Chapter One: The Coerced Dragon
"Haozi, this ghost village doesn't even have chickens laying eggs, let alone a single ghost shadow. Are you sure there's an ancient tomb?"
In the late afternoon, two backpackers who looked like they had been through a lot arrived at Fengmen Village. The road to the village had been blocked off due to the construction of the dam on the Xiao Yao River, and the valley was eerily quiet, making Fengmen Village seem even more sinister.
"Haozi, look at the rooftop!" The two walked into the village, Pangzi looked around curiously, this village had been uninhabited for over a decade, the roads were overgrown with weeds, and Pangzi discovered something strange.
"What's all the yelling about?" Qin Hao cursed. But this dead silent ghost village still gave people a kind of innate psychological pressure, and as soon as he entered the village, he had some idea of the feng shui here.
This is China's famous Sealed Village, also known as Dead Village, Ghost Village. For over a decade, no one has lived here.
Qin Hao looked in the direction that Pangzi was pointing and suddenly understood: "The tiles are covered with grass, no wonder it's called a dead-end village. It seems my judgment wasn't wrong after all."
"It's all over!" Fatso said.
"It's just a house with grass growing on the roof, that's still acceptable, but every single house here has grass growing on the roof. My judgment seems to be correct after all. This place was originally a feng shui treasure land, but now it's become a desolate land, known as 'Gu Yin' or 'Lonely Shade', which means a place where families will eventually die out." Qin Hao hesitated, seemingly considering whether he should go inside and fight.
"The solitary and desolate household......" The fatty's face suddenly turned uglier than if he had seen a ghost.
There is a saying that goes, "tiles on the roof grow grass, this household will be extinct." In Chinese Feng Shui, it is said that a lonely yin (isolated and damp) house will definitely lead to extinction. If the tiles on the roof can grow grass, it must be an extremely damp and moldy house. The interior of the house must also be dark, damp, and gloomy, with very heavy moisture. Bacteria born from dampness will surely thrive, and extinction is certain.
"Haozi, are you sure this is a place of solitary darkness?" Pangzi wiped the sweat off his brow, clearly hoping for a different answer.
"This mountain village has plenty of sunshine, and although there are trees around the house, they don't block out the sunlight, so it's not possible that the yin energy is due to a lack of sunlight. Let's go to the top of the distant mountain, then I can determine the feng shui layout here. And you, stop calling me by my nickname." Qin Hao scolded.
"Oh, oh." The fatty looked around and quickly followed, as if there was a ghost chasing him from behind.
As the sun was about to set, the two finally climbed up the mountain. When Qin Hao looked at the entire mountain range, he was shocked.
"Mother earth, this is a solitary yin and absolute pulse! This was originally a geomantic treasure land, unfortunately..." Qin Hao said from the distant mountain.
"What a pity."
"Unfortunately, the river water on that side has dried up, and once the water vein is cut off, the energy is gone. It's said that the energy comes from the shape, and a broken mountain can't be buried. But it's not so bad that it becomes a malignant land, it's just not as good as before. There are other reasons for this." Qin Hao suddenly turned around, revealing a mysterious expression.
"You... you've been possessed or something." The fatty was scared by this expression and thought that this was a ghost village, the fatty's cold sweat flowed freely.
"Damn it, you've finally gone crazy!" Qin Hao ignored him, took out the things from his backpack, and changed into a special rat costume for Dou Dou. Qin Hao held the compass and began to divide the gold and determine the hole according to the terrain. After about an hour of work, Qin Hao stopped at a slope.
"The Qin tomb is buried in the mountain ridge, and the Han tomb is buried on a steep slope. Ah, this time it's really happened, it's a Han Dynasty tomb site." Fatzi was overjoyed at Qin Hao's words, completely forgetting his fear from just now. As the saying goes, people die for wealth and birds die for food, it's indeed true.
Qin Hao put away the compass, then grabbed a handful of dirt and sniffed it at his nose, afterwards he threw it on the ground, lit up a cigarette: "The rest is up to you now."
"Bastard, all the bitter ones are mine, and all the easy ones are yours." The fatty muttered under his breath.
Qin Hao said with a straight face and a confident tone: "I'm doing technical work."
"Shall we rob this tomb? Is it likely to be booby-trapped?" Fatso thought for a moment, then turned back to ask.
Qin Hao was taken aback and smiled slyly: "Compared to you not bringing a condom when going to see the mistress, it's much more dangerous."
In the pitch-black night, Fatso turned on his flashlight: "At this time, there's still room to joke around. Let's make a deal, if one of us kicks the bucket, we have to help take care of the other person's family. If both..."
