Chapter 6: High School Reunion (2)

Chapter 6: High School Reunion (2)

Du Le actually wanted to chat with the positioning transmitter's helper spirit, in his mind, the positioning transmitter was a high-tech product, and the helper spirit should also be an intelligent system or program. Intelligence has always been that there is no best, only better! Helping the master turn danger into safety, making money and getting rich, all-powerful. However, Du Le soon found out that he had misjudged.

The Help Sprite is indeed just a help sprite for the Locator/Teleporter! It maintains an attitude of silence being golden on all matters unrelated to the Locator/Teleporter. Its function is almost identical to that of computer system help files. The only difference lies in one actively answering questions, while the other passively searches for answers to questions.

Before he knew it, time had passed quickly. Du Le, sitting on the edge of the bed, didn't notice Chen Lei standing in front of him at all.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Chen Lei slapped Du Le's shoulder and shouted.

Du Le was startled and looked up to see his old friend. "You scared me," he said with a smile, "I'm fine, just waiting for you."

"Are you waiting for me?" Chen Lei smiled and pointed at the cloth bag in Du Le's hand, "What's with this bag? Was it given to you by some beauty? You're staring at it so 'deeply'!"

"Go, beautiful girl. This is what I bought on the street to hold some small things." Du Le's face smiled and said, but in his heart he couldn't help but feel a little relieved that he hadn't put anything in the cloth bag yet, "Nothing's wrong, let's go."

"You're really not polite at all, how can I put it, I'm also your driver, let me take a sip of water first. This is what Auntie gave me." Chen Lei waved the bottle of mineral water in front of Du Le.

Du Le couldn't help but laugh when he saw Chen Lei's pleased expression. He stood up, tidied the room a bit, and then set off.

Chen Lei drove a motorcycle with Du Le on it, and before long, they arrived at a restaurant near their high school.

Dule put down the music and Chen Lei went to find a parking spot. Dule glanced at his cheap electronic watch, 4:45 pm, then looked around at the decorations inside the restaurant. The restaurant was empty, with almost no one there, it seemed they had arrived too early.

Chen Lei parked his motorcycle and walked over, just about to speak when he saw two familiar people walking towards them from a distance. Chen Lei suddenly smiled: "Class Monitor, you're here!" Du Le followed Chen Lei's line of sight and immediately recognized the two as their high school Class Monitor Liu Chunhua and Study Committee Member Wu Lina.

Liu Chunhua also saw Du Le and others, smiling and beckoning, "You guys came really early!"

"Haha, we just got here." Chen Lei replied.

"Du Le, long time no see!" Liu Chunhua also greeted Du Le on one side.

"Yes! It's been three or four years, I really miss the old times." Du Le smiled and replied.

The restaurant was open-air, similar to a big stall, with several tables and chairs placed at the entrance. Liu Chunhua and her friends moved over a few chairs, Chen Lei hastily took them over and put them in place: "This should be done by us boys, why bother you?"

Du Le was also momentarily stunned, and he subconsciously touched the back of his head, covering up his own clumsiness, and sat down on a chair that Chen Lei had brought over.

"Dule, you've gained a lot of weight, it seems like you're living quite well in college." Liu Chunhua teased, while Wu Lina smiled but didn't say anything.

It's worth mentioning that Du Le and Liu Chunhua had a pretty good relationship, after all, he was a diligent student at the time, otherwise, he wouldn't have had the opportunity to attend a decent university. However, after entering university, contact between classmates, especially with female classmates, became less and less frequent. This is normal, as it's difficult for men and women to have purely deep friendships, which has something to do not only with gender but also with different interests and hobbies.

"It's okay, after going to college, I got lazy and didn't exercise much, so naturally I ended up with a body full of fat." Du Le said with a smile. Suddenly, he remembered something and asked, "By the way, how much money do we need to pay this time?"

Chen Lei slapped his forehead, "Oh, I forgot to tell you. Eighty-five yuan, right? Class Monitor."

"Hehe, that's right." Liu Chunhua smiled and took out two small cards from her bag, handing them to Du Le and the others. "This is the latest class directory."

Du Le took a look at it and saw that the small card was densely filled with names and contact information.

"Ale, is your money enough? If not, I'll help you pay first," Chen Lei said.

"It's okay, I have money." Du Le said as he pulled out a 100-yuan bill from his pocket. Fortunately, before coming here, he had casually put 300 yuan of his wages in his pocket.

It may be that the interval was too long, and no longer as harmonious as before on campus, but Du Le was still chatting with the two ladies under Chen Lei's lead, making small talk.

The sky is getting darker, and the people in the restaurant are starting to work. The classmates are also increasing. Regardless of the depth of their previous relationship, Du Le greeted them one by one after all they were classmates in the same class.

However, there are some people who don't think Du Le should take the initiative to greet them.

Although most people have just graduated and are about to enter society to work, there are still some people who are different from others.

Just as they were about to sit down, several small cars stopped in front of the restaurant one after another, as if by prior agreement.

"Look, it's Ya Dan." Chen Lei touched Du Le's arm and said softly.

Zhao Yadan had confessed her love to Du Le after the college entrance examination. However, Du Le did not respond at that time, and his mind was preoccupied with going to university.

Du Le looked at Zhao Yadan in a white dress getting out of a fashionable small car, his heart slightly moved. But soon calmed down again.

Zhao Yadan got off the car and soon held hands with Li Xiwen who came up, walking towards the restaurant entrance.

"Hey, Le Ge, long time no see!" Li Xiwen seemed to have just discovered Du Le sitting at the gate and said with a hint of exaggeration.

"Hello, long time no see." Du Le smiled and replied, his eyes quickly scanning Zhao Yadan without leaving any trace. Zhao Yadan seemed to not recognize Du Le at all, her gaze fixed entirely on Li Xiwen.

Li Xiwen and Du Le exchanged greetings, then stood at the door with Zhao Yadan, waiting for several classmates who also drove over in small cars. The group gathered at the door, warmly asking about each other's well-being before reporting to class monitor Liu Chunhua.

Liu Chunhua smiled and replied one by one, looked around and shouted: "Everyone go to the second floor A package room, this restaurant looks small, but it has a wild flavor."

"Du Le, where are you working now?" Li Xiwen suddenly turned his head and asked Du Le, who was originally in the center of the crowd.

"What's the big deal about work? I'm just taking it easy at home." Du Le said with a smile.

"My uncle has a small company, and they're hiring. They really need someone like you, a university student. The salary is 1,500 yuan per month." Li Xiwen's demeanor suddenly became haughty, he glanced at Zhao Yadan, then looked down his nose at Du Le and said, "For Yadan's sake, I can introduce you to go for an interview."
