Tens of thousands of years ago, Kunlun's peak was a great gate that led to this place, known to the world as the "Gate of Hell".

  Kunlun's peak is always spring, with sacred grass and divine beasts everywhere. How can there be such a name?

  All this must start from that god.

  The legend has it that the Queen of the West was born from the most exquisite and wonderful energy of the Western Flower, flying as soon as she was born, in charge of the mysterious origin of the universe in the vast expanse of the sky. She divided the pure essence of the Great Way, condensed the energy to form a shape. She is the most pure and noble spirit in the world, transformed from the fantasy of the essence of heaven and earth, the first goddess of Kunlun, thus opening the mythological era of China for thousands of years.

  After the birth of the Queen Mother of the West, she opened the gates of heaven, earth and human realms with her boundless power, through which people can freely travel between the heavenly realm, the underworld and the mortal world.

  Due to the existence of this gate, for a time, people who pursued immortality and cultivated Taoism were countless, among whom there were not a few successful ones. However, more people died on the way up the mountain, because in addition to the divine beast, there are two extremely poisonous creatures: Corpse Silkworms and Snow Domain Wolf Spiders.

  Some people say that the dead silkworm and wolf spider are the guardian gods of Kunlun, while others say they are the incarnation of devils. However, more people see them as a test for the path to immortality, so year after year, people risk their lives to take this road to ascend to immortality. Therefore, once on this road, it is often irreversible, either dying in the snowy mountains or being killed by these poisonous insects, and this place has slowly become known as the "Gate of Hell", meaning the path leading to death.

  But this terrible existence did not stop people from becoming immortal, year after year, day after day, they began to flock to this divine mountain.

  It is said that the passage between heaven and earth will only appear when the sun and moon shine together in unison, at a time of three thousand years. For this reason, people all want to pursue an elixir of immortality, so as to prolong their own lives until the next three thousand years.

  Alas, all mortal beings have but one death; even Peng Zu, that great immortal, lived only eight hundred years, how could he possibly pass the barrier of three thousand years?

  The Queen Mother of the West saw that the seeker of immortality was sincere, and she couldn't bear to disappoint him, so she came up with the story of the peach of immortality. Her peaches bloom three thousand flowers at a time, one of which will ripen into fruit every year. After the fruit is picked, it takes another three thousand years for the next one to ripen.

  In other words, this immortal peach tree bears one fruit every year, and whoever eats it can extend their lifespan by 3,000 years to wait for the time when the great gate opens.

  People of the world all worship Xi Wangmu as the True Sovereign of the Nine Heavens to obtain this immortal fruit. In heaven and on earth, in the three realms and ten directions, all people who ascend to immortality and attain the Tao are subordinate to her. The immortals have nine ranks: 1) True Sovereign of the Nine Heavens, 2) True Sovereign of the Three Heavens, 3) Supreme True Man, 4) Flying Heaven True Man, 5) Spiritual Immortal, 6) True Man, 7) Spiritual Man, 8) Flying Immortal, and 9) Immortal. At first, when ascending to immortality and attaining the Tao, one must "first see the Golden Mother, then pay respects to the Wooden Father", only after that can one ascend to the Nine Heavens, enter the Temple of the Three Pure Ancestors, and worship the Supreme One while contemplating the Original Beginning.

  From then on, the Queen Mother of the West became the leader of the multitude of ways. Hence in the early Han dynasty there was a nursery rhyme that went: "Wearing blue clothes, entering the heavenly gate, bowing to the Golden Mother, and paying respects to the Wooden Father."

  This is the Wood Public, also known as the Eastern King Gong, who lives in the vast wilderness of the East Pole. The Eastern King Gong wears a three-dimensional crown and wears nine-colored cloud clothes, also known as the Jade Emperor. He is the Jade Emperor in later human mythology, but from the nursery rhyme, it can be seen that one must first worship the Western Queen Mother and then worship the Eastern King Gong, which explains why the Western Queen Mother is above the Jade Emperor. In fact, this is because she holds the passage to immortality between heaven and earth and the peach tree that can extend life for 3,000 years.

  With the gods, there will be their guardians. Thus, an ancient nation was born, it is the Qiang people. Every Qiang tribal chief, who is also their king, has a special mark on his body, which is the totem of Yinglong, another guardian god of Mount Kunlun. In a sense, this tribal chief is the incarnation of Yinglong, with noble dragon blood flowing in his veins.

  The Qiang people have been keeping a promise for generations, guarding this sacred mountain, until the outside world gave rise to another nation: the Han!

