Chapter 1: The Realm of Inverse God
"With a proud smile, with a proud smile." A blond-haired man hummed a discordant tune as he drove his car down the yellow road, here in a plain near San Francisco, USA. The land was poor and crops were hard to grow, so it had become a sparsely populated area.
The car was speeding down the empty road, and the man muttered to himself, "Chinese songs are really interesting, I'll go learn a few more another day. Right, have we arrived yet?" He opened the navigation system in the car and took a look, "Damn it, still so far away. Can't this kid just move his home a bit closer?"
After another ten minutes or so, the man finally arrived at his destination, a massive stone castle.
The car stopped, and the man walked up, pressed the doorbell and said "Jialuo, it's me, open the door."
The door opened silently, and the blonde walked in, still muttering to herself, "Ugh, every time I come here it feels like I'm entering a haunted house. This kid doesn't even hire a decent-looking maid, it's so depressing. No way, if he keeps this up, he'll end up with agoraphobia for sure. Unless... unless I introduce him to some of my lovely lady friends, hmm, that might just work..."
"Not at all." A faint voice came from the top of the man's head, and the blond-haired man didn't show any embarrassment on his face. "Ah, Gallo, you're here, don't say that, this idea isn't good? You're already 20 years old, still a virgin, you know, in America now, a 15-year-old virgin going out would be laughed at, I think it's better for me to do a good deed and help you, besides..."
"Shut up." The man called Gallo slowly walked down the stairs, and the faint sunlight shone in, revealing his appearance.
Black hair and yellow skin, obviously a Chinese person, with an ordinary face but eyes filled with a calm feeling that is particularly attractive to others.
"Every time you come, you waste half a day with idle chatter. Bring the thing here." Gallo poured a glass of wine in front of the man and then rudely stretched out that slender, extremely perfect hand.
"Take it." One hand took the cup, and the other hand pulled out a small box and handed it to Gallo's hand. "Every time I see your hands, I sigh that such perfect hands are only doing chemical experiments. This is the hand of a first-rate artist or pianist." After taking a sip of wine, "Of course, also the hand of a first-rate killer."
Garro didn't listen to the other's words, opened the box, and a sparkling blue sapphire appeared in his hand. "Hmm, not bad, top-grade矢车菊blue, Jack, take the money from my account yourself." Garro looked at it, satisfied, covered the box, and put it into his pocket.
"You've been asking for more and more troublesome things lately, what kind of experiment do you need this material for? Sigh, never mind, you alchemists are always mysterious anyway. Oh right, Galo, I can let you take a trip outside the city, it'll probably take about a month."
"Oh, is there a task?"
"Uh-huh," Jack nodded, "There's a rumor that a Baron-level vampire has been spotted in Paris. The organization wants me to check it out."
"Is that so." Gallo nodded slightly.
Garo, that was the boy from back then. The next day he was discovered by an old man who had come to China for tourism. After helping him bury his sister, the old man brought him to America. And this old man, who claimed to be called Jemila, turned out to be an alchemist.
Alchemist, is a very rare profession in this world, alchemists have always been passed down through generations, an alchemist can only have one apprentice, Jack was the only grandson of Jemila, unfortunately he didn't have any alchemy talent, instead he joined the CIA, regarding this, the old man didn't say anything, because without talent, it's impossible to become a qualified alchemist.
Originally regretful that he would be taking his skills to the grave, he came to the legendary beautiful country of China for sightseeing and tourism, but unexpectedly, here, he encountered a person with extremely high talent, that person was Gallo.
Moreover, Galo seems to be extremely interested in alchemy, absorbing Jemira's teachings like a whale drinking water, and has already reached the advanced realm of spiritual alchemy in just five years.
Alchemy is actually the ability to form new items by changing materials, and this ability requires extremely high spiritual power. Jack was unqualified in this regard and therefore could not inherit his knowledge.
Relatively, Garro's spiritual power was amazingly high from a young age. Primary alchemists need to rely on alchemy arrays to change materials, and only alchemists who have reached a certain level can convert materials with just their own spiritual power. Garro could directly use spiritual alchemy at the age of sixteen, which also made Jemirah feel relieved.
At eighteen years old, Jemila was after all a ninety-year-old elderly person and passed away.
At Gemma's funeral, Gallo met Jack for the first time and surprisingly they hit it off immediately, becoming good friends. At that time, Jack was already a member of the Special Investigation Unit.
"Take it, consider it a gift." Gallo pulled out a ring and tossed it over.
Jack caught it, took a look, and the ring was made entirely of pure silver, polished very smoothly, but the appearance wasn't very good-looking, with only a few grooves as decoration.
"It's ugly enough, I'll take it." Jack shrugged and put it in his pocket.
"Be careful yourself, and also close the door for me when you go out." After saying this, Gallo turned around and went back into his own room.
"Jack curled his lip 'Stinky little brat, still as unlovable as ever.'"
France, Paris.
"Hmm... it hurts." Jack sat weakly in a dark corner, clutching his left hand tightly, blood dripping down his arm.
"Damn the intelligence department, a count-level vampire actually said it was baron-level, if I go back later, I will definitely make you bleed to death. Barely bandaged the wound and decided to escape first."
"You'd better just eat me and get it over with." Suddenly, a voice came from above him, Jack was shocked, hastily lifted his head, and saw that the Earl-level vampire who had scratched him was now right above him.
"That vampire elegantly jumped down 'You really are a human who doesn't know life or death, well, I haven't eaten my fill these past few days, so I'll just have you as tonight's midnight snack.'"
