“So, are you two going to tell me anything about this boy?” the guild master asked me and Tessa.

  Currently we were in his office, after the incident in the main part of the building we were taken in here.

  For some reason, Tessa has been really attached to me since the guild master tried to use magic on me.

  When we were brought back here, she expined that your ability to resist something like mind control is directly proportional to your skill in that subject. Same goes for elemental magic, the more skilled you are at fire magic, the more fire defense you will have.

  So, since I currently have no skill in mind control, the guild master tried to use that to make me tell him my status.

  “Nope” I say, really not happy with this position. I mean seriously, this asshole's staff spread rumors about me, leading me to get attacked, then tried to mind control me. “Also can we leave, I need to find a new town to live in” I say, just to screw with him.

  “Now, don’t say that, we can give someone of your strength a lot of support.” he said, panicking. In truth, he had already called for the nobel who runs Bck Hollow to see if they could offer me any special deals since I keep threatening to leave the town, and Tessa was going along with it.

  Though, I do not pn on leaving since I don’t know anything else about this world yet. But I am not sure about Tessa.

  But before we can say anything else, a man comes running into the room. He was wearing very nice clothes, but he had to catch his breath.

  “Mr. Swartz, thank you for coming” the guild master said to the man.

  “What the heck do you mean that Tessa the bde princess was going to be leaving? She is a very important person to this city, we don’t have a lot of S css adventurers who want to live in this town” He asked, totally ignoring everyone else in the room.

  “Um, well you see…” the guild master started, only to be interrupted by Tessa.

  “The guild master is a self important dickbag who is ok with his staff bad mouthing new adventures for being strong” She said.

  “I wouldn’t put it like that, and Mr. None did fight someone in the middle of the guild” the guild master brought up.

  But that wasn’t important. The second that this Mr. Phobio saw Tessa, he stopped paying attention to the guild master and started begging her not to leave.

  “I’ll give you anything. Please don’t leave, this city is not big enough to support any other S rank adventure, but we have threats to warrant having one here most of the time.” he said, basically kneeling in front of her.

  “My problem isn’t the city, it's this guild master, and his staff” she said.

  “Fine. David, you're fired” Mr Phobio said. “ANd any of your apparently gossip staff members”

  “Wait” I said, not wanting to cost this man his job. “Isn’t that extreme?” I asked the two of them.

  “Hmm, who are you?” Mr Phobio said.

  “None, he clearly underestimates you for no reason. He isn’t fit to be a guild master” Tessa said.

  “Um, I'm the person who was being gossiped about.” I told Mr. Phobio. “And Tessa, we can’t just assume everyone is going to assume that I am… what rank I am”

  “Still won’t say it, huh” the guild master, David, said.

  “Oh, I assumed it was more rumors about Tessa, but they were about you? Ms. Tessa, why did you step into this situation, you normally stay on the side lines?” Mr Phobio asked her.

  “None is my friend. And I would not normally be ok with someone using mind control to see personal info to someone clearly hiding their status” Tessa said, adding a snide comment to the guild master.

  “Hmm, I see what is going on then. David, you are going to be doing some more training, both with me and the head of the guild in the capital. If I do this, will you please stay, Ms. Tessa?” Mr Phobio asked.

  “I think that could work, as long as None gets an apology” She said.

  “Of course” The guild master said. “I can only offer my own, but Mr None, I deeply apologize to you. I was lost in the interest I had in your status, and did something unbecoming, and I let the guild staff misrepresent you to the other adventures. If you ever need anything from the guild, please ask me. We are also open to giving you a higher rank, if you would like”

  “Its fine, and thank you for the apology. I will be staying at Bronze for the time being” I told him.

  “Oh, thank god this all turned out fine” Mr Phobio. “Mr None, Ms. Tessa, I would like to offer my own apology, and can even give you dinner tonight if you are interested. It would be at my mansion of course. My head chef is a A rank tier 2 chef, so his food is very good” He offered us.

  “I don’t think…” Tessa started.

  “I would love to” I said, super excited about the idea of trying his food, and maybe getting a chance to get tips on cooking. Then a thought occurred. Nobels are normally really fancy people, and my clothes are pretty cassule. “Um, as long as I don’t have to dress up for this diner”

  “Of course you don’t have to. I don’t really care for all of the grandstanding of most nobles, it separates us too much from the people we serve” he says.

  “Ah, fine, we can come to dinner” Tessa said. “Well go get ready and then head right over, or do you need time to get ready?”

  “Nope, all is good”

  “Great” Tessa said. “None, let's get going”

  And the two of us left the office. When we got back to the main part of the guild, I got a bunch of stares from everyone, but when I looked back, they quickly turn away.

  But we left without any other incident.

  “So, why do you want to go to this dinner?” Tessa asked me as we headed back to the inn.

  “I think it would be nice to see what the high ranking chefs can make food wise. I am trying to get into that css right now, and I like food” I told her.

  “Hmm, so thats it, food” Tessa said with a smile. “You are very cute and straight forward sometimes”.

  When she called me cute, I started to blush.

  But we quickly got to the inn.

  “So you go change, then we can head to my house so I can change, then we can head over since you don’t know where the counts house is” Tessa told me as we entered my room.

  “Great," I said, and started grabbing clothes from my dresser. The clothes I decide on were a pair of short shorts, and a long sweater with an undershirt. The sweater was light grey and pink pid, and was long enough to go past my waist. I also but on a pair of knee high socks that were pink with bck dots. And a set of boots, I finished up my outfit.

  Tessa had been watching me change this whole time, and when I was fished, she spoke up.

  “You look good, lets go” she said. And we headed out of the inn again.

  We started heading to Tessa’s house, which I had never been to before. She seemed kind of nervous while we walked over there.

  And when we got there, I understood why.

  Her house was a full on mansion, and when we entered, we were greeted by her staff.

  “Tessa, are you super rich?” I asked her.

  “Oh, yeah. S rank adventurers make a lot of money, and I used to be pretty famous” she told me.

  “I never really thought about money like that… This pce is huge” I said, not being able to take it all in.

  “Hmm, well you wait around here, Ill go get better clothes for dinner” she said, and left to her room, I think.

  And a few minutes ter, she got back, wearing a dress with a light dress skirt and white blouse. The shoulders of the sleeves weren’t there, so I could see her shoulders. I thought it looked very good on her, but also that the dress was very well made on its own.

  “Are you ready?” she ask me.

  “Of course” I say, and the two of us leave her house.