Baozi hadn't finished speaking when Qin Hao picked up a handful of mud and covered Baozi's mouth: "Don't be so inauspicious."
"Pffft...!" The fatty spat out the mud in his mouth and scolded, "Bastard, who's as shameless as you?"
"The earth is a thick and virtuous thing, just enough to seal your crow's mouth." Qin Hao finished speaking and crawled back into the thief's hole. The fatty looked around and followed him in. As soon as he entered, a black shadow flashed across the entrance of the thief's hole and disappeared.
"Dig it open, I'm suffocating!" Fatso yelled from behind.
"You fat pig have almost blocked the hole, of course, you suffocated, it's done." Qin Hao scolded loudly, he didn't expect that fatty also followed in.
"Go in if you've opened it, it's not my fault that mom is fat." The fatty poked Qin Haokui with his finger.
"Girl, you don't know that you need to dissipate the dead air first, put on a mask and let the dead air dissipate." Qin Hao said, kicking it back.
Fatso hadn't even had time to react when Qin Hao kicked him far away. Just as he was about to curse, a foul smell suddenly came over and almost fainted. He quickly put on his mask and felt a bit better. Qin Hao took out a large flashlight and shone it into the tomb chamber, which wasn't small, and had murals. His mother, this time they hit the jackpot, no need to look at that face of a nouveau riche.
Just as he was rejoicing, a ball of eerie blue light suddenly lit up in the cave, giving Qin Hao a fright.
Turning back, the fat guy was fully focused on sending a text message with his mobile phone, using an old-fashioned blue screen, which made the entire cave dimly lit in blue.
"Damn it!" Qin Hao cursed and snatched the phone away: "What time is it, still sending me texts!"
The fat boy looked pitiful, but Qin Hao made a gesture of taking away his phone and took a look at the confiscated phone. Suddenly, he softened, it turned out that the fat boy was sending the last text message to his family.
"Brother, take this." Qin Hao rummaged through his rat-leather jacket and then handed a small trinket to Fatty.
"Give me your Mó Jīn Fú! What are you going to do?"
"Just take it and stop talking nonsense." Qin Hao said in a low voice.
Fat boy suddenly flushed with anger, and poked Qin Hao's butt again. Qin Hao didn't hesitate and kicked him back once more.
The air was almost cleared, Qin Hao removed the other bricks and walked in first, shining his flashlight around, and was immediately shocked. The entire tomb chamber was frighteningly large, with murals all around depicting the life of the tomb owner.
"What kind of person is this tomb owner, so majestic and wearing a mask." Fatso turned on his flashlight as soon as he entered, looking at the trend of the murals, that eerie face of the tomb owner made him feel a bit numb.
"Stop sighing, let's get to work." Qin Hao intended to make a quick decision, but when the two of them walked to the center of the tomb chamber, they suddenly felt a surge of yin energy rushing towards their faces. Even with masks on, that surge of yin energy still made people feel chilly in their hearts and uncomfortable all over their bodies.
Just then, Fatso suddenly said: "Hao... Haozi..."
This shout almost scared Qin Hao to the point of incontinence, at a critical moment you can't call someone's nickname or real name, reminded Fatty so many times, but he still called out.
"Damn it, you've been watching too much 'Ghost Blows Out the Light', haven't you? I didn't tell you not to..."
But before he could finish cursing, the flashlight landed on the fat man's pointing direction. It was a person, surprisingly a living person standing in front of them, wearing ancient costumes, with different appearances and more than one. Their eyes stared straight at them, and the fat man holding the candle suddenly turned pale.
"Run, fatty!" Qin Hao shouted, but just as he ran to the entrance of the cave, he heard Fatty say: "Don't run, this is neither a living thing nor a rice dumpling."
He turned around, took a closer look with trepidation, and then let out a sigh of relief. The fatty kicked the stone statue hard and scolded: "You scared me to death, these things are almost as good as the real thing."
He let out a sigh of relief, but Qin Hao didn't pay attention to the fatty. Although it was just a false alarm, he still felt that something wasn't right. Such a large ancient tomb, who exactly was buried inside?
"The inner coffin is made of bronze, and the eight characters are not hard to decipher. Do not approach if you cannot solve it." Qin Hao thought of a sentence from the Dragon Seeking Manual, and surprisingly, the coffin in the center of the tomb chamber was indeed a bronze one.
Thinking of all this, Qin Hao was stunned. The bronze coffin was about the size of several ordinary coffins, and in front of it stood six people. However, what was strange was that these six people belonged to different dynasties, from the Han Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, one for each dynasty.
