go inside before closing the rift.

I opened the scroll and noticed a rift travel technique drawn on the page. Followed by a timer counting down.

In three weeks, I will be able to get my revenge on those two and bear witness to the sight of the white king finally being born in this world.
