Pros and Cons of Ice

Vulpix, Sandshrew, Vanilite, Sneasel, Snorunt, and Castform.

Eventually I'll have them all on my team, but I still need to do it one at a time. Slow is smooth and smooth is fast after all. Ok; breakdown the pro and cons.

  Castform- The Weather Pokémon.

Pro- makes for a great coverage Pokémon for my planned team.

  - as a weather manipulator, it can help train my team in manipulation of energy.

  - can definitely handle the high end battles because it naturally learns Hydro Pump, Fire Blast, Hurricane, and Blizzard.

  - Weather Ball.

Cons- as an artificial Pokémon, its freaking expensive. only researchers or Ace trainers can afford to get them.

  - good luck pulling one away from a lab or weather observatory.

  - If I want one as a starter, I'll likely have to work as a research assistant for years.

  - cant find anything on how to care for one, though I'd probably get that while working at a lab or on purchase.

  - does not evolve.

  Sandshrew- Mouse Pokémon.

Pro- Its a variant of the Kanto Sandshrew, that's interesting.

  - Secondary type Steel, makes them tougher with 8 resists.

  - They are the fastest thing in the snow or under it after evolving.

Unauthorized reproduction: this story has been taken without approval. Report sightings.

  - It evolves.

Cons- its a 2ft tall 88 pound mouse. Feeding one will definitely be expensive.

  - Double weakness to Fighting and Fire. Not really an issue now, but it will be when I leave the mountain.

  - It learns Nothing naturally except what its born with. Every move will take longer to learn.

-It will only evolve on the mountain, not really a con, as I plan to stay until its safe to leave.

  - Lives in burrows. will make it hard to find.

  Sneasel- Sharp Claw Pokémon

Pro- Its a hunter feeding one will probably be easy.

  - Sharp claws will make carrying a pocket-knife a thing of the past.

  - Expert Sneak/thief

  - Evolves.

  - Secondary Dark typing gives it an immunity to Psychic.

Con- Its natural food is Vulpix and Sandshrew. Getting one first might ruin my chances with both.

  - They hunt in packs.

  - I might be automatically blamed by egg breeders and cops just for having one by reputation.

  - Apparently associated with divorce. having one as a starter could ruin some relationships later, if I ever live long enough to have one.

  - Finding one will be a problem. I'm more likely to be killed than catch one.

-secondary typing gives 2 more weaknesses and a double to fighting.

  Snorunt- Snow Hat Pokémon

Pro- It eats Ice. Feeding should be no problem. more research needed.

  - Weather Ball, surprisingly.

  - they grow fast.

  - 2 different evolutions.

  - mega evolution??? more research needed.

  - made from Snorunt fur is the warmest winter material. Getting one will be necessary for an Ice specialist.

  - Snorunt are probably the friendliest one on this list.

  - Glalie are the Original Animators (contests?)

Cons- the eating ice thing can cause problems with the Vanilite line as Glalie love to eat them. Research needed.

  - they live in villages. will need permission to have one.

  - Shiny Stones are rare. (Frostlass)

  Vanilite- Fresh Snow Pokémon

Pro- they are pure Ice type energy.

  - they get stronger with mastery of said energy.

  - they drink pure water and turn it into ice to grow.

  - 2 evolutions

  - Can make Nevemelt Ice when strong enough. keep Glalie fed?

  - Naturally learns Sheer Cold.

  Cons- Weather Ball by teaching.

  - Cannot leave the mountain until it is strong enough to make Nevermelt Ice.

  Vulpix- Fox Pokémon "Keokeo"?

Pro- Seems to be treated as royalty on the mountain.

  -Another 'Kanto' Pokémon

  - Evolves into a true dragon slayer.

Con- they prefer to be left alone.

  - they eat their meat frozen.

  - they travel in skulks led by a Ninetales.

  - Weather Ball by teaching.

  - Hunted by Sneasel. Have to get one before I get a Sneasel. Should evolve it first as well.

  - picks up a double weakness to Steel.

  What would you pick?
