With deep doubts, he continued to move forward. Suddenly, a large pool of water appeared in front of him, blocking his path. The icy cold water in the dark river sent shivers down his spine as the flashlight cast an eerie glow. He thought to himself that he might have to wade through the water, so he dropped his bag on one side and sat down on the spot, preparing to take off his shoes. Just then, a voice suddenly rang out: "Wen Bin, dont go into the water!"
Zha Wenbin almost subconsciously withdrew his foot that was about to step into the pool, wasnt that the voice of that little girl? Is she here? Following the direction of the sound, Zha Wenbin suddenly raised his flashlight, and the sound came from the corner opposite him. The flashlight only illuminated rocks, but he had clearly heard it just now, that sentence "Wenbin Ge" was not her calling, who else could it be?
"Zha Wenbin shouted in that direction: Leng girl, is it you? Where are you all?"
"Im over here, Wenbin! You have to find a way to come and rescue me! Uncle Wang is almost gone!" Another voice came, almost crying this time. He listened carefully again in that direction and finally saw a rock crevice on the opposite cliff face. In the crevice, someone was waving a white piece of clothing. With one glance, Cha Wenbin recognized it - wasnt that Old Wangs clothes?!
At last, he found someone. He put on his shoes while shouting: "Dont worry, dont move, Im coming over!" Cha Wenbin took a look and saw that there was a small pond in the middle of the path, so he had to take off his shoes again. Just as he was about to get into the water, the girl on the other side shouted: "Wenbin brother, dont go into the water, theres something in it!"
Is there something? Zha Wenbin shone the flashlight into the water, and he also took a breath of cool air. The depth of this pool is estimated to be about 4 or 5 meters deep, with very good water quality, clear to the bottom under the light. However, whats at the bottom isnt the sand and rocks we usually see in pools, but rather layer upon layer of white bones, covering an area roughly half the size of a football field. As Zha Wenbin moved the light along, the ripples on the water made those white bones sway back and forth as well. It was impossible to count just how many there were - from afar it was just a patch of whiteness, but up close you could see clearly: they were all human bones!
As the light swept by, he also found something else. In the middle of this pool, there was a large reef about five square meters in size, with a bronze coffin on top. There were five huge chains hanging down from the top of the dark river, connecting the four corners and the center. Upon closer inspection, there were two thinner chains tied to the top of the coffin, straight down into the water. The coffin was covered with small snails, along with those chains, crawling all the way to the very top, densely packed, exuding a nauseating aura. Was it because of these coffins and bones that she told him not to go into the water? How did she discover this?
Just as he was about to ask a question, suddenly the water surface began to emit one or two green floating points, more and more, gathering together. Gradually, these green dots started to move towards the middle of the coffin, and soon the entire coffin was covered with green, turning the originally death-filled bronze coffin into a piece of pure green, like a huge green jade stone. This inexplicable scene stunned him as well. These green things were none other than "phosphorus fire", also known as "ghost fire" in rural areas. According to modern science, this is because human bones contain phosphorus, which reacts with water or alkali to produce phosphine, a flammable gas that can self-ignite. This substance is light in weight and will move when blown by the wind, making it seem like its following you when you walk. Looking back, its quite frightening. The most common place to find this phenomenon is in graveyards, so although it may not be dangerous, its definitely not a good omen in Zhang Wenbins eyes. Places like this are usually filled with yin energy and are the easiest places for those things to nest.
Looking at this "ghost fire" still gathering, it seems that none of them have any intention of dispersing. The two people on the other side are still uncertain whether they are alive or dead. This is an emergency! Taking a deep breath, Ill take the initiative and strike first, regardless of whether there are any lonely ghosts or wild demons here. If there really is something, staying in this haunted place, its probably not a good master. Looking at these piles of white bones, today Ill take the opportunity to give you all a chance to ascend to the afterlife, which can also be considered as accumulating some good karma.
Everything that cant be illuminated by the sun in this deep cave is originally an extremely cold and gloomy place. With a large piece of human bones added, its probably what people imagine hell to be like. Cha Wenbin rummaged through his luggage, but the conditions here couldnt even display a decent meal or tableware. He took out two compressed biscuits, making do with them as offerings. Looking around, he found a large stone slab, propped up by two stones underneath, which served as a makeshift table. Fortunately, he had brought candles and incense paper along, so before long, he managed to set up a pre-ritual arrangement in this ancient wells underground river path. It looked quite authentic, even Cha Wenbin himself couldnt help but smile wryly at the sight.
