Once there was a fairy kingdom that was ruled by a fair and good queen. Then on one unfortunate day the queen fell very ill. All the subjects were in sorrow over their beloved queen’s sickness. The worst part was that the queen had no children to succeed her, so the queen’s wicked brother would come into power. Where the queen was good and loved her people, her brother was vain and selfish; he thought of only himself in every decision he made. There was a shred of hope, in the queen’s will she had proclaimed a contest for her successor. Whoever could bring her the rare wing feather from the sacred raven that lived on the highest mountain just outside the kingdom. This was the most difficult task in the world, flying to such a height would freeze and snap a fairy’s wings. There was a tale of a brave fairy who had fire for wings and could accomplish the tasks with no risk. This fairy however was a recluce and didn’t like people very much. Still, the quest was made to search for this fire fairy to save them.
