Chapter 59: Learning the Blade in Seven Days

Chapter 59: Learning the Bde in Seven Days

  Transtor: Krukist

Upon arrival, Lin Yu finally realized that the so-called royal training ground was actually a valley.

As he stepped down from the carriage, the elderly woman with the surname Liu looked ahead steadily and smiled.

"Lin Yu, keep your eyes wide open. This is a sub-array of a Fifth-Grade Spirit Array."

Fifth-Grade Spirit Array? Just hearing the name exuded power beyond imagination. Lin Yu widened his eyes and looked ahead.

At that moment, the air distorted, and then, a burly man slowly materialized. Lin Yu was startled—so the valley before his eyes was merely an illusion?

The old woman, seemingly understanding his thoughts, gently shook her head with a smile.

"It’s not fake. It’s real." Her voice was calm, without a hint of sharpness. "What you see is real, but within this real space, there exists another space."

The burly man was momentarily stunned by her words and turned to Lin Yu in surprise. So this is the kid?

Could he really be the one who made Elder Liu act so kindly?

Could the rumors be true? That he was the one chosen by Han Ya?

Shaking his head, the burly man dismissed the thought. He had no interest in Han Ya, nor did he believe the rumors.

His gaze swept over Lin Yu, void of any emotion, like he was evaluating a mere commodity. After a long moment, he finally spoke in a detached tone.

"Your body has some damage, but your foundation is stable."

"It looks like your cultivation was forcefully boosted with spirit essence in a short period. Your energy circution isn’t fully developed yet."

"You have seven days. I will teach you a fundamental martial art. You may choose—I have mastered thirty-two foundational techniques. Every type of weapon you can imagine, I can teach. There are also three fist techniques, three kicking techniques, and two palm techniques..."

Lin Yu shook his head. "I only need to practice the bde."

The burly man nodded, then turned to Elder Liu. "Senior, his path is decided. From now on, I will send spirit letters daily to Miss Han, reporting his progress at this training ground."

Elder Liu nodded in approval, seemingly reassured by the burly man’s capability. She cast Lin Yu a final gnce but said nothing more. Turning, she stepped into the carriage and left.

Lin Yu cheerfully waved after her. "Goodbye, Elder Liu!"

Elder Liu lifted her hand and waved in response.

The burly man, Cao Tong, was slightly stunned. It was as if that small gesture from Elder Liu had shaken his very soul. After a long moment, he came back to his senses—only to find blood trickling from the corner of his mouth.

Muttering to himself, he said, "As expected of someone from the Imperial Pace… even a simple gesture is ruthless."

He turned back to Lin Yu and spoke slowly.

"My name is Cao Tong. For the next seven days, I will teach you a fundamental bde technique. I will suppress my cultivation to fight you, simute real combat scenarios, and provide various healing medicines."

"Since someone personally asked my master for this favor, I will give it my all."

"But how much you can learn has nothing to do with me."

"If you ignore my instructions and act recklessly, then if you get injured, I won’t help you in the slightest."

While Cao Tong spoke, Lin Yu's consciousness slipped into his sea of awareness, where he looked at the energy panel on his computer screen—dispying 500 characters of energy.

He had converted all his spirit stones and spirit crystals into energy because he believed it would be useful.

First, he wouldn’t directly max out his bde technique, but since entry-level mastery was difficult, cheating with the computer was the most time-efficient option.

Also, if he suffered minor injuries, he could use the computer to heal—though since energy was precious, he decided to save it for critical moments. There were still other functions on the computer waiting to be explored.

This seven-day training was equivalent to a favor from Chen Shuitian.

Lin Yu was well aware that Chen Shuitian’s strength was unfathomable. At the very least, within the Heavenly Cloud Kingdom, he was among the top experts.

A favor from someone like Chen Shuitian was priceless.

On one hand, Lin Yu was amazed by Chen Shuitian’s trust in him.

On the other hand, he found it strange—even if he were Chen Shuitian’s nephew, there was no reason to help him so much.

And he wasn’t his nephew at all.

Lin Yu shoved these chaotic thoughts to the back of his mind and focused on his computer screen, where he discovered an intriguing function: [Auto Training].

“50 energy per day. Allows the system to control the body. Consciousness may choose to sleep or remain awake.”

  Lin Yu pondered.

"So if I choose Auto Training for seven days, I can just sit back and watch while my body trains itself… This is tempting."

"These seven days won’t be easy."

Back in reality, Lin Yu smiled at Cao Tong. "Coach, please don’t go easy on me. You should know—I have a duel with He Wu in a month."

Cao Tong coldly responded, "I don’t know who He Wu is. But I do know that in one month, you need the ability to defeat a First-Grade Peak Martialist."

"And you only have seven days of actual combat and technique training."

Lin Yu grinned. "Precisely. So I’ll be counting on you, Coach."

Cao Tong gave him a long, unreadable look before smirking.

"Then you better not regret it. I only worry you’ll run away."

Lin Yu stepped into the spirit array. His vision suddenly widened—revealing a vast training ground.

Cao Tong stood beside a weapon rack, where two pin sabers rested. He grabbed one for himself and tossed the other to Lin Yu.

Lin Yu barely managed to catch it, nearly dropping it to the ground.

"The first lesson is bde technique." Cao Tong spoke.

"This technique isn’t elegant. It’s the most basic saber technique, called Fundamental Bde Art—or some call it Woodcutter’s Bde Art."

"As the name suggests, it’s as simple as chopping wood."

Before Lin Yu could respond, Cao Tong’s figure blurred into motion.

His saber sshed and swept in clean arcs—simple movements, yet executed with the aura of a martial god. As he moved, a circle seemed to form beneath his feet, and phantom images of tigers and dragons flickered behind him.

"But if I use it with Third-Grade Eighth-Tier Body Forging Realm power, it’s still formidable."

"Techniques have strengths and weaknesses, but personal strength is even more important."

"I will demonstrate this bde technique once every hour over the next two days."

"The first time, I will use the First-Grade First-Tier level."

  "The second time, First-Grade Third-Tier."

"And I will keep increasing it—until I use my full Third-Grade Eighth-Tier power."

Cao Tong’s tone was indifferent. "Whether you can learn it, and how much you can learn, is entirely up to you."

In his mind, if Lin Yu could grasp even thirty percent of his bde intent, it would already be an achievement.