Jack's face turned ugly, the intelligence mistake made him completely misjudge, he didn't have no weapons in his hand, but ordinary firearms had no effect on a Count-level vampire, and the only escape pod was also used up, was it to say that today he would die here.
The vampire pounced on him, and Jack's desire for survival made him desperately run away, but how could a human possibly outrun the vampire's pursuit.
Jack was cornered and had no way out.
"Resign yourself." The vampire rushed up, ready to savor this delicious feast.
Helplessly closed his eyes "Sorry, brother, I won't be able to see you again."
Just as the vampire's sharp fingernails were about to reach Jack, a burst of silver light suddenly flashed out from Jack's pocket. "Ah!" Under the illumination of the silver light, the vampire's entire body emitted gray smoke and let out a series of miserable cries. With such power, if it were an ordinary baron-level vampire, it would probably have been reduced to ashes already.
"What... is this?" Jack stared at the pocket on his chest in surprise, remembering that he shouldn't have had such a powerful weapon.
A ring slowly floated out of his pocket, and he saw clearly that it was the one Gallo had given him.
The ring floated in mid-air, at this moment, the vampire barely managed to recompose his body, the elegant demeanor on his face had completely disappeared, his face twisted with rage, wanting to tear Jack into a million pieces to vent his anger.
However, the ring suddenly floated in front of him, and he was stunned. The ring suddenly emitted an even more dazzling light, which gave him a big fright, thinking it was an even stronger radiation, and hastily retreated.
But this time the light didn't have any destructive power at all. Instead, that ring actually transformed in mid-air!
Like mercury expanding and twisting, in just a few seconds, that ring had transformed into something as tall as a person.
When the white light dissipated, what appeared before Jack and the vampire was a humanoid figure entirely made of silver metal! Its legs were slightly short, but its arms were strong and powerful. On its head was an ancient knight's helmet-like object.
"Jack's eyes widened in shock. "My god... This... This is the super high-level technique my grandfather told me about, Puppet Alchemy!"
The silver knight lowered his body and charged towards the vampire, who was startled by such a strange thing that he had never seen before. He hastily gathered his strength in both hands and grabbed at the opponent fiercely.
The sharp fingernails of both hands easily pierced the body of the silver knight, and it seemed that this thing was not very strong either. However, immediately, his complexion changed.
The silver metal was pierced by several holes, but it healed immediately. Moreover, it also firmly grasped his fingernails. Then, the silver knight hugged his waist with both hands, bent down and gave him a fierce Argentine backbreaker.
The vampire, although physically different from humans, would still feel pain if his head was hit with a heavy blow, and the force of this one was absolutely powerful. After all, the user was a metal man who didn't care about physical harm at all. The vampire suddenly exerted his strength, even breaking off his own fingernails to break free, spreading his wings and flying into the air.
Blood continued to drip from his head, and the last blow had shattered even the ground, it was clear how powerful it was. The vampire gritted its teeth, knowing that now was the time to escape. Facing a silver metal creature like this, its own claws and fangs would not be able to cause much harm, and the strongest blood magic might not leave much damage on the opponent's pure silver body. The terror of possibly disappointing itself was greater, but as a proud vampire count, it absolutely could not allow itself to leave like this.
Suddenly, it saw Jack still dazed not far away, and immediately came up with a plan. This silver knight seemed unable to fly, and was obviously protecting the human. In that case, as long as he killed the human, he would be avenged too.
He thought and acted, the vampire dived down and rushed towards Jack. Jack suddenly woke up, but it was too late, his opponent had already rushed in front of him!
However, something unexpected happened. The Silver Knight suddenly crouched down, his legs exerting force as he jumped up to a height of 15 meters in an instant, immediately landing on top of the vampire. His hands grasped and manipulated the silver metal, transforming it into a massive battle-axe. With a swift and powerful swing, the axe split the vampire in two. Fortunately, this blow struck the vampire's blood core, and combined with the power of pure silver, the poor Blood Clan Earl was unable to let out even a final scream as he burned to death on the spot.
Jack sat down on the ground, his legs going soft, this battle had really short-circuited his brain. At that moment, a silver knight emerged from the flames, like a newborn demon king, and slowly walked up to him.
The current Jack, didn't even have the strength to move, stared blankly as the Silver Knight approached him, but an even more astonishing situation occurred.
Inside the Silver Knight's mask, Garo's voice came out "You're really careless, Jack, are you badly hurt?"
"Ka... Ka-ro!" Jack was completely stunned, what's going on!
The silver knight nodded humanely, "I had a bad premonition before you left, looks like it's come true. But don't worry, I think that vampire won't be able to survive."
Jack sprang up and rushed towards the silver knight, his hands stroking the cold metal "How is this possible, what kind of thing are you!? Grandfather's records never mentioned that there would be a speaking alchemy product, no, even if it were a perfect puppet alchemy, it shouldn't have such action skills, how did you do it...". Suddenly, his face changed "Could it be... you've grasped that!"
"……" He fell silent for a moment, and the silver knight nodded slightly. "Yes, you also know that this is my only hope."
"But, but!" Jack was almost incoherent.
"Nothing more to say, Jack. I've already... made up my mind. The final experiment is about to begin. One last thing, thank you, friend." As the words fell, the silver knight dispersed into white light and transformed back into a ring.
"Jack trembled as he picked up the ring. "No! You fool, why did you go and learn that, Soul Alchemy? That's a divine realm that legendary alchemists can't even set foot in! Once you enter, you'll pay the most severe price!"
