A few hours ter, Colin and Deirdre had retired up to a bedroom to rest, neither feeling extroverted enough to continue talking in the now-crowded tavern. Erika had also departed, though Alice could tell it was mostly out of discomfort from not knowing anyone. Alice had given the awkward witch a brief hug and wished her good night, unsure why she had done that, before returning to sit with Bridgette. In the meantime, Dan had shut down his other shop and stopped by the tavern to get a te meal.   Jenni rolled her eyes and ughed at the expression on the two women's faces. Finally, Kait and Dan came up for air, the tavern owner looking somewhat apologetic and blushing as he realized that the adventurers were staring at him with open mouths.

  "Look, I can expin," he said with a ughing tone. "I'm not an adulterer!"

  "Oh hush," Jenni said and pinched Kait on the ass, making the brunette leap out of Dan's p with a yelp of pain. Jenni leaned over and kissed Dan just as passionately, if somewhat awkwardly due to her pregnant belly. When she, too, came up for air, she turned back to Alice and shrugged. "See?"

  "No," Alice said, stunned. "I really, really, don't."

  "Hey babe," Kait sat as she shoved Dan out of his chair. "Can you get me something to drink? I want to chat with our friends and Jenni." The man stood, shaking his head and ughing, and walked off, pulling a pint of beer and giving it to his brunette wife before wandering to the other side of the tavern to sit with some vilgers and talk. As Alice gnced around the room, she noticed that there tended to be more women than men, and that most men had at least one, often more, women surrounding them.

  "What's going on here?," Alice asked, confusion pin on her face.

  "Well, you know that Dan and I were unicorn hunters, right?" Jenni began as Kait pulled her chair over and cuddled into the pink-and-blonde haired woman. Alice gnced at Bridgette and the two women shrugged at each other, totally lost. "Oh boy, okay. Uhm, where to begin. Well, you recall the first time that you were here, you two made such a racket having sex that night, the next morning I made a pass at you, saying that I'd have invited you guys to join me and Dan?"

  "Wait, you made a pass at us?," Bridgette said, looking confused. Alice's mouth hung open once more, shocked by the admission, staring at the blonde woman in disbelief.

  "I mean, yes, but obviously it wasn't the right fit," Jenni said. "Not everyone is into that, and you didn't even understand what I was asking, so it's all fine. But Dan and I both love having sex with other women and even before all of this went down, we'd frequently try to find unicorns to join us. They're called unicorns because the chances of finding an attractive single female who wants to be the third to a married couple, when both the husband and the wife want to find a woman to join and everyone agrees on everyone else and there's mutual attraction, well, you're at about zero. But sometimes we'd meet someone and things would work out."

  "Woah," Bridgette said, stunned. "I mean, woah. That's a real thing?"

  "Sure is," Kait said, her cheeks dimpling as she smiled. "Surely you don't mean to tell me you've never had a threesome before?"

  "Uh, no," Bridgette said, gncing toward Alice who also shook her head. "I, uh, can't say we have."

  "You dies are certainly missing out," Jenni said with a smirk. "If I wasn't all knocked up, I'd ask Dan for a hall pass and show you two how it's done, but I think that ship has sailed."

  "Well, I don't home-wreck as a general rule," Kait said, "But I had just come to town and saw these two. I hit it off with Jenni, the two of us got along so well, and then this strong hunk of a man walked in and picked her up and kissed her silly and I just knew this was where I was meant to be. I wanted both of them to just absolutely ravish me."

  "Originally, it was going to be a fun thing to honor Fi - we'd invite Kait into our bed and the three of us would just make it a fun night to remember," Jenni said, picking up the story again. "But the deeper we got, the more that Dan and I felt this seemed right, and Kait agreed. We even felt a little of what seemed like Fi's magic, you know? The woman leaned down, kissing Kait deeply, then followed the brunette as Kait led her back to the table, holding her hand and guiding her through the tavern. "Rika, I want you to meet Alice and Bridgette. They're the ones that Jenni always talks about. Alice, Bridgette, this is our third wife, Rika."

  "Pleased to meet you," the Asian woman said diplomatically. "I hope she hasn't been too much of an imposition on you. Kait can be a bit of a handful."

  "Oh no, not at all," Alice hurried to say. "She's great, she and Jenni were just telling us about how they met."

  Rika grimaced, gncing at the brunette who smiled unapologetically back. Rika turned, kissing Jenni, then addressed the table. "I apologize, it's been a long day. I would love to chat another time, but I must shower and I can barely keep my eyes open." The women nodded, excusing her, and watching as she walked to Dan, kissing him and whispering in his ear before she walked off into a back room. As the women watched, Dan excused himself from his conversation with townspeople to knowing chuckles, then followed his wife into the back room.

  "Kait and Rika used to be an item, but lost track of each other when, you know, the world ended," Jenni expined. "Rika eventually found her way here and discovered that Kait had joined with Dan and me. It took a lot of talking, but everyone was an adult about it, and honestly we just want each other to be happy. Rika wasn't that big into men, but Kait and I worked on her for a while, and honestly Dan won her over. He's such a sweetheart with her."

  "He's not that much of a sweetheart with me," Kait said with a mock pout.

  "That's because he knows you prefer being the brat who needs to get fucked to behave," Jenni ughed. "But you get your cuddles, too. Now go get," she said and shooed Kait away from the table. "I want to chat with my gals."

  "Sure, sure," Kait said, ughing as she got to her feet. "But don't be upset when we don't leave any for you," she teased, sticking her tongue out.

  "I'm on the bench anyway," Jenni said as she patted her stomach. "It's less fun to watch." Kait strolled off, intentionally rolling her hips as she did, and then slipped into the back room to follow Dan and Rika.

  "Wow," Alice said, completely baffled by the experience. "And you all get along?"

  "I mean, like any retionship, there are ups and downs. I'm sure you two have had rough patches like the rest of us." Alice grimaced, the previous weeks fshing back in her mind. "But the important thing is that we all love each other, and we want the group retionship to succeed. I didn't take my love for Dan and split it into three pieces, giving him less than I did before. Instead, I've got three times as much love in my life. And I know he's said the same in return. Also, it's great on evenings when I'm not up for it to send in the others. We keep him fed, fucked, and happy - and he treats us well in return.   Jenni smiled, reaching out and grasping their hands. "Thank you, friends. Fi knows I wouldn't be here without you, and anything I can do to ease your burdens, I will."