Pangzi's face looked as if he had lost his father, and the six stone statues spanning the ages were placed here to represent what?
Qin Hao suddenly had an impulse, that was to open the coffin and see what's inside. It seemed like something was driving him, he walked towards the bronze coffin, the entire coffin was carved with dragon totems, golden and glittering, as if a dragon was about to ascend to heaven.
"What are you doing, come back..." Fatty discovered something was wrong, but he couldn't think that Qin Hao would actually walk towards the bronze coffin. No matter how he called out to him, Qin Hao seemed not to have heard him at all. He bit his teeth and charged forward with the Mó Jīn symbol in hand, but it was too late.
A strange scene unfolded, Qin Hao suddenly rose into the air, his eyes filled with desire. He stretched out his hand and pushed towards the coffin lid. The coffin lid, which was thought to be immovable, was surprisingly easily opened. Fatso was stunned, he quickly jumped up and grabbed Qin Hao's sleeve, trying to pull him down. However, the more he pulled, the higher Qin Hao rose, as if he himself was also being mesmerized by something. He too rose into the air and saw that inside the bronze coffin, there was another coffin.
It was a pure black wooden coffin, this coffin is nearly twice as large as an ordinary one, and the height is also unusually high, not counting the arched lid, it's more than half a person tall.
The coffin is exquisitely crafted, not an ordinary object. Both ends, all sides and the lid are painted with gold lacquer in five colors, depicting auspicious celestial objects such as cranes and qilins to bless the deceased inside the coffin to become immortal after death.
On the coffin lid, there is a star map of the twenty-eight constellations in the sky. The bottom of the coffin is surrounded by a circle of golden patterns with cloud designs. I don't know what secret method was used, but after thousands of years, the colors are still as bright and vivid as new.
The ghostly Qin Hao walked towards the black coffin, just as expected, Qin Hao pushed open the black coffin again, very easily, without any nails, a bronze ancient corpse appeared before the two of them, emitting a chilling aura that made one's heart palpitate, the mask was exactly like the one in the mural, and this bronze ancient corpse was holding only one thing, which was a dark purple jade butterfly.
Affected by the evil spirit, Qin Hao finally reacted. The string in his heart seemed to be touched. Although he was afraid, he involuntarily grabbed towards the jade butterfly. He felt that the jade butterfly was his only chance of survival, because he knew this was a dragon rising to immortality, and the owner of this tomb wanted to ascend to immortality.
And those stone statues of different dynasties, if he didn't guess wrong, were all...
He picked up the jade butterfly, propped up the coffin board with one hand, and suddenly burst out of it, colliding with the chubby man who was staring blankly ahead. The force that sent both of them flying into the air seemed to vanish instantly.
"Run!" Qin Hao pulled up the fatty, only saying one word, because he saw that in front of the coffin there were still three positions, exactly matching the six people's positions, forming a Nine Palaces formation. He was suddenly horrified and didn't dare to look anymore.
But just as he turned around, a black shadow appeared in front of the two, and they were so scared that their souls left their bodies. However, at this moment, the black shadow spoke: "Halt, hand over your things."
Hei Ying pulled out a dark and shiny object, Qin Hao and the others finally reacted, it was a person, and it was a woman. He had just let out a sigh of relief when he suddenly thought of the three remaining positions, and his eyes widened in shock: "Lonely yin confines the dragon, nine palaces ascend to immortality, Pangzi is the seventh, I am the eighth, and she is the ninth... it was like this all along..."
The woman didn't know what Qin Hao said, she just took off her veil and revealed a delicate face. Qin Hao was shocked: "It's you!"
"It's me, didn't you expect it?" The woman sneered: "Hand over the thing, otherwise..."
"Go, or it will be too late to go." Qin Hao rushed over, the woman thought Qin Hao was also going to grab the gun, and the fat man also rushed over. In a situation where he had no choice, a gunshot rang out, hitting Qin Hao's body. The woman was stunned.
Qin Hao fell to the ground, and Fatso was furious: "Haozi... cheap woman, I'll kill you."
"Bang" again, the fat man rolled to one side and fell onto an empty seat. The woman didn't notice, but just steadied her nerves. At this moment, the candlelight in the southeast corner suddenly went out.
"The Ghost Blows the Lamp." The woman was greatly shocked.
"Hahaha......" A gloomy laughter suddenly came from the tomb, making people's hair stand on end.
"It's actually the Dragon Ascending to Heaven Bureau!!" Qin Hao muttered, a purple light flashed, and then his consciousness blurred, unable to see anything...
P.S: Brothers and sisters, please collect, fresh flowers, hehehe......