  About five thousand years ago, there was a Han Chinese who came to the top of Kunlun in pursuit of myth. He found that the Western Queen Mother was just a legend and did not actually exist as a goddess. Instead, he discovered an ancient tribe living on the mountain, older than the Qiang people, with a female leader. They inhabited this land between heaven and earth, where the dragon's pulse originated, and lived and multiplied here. He also found a strange phenomenon: when he arrived, time seemed to stand still, so the people here would not age. The flowers bloomed for a thousand years before wilting, took another thousand years to bear fruit, and yet another thousand years to ripen.

  This is a completely isolated world from the outside world. He calls it "Lost World", but he discovered the secret of the origin of myths.

  There is a lake here, and in the center of the lake stands a gigantic statue of a goddess. The goddess is carved so vividly that it seems to come alive. Every morning, people here worship this statue, and what surprises him even more is that the goddess's hands are raised upwards, one holding something resembling the sun and the other holding something resembling the moon.

  The people here are very hospitable, they welcome this Han person from the Central Plains, thinking that he is also a devout cultivator like themselves.

  There were too many people who came to practice immortality here, and over time, a large number of people gathered. With more people, a social system was born. They followed the myth of the Western Queen Mother, so the people of this tribe revered women as their leader and called her the incarnation of the Western Queen Mother.

  They told him that this place was good, and in the lake there was a golden three-legged toad, which fed on those dead silkworms and wolf spiders. They said that from here you could reach two other worlds.

  If you want to see your deceased loved ones, you can jump into this lake on a moonlit night and you will arrive in the underworld. If you want to go to another divine realm, then jump into the lake at noon and you will arrive in heaven.

  They call this lake Yaochi, and the people here found that the other two realms were far less comfortable than this one, so fewer and fewer people wanted to leave. Moreover, in order to jump into this lake, you need to sacrifice a dragon's blood, they said that the dragon had made great contributions in the war of chasing deer, but it became arrogant and committed a serious mistake, as punishment, the goddess locked it up in a well with chains.

  It is said that the mistake was because Yinglong transformed into a human and married a woman from the foot of the mountain, which was not allowed. He immediately received punishment, but the woman had already become pregnant. The child born later became their clan leader.

  Later, for some unknown reason, possibly because he was afraid that someone would come to take his dragon blood, this young clan leader was taken away from Kunlun and went to a very far place. Now, in order to enter or leave the Three Realms, the only way is to go down to the well and retrieve the dragon blood of Yinglong.

  There were also a few people who successfully obtained dragon blood, and even more people who never returned after entering the well.

  This Han person ultimately betrayed their trust in him, he knew that apart from the dragon's blood, this day and month double wheel was another indispensable condition, so he planned to take the day and month double wheel out to find the only dragon tribe bloodline in the world of humans, he wanted to create a myth that belonged to him.

  So he waited, waiting for the ripening of the immortal peach that year.

  Finally, he waited until then, he didn't follow the rules here, the distribution of immortal peaches was originally decided by the Queen Mother of the West, he took a more direct approach: stealing.

  He succeeded in stealing the peaches of immortality and also stole the sun and moon wheels. Before leaving, he found a small tadpole in the lake and took it away as well.

  Without the illumination of the sun and moon, the immortal peach would not continue to bear fruit. As a result, time stood still, and the flowers of the immortal peach bloomed but could not bear fruit. The sun and moon suspended in mid-air no longer rose in the east and set in the west, only alternating in place.

  Who created the Sun and Moon Double Wheels is unknown, in short, at that time, no one could create such a wonderful instrument, it seems to be bronze but not bronze, its material has been a mystery until now.

  Slowly, this person discovered that the Qiang tribe's witchcraft contained infinite divine techniques. Relying solely on this ability, he found that he could mobilize the power of nature. From this ancient Qiang tribe witchcraft and the dual wheels of the sun and moon, he grasped the embryonic form of the Tao, which contained an enormous amount of power. Gradually, he discovered that he could control his three souls, but it seemed like something was still missing. The great priest of that generation said that a part of this witchcraft had been taken away by another group of people, so it was incomplete.

  This person is a genius, and slowly, he discovered that there seem to be two ways of cultivation. Since the three souls of humans are in heaven, earth, and oneself, he wondered what would happen if one person practiced three methods and each of the three souls practiced three methods independently?

  So he decided to find another person, but he didn't trust anyone, and then he made a decision: to recreate himself!

  He didn't have this ability, but someone did. At that time, two thousand years had already passed, and he still had a thousand years of life left. At that time, another myth began to rise: Mount Shu!
