Chapter 4: Locator Transmitter
When Du Le woke up, he found himself in his own room, with his anxious and worried parents standing beside him, feeling a pang of guilt in his heart.
To comfort his parents, he smiled slightly and said, "I'm fine."
"Really nothing? How could you faint?"
Du Le thought for a moment. Actually, he wasn't very clear either, but in order to make his parents less worried, Du Le had to say: "Maybe it was when I went to work and got heatstroke, then came back and stayed by the stove for a while, suddenly feeling unwell like this."
"Alas, don't be like this next time." His parents sighed softly. They had seen Du Le's exhaustion over the past few days. Sometimes, they would feel that it was they who were hindering his future.
"If it weren't for me..." The father felt deeply guilty.
"Dad, don't worry, once you're feeling better, I'll go out and find an even better job."
"Hey, old man, don't disturb your son's rest anymore!" The mother pulled the father out of the room, "Son, drink some more water first, dinner is ready, I'll bring it up to you later."
"Uh-huh, okay." Du Le replied.
After the parents left, the room suddenly became quiet. Du Le tried to get out of bed and stand up, but his head felt like it was being pressed down by a huge stone, several times heavier than usual, and he felt dizzy. He could only barely straighten his body and lean against the pillow on the headboard.
Du Le turned his head and took a glance, beside the bed was a small stool, on the stool there was a cup of cool water, Du Le was just about to pick it up to drink, when unintentionally, a grey cloth bag caught his eye.
As if thinking of something, Du Le reached out and picked up the cloth bag beside him, but what he saw in front of him made him extremely surprised.
The cloth bag that was originally thrown into the fire by him surprisingly didn't have any signs of damage, and it still looked ordinary. If Du Le wasn't certain that he had personally thrown it into the fire, he really wouldn't believe that this was a bag that had been burned by fire. Moreover, how did the cloth bag in the stove manage to run out? Was it picked up by his parents?
Du Le didn't guess wrong, it was indeed his parents who picked it up. After the burlap sack was thrown into the fire and pressed down on the firewood, the firewood was about to go out, and Du Le fainted beside it. His parents thought that the burlap sack might have been accidentally dropped into the fire by Du Le, so they helped him take it out.
All these are minor matters, Du Le is now suspicious that his brain injury has something to do with this cloth bag. Thinking about those adventure legends, no matter what name they go by to dig up ancient tombs, they will be subject to all sorts of curses. Du Le's hair stands on end at the mere thought. If it's really because he went to the ancient tomb and got some kind of curse or illness, how can this family continue to hold on?
The canvas bag was turned over and over by Du Le, but he couldn't find anything special about it. The only suspicious thing was the material of the canvas bag. A fire-resistant canvas bag, which Du Le discovered for the first time.
The more I think about it, the more confused I become, and my head is getting heavier. Since I couldn't figure it out, I might as well not think about it anymore. Du Le simply put the sack aside and gave up.
Lying in bed and resting for a while, my head felt a little better.
It was just a faint feeling, but Du Le felt as if there were something more in his mind.
"Ding, Locator Transporter, No. 001, startup successful."
A sudden voice appeared in Du Le's mind. This was completely different from the sounds he usually heard with his ears.
"What is it?" Du Le asked with a fearful heart. If something really ran into his mind, wouldn't that be very dangerous?
"Rhine Technology Co., Ltd. Quality Guaranteed. Our latest positioning transmitter will bring you into the fashionable life of instant movement."
An answer as smooth as an advertisement appeared in Du Le's mind.
Even a fool would guess that they are probably possessed by something.
Moreover, Du Le thought he was not a fool himself.
Slowly, Du Le's fiercely beating heart calmed down, and he picked a few questions that he urgently wanted to know the answers to, asking: "You who are speaking in my brain, who are you? Where did you come from? Will you harm me? What is your use?"
"I am the helper sprite of positioning transmitter No. 001; from Federal Starline Technology Co., Ltd.; absolutely harmless to humans; main function is to help users understand and use the product."
Du Le was afraid of the unknown. Although he didn't know whether what the spirit said was true or false, he gradually got rid of his fear and replaced it with curiosity.
"Locator transmitter? What's this thing for, is it used for transmitting?" Du Le asked curiously.
"Yes, the main function is to achieve instant transportation between two locations through spatial wormholes by locating and identifying coordinates."
"Wow," Du Le exclaimed excitedly, "can you really teleport?"
"Yes, as long as you have the coordinates engraved and located, you can proceed with the transmission."
Du Le hadn't been excited to the point of confusion and continued to ask: "Then how can we engrave the coordinates and locate them?"
"A energy crystal is needed, arrive at the other side first, with the help of the locator instrument, the coordinates can be automatically engraved, and then transmitted."
"What is an Energy Crystal? Do you have an Energy Crystal? Or where can I find an Energy Crystal?"
"Energy crystal, Federal Star Energy Mine energy stone products. Space capsule has no backup energy stone, energy mine has energy stone."
Du Le was stunned. This seemed like nonsense to him, and he still didn't understand what an Energy Stone was. However, the spatial pouch mentioned by the spirit helper caught his attention.
"What is a space pouch?" Du Le asked with anticipation, "Is it a special space that can be used to store items?"
"Space pod, exclusive spatial storage product of the positioning transmitter, with a moderate spatial capacity of about 100 cubic meters."
"Where is the space pouch? How do I open it to retrieve items?" Suddenly, Du Le thought of something and picked up a gray cloth bag. "Could this be the space pouch?"
"Yes, this is a portable spatial pouch for the locator transporter."
"Really!" Du Le suddenly sat up, "How to open?"
Space pouch, Du Le had never heard of such a thing in reality, but after seeing many, he understood its function and it was indeed great. Du Le considered himself enlightened, having obtained this cloth bag in the ancient tomb, what a treasure!
"The space pouch can be opened at any time through the storage launch key function of the locator transmitter."
Du Le took a deep breath and said: "Storage startup key? Where is it?"
"Ding, start transmission system desktop?"
"Launch." Du Le replied.
"Please close your eyes and make a choice."
Du Le closed his eyes, and suddenly a green light screen appeared in his mind. There were only four options on the screen: positioning, transmission, storage, and upgrade.
Du Le chose storage.