After finishing, Wen Bin thought of the two people still over there and shouted again: "Leng girl, no matter what happens later, dont intervene or make a sound, just close your eyes and pretend you didnt see anything, did you hear?"
He responded with a sound, and only then did he feel at ease. He lit the incense, arranged the cookies, found a few stones to place on the stone slab, inserted three sticks of incense into the gap, and placed several sheets of spirit money in front of the stone slab, weighing them down with stones. He took out the eight trigrams white copper ink box, dipped it in cinnabar, used the ground as paper, and quickly drew four extremely complex talismans. These four talismans were:
Taiqing Jiuzhen Anhua Shangai Yufu, Jiaoshen Shengming Yuhua Fu, Zhenhuang Hundansuxuan Fu, Minggang Xuandazhao Damingjiuhua Fu!
All originated from the Taoist supreme law "Ba Wei Long Wen", which is said to be written by Yuanshi Tianzhen Renhuang, using the eight forms of sun, moon, mountain, river, water, fire, human and ghost, with the unique cloud seal of Taoism, introducing the three qi of Yuxu, Zixu and Qingxu, matching the combination of heaven and earth yin and yang, totaling three combinations five virtues eight gatherings meaning. Therefore, Taoism has a heavenly book, with the initial separation of yin and yang, having the meaning of three yuan five virtues eight gatherings, to form the flying sky book, later compiled into Ba Long Yun Seal, Ming Guang Zhangs theory. The heavenly book here refers to this "Ba Wei Long Wen".
"The Great Meaning of the Mysterious Gate of the Supreme Treasure" says: "The Three Primes are: 1. The Primordial Void, the High and Lofty Jade Purity, the Supreme Void; 2. The Scarlet Primordial Void, the Supreme Purple Clarity; 3. The Profound Silence, the Mysterious Penetration, the Supreme Clearness. The Five Virtues originate from Yin, Yang, and Harmony, with Lesser Yin, Greater Yin, Lesser Yang, Greater Yang, and the Harmony within Harmony being the Five Virtues. The Seal is a compilation of writings, called Cloud Writings or Cloud Seals. This is the text of the Three Primes and Eight Assemblies, the Chapter of the Eight Dragon Cloud Seals, all of which are Heavenly Scriptures." These talismans combine the texts of the Three Primes and Eight Assemblies, using the power of the three energies from Heaven and Earth and the harmony of Yin and Yang to create an unparalleled might.
Zha Wenbin wrote with a flourish, and the four large talismans took shape in an instant. At that moment, the eerie green "ghost fire" surrounding the bronze tube suddenly began to swirl and rise, dispersing in all directions! Apparently frightened, it circled in mid-air for a long time before finally falling back down, but the green color on the coffin was now noticeably duller than before.
Zha Wenbin drew out the Seven Star Sword, and with a "whooshing" sound, a cold light flashed. He raised his left hand upwards, and a chapter of the Tian Shi Dao symbol flew into the air. His right hand drew the sword up, stabbing straight at the sky. With a "brushing" sound, the treasure sword had already pierced through the symbol paper. His right palm turned over, the sword blade pointing downwards, without using much force, it was already nailed into the sandy stone beneath. His ten fingers relaxed, and the sword body seemed to be shaking back and forth excitedly, emitting a "humming" sound. Only then did several green "ghost fires" on the edge quickly float towards the center, and one of them dove into the pile.
The sword body was not stable, Cha Wenbin took out the evil bell, his right hand raised high, his wrist shook, and a crisp "ding-dong" sound echoed in this empty and dark ancient river road for a long time without dispersing. His eyes were tightly closed, and he muttered to himself:
Lonely souls waiting in crowds
Nine Mysteries and Seven Ancestors
Four Births and Six Paths
Reincarnation of life and death
Escape from hell
Gazing up at the eastern edge of the sky
The gate of salvation
Enduring hardships on earth is good for spiritual practice.
There is only heaven and no hell
Yan Jun dared not speak loudly at first sight
The young devil respectfully makes a fist and bows his head.
I pay homage to the Ox-Headed and Horse-Faced Ones
Eighteen levels of hell, carefree and at ease
Thirty-three heavens palace freely at will
Beyond the heavenly mirror
The voice of no hell
Escape from hell, forever free from suffering
Suddenly ascending to the heavens, transcending to the Pure Land
Joy is boundless, coming and going without attachment or obstruction.
The Supreme Savior of Suffering, with boundless Dharma power and vital energy, I solemnly obey the decree to search for the sound of suffering and rescue all sentient beings, as commanded by the Heavenly Venerable Taiyi!
