The Cubi are organized into a loose, yet somehow stringent, social structure. This is rgely due to their awkward male to female ratio. For every male born (Incubus), there are ten females (Succubus); an interesting quirk with their reproductive qualities. The men amongst them are known and well recorded to have unique magical gifts, one that matches their female counterparts well.

  Incubi have a near bottomless reserve of magic they can draw from at their whim dependent on how many women they share sexual congress with. In other words, the size of their harems directly contributes to their magical strength. Another thing that must be noted is that the stronger the incubi becomes, the weaker his harem, in terms of magical potential, as he draws from their power. This can be averted should his harem increase in size, and should his succubi actively refuel their mana through sexual congress with others. It is not uncommon for incubi to accept females from other species into their harems as well, and they too shall find their magical potential leeched gradually by their seductive husband. Sadly, this often means that non-succubi members tend to find themselves drained of magical energy over time.

  Succubi are almost always considered beautiful when compared to humans, their affinity for magic always in flux. Their magical strength wanes over time, but it also grows while consuming the semen of male partners. And, unlike their male counterparts, their mana isn’t dependent on the number of sexual partners, but can be recharged if they keep a steady diet of male procreating materials. Ingesting it orally is often good enough, but receiving it vaginally greatly rejuvenates their physical and magical well being, especially when there is a risk of pregnancy.

  In other words, incubi rey on their harems to constantly provide him with a steady influx of power, and they come to dominate their female counterparts during this process. Succubi receive mana by consuming the male semen of other partners so they can donate that power back to their incubi master. Incubi don’t seem to have a limit to how much power they can attain, meaning incubi with rger harems tend to be quite powerful in their own right, while there is a limit to how much power an individual succubi can have at any one time.

  Both incubi and succubi also possess a sensitive sixth sense; they can easily feel the darkest temptations of others nearby, especially other species who they deem as lesser. This can help them survive in hostile environments by alerting them to danger and guiding them to the right person who they can manipute. Succubi seem to have a stronger sense for this than their male counterparts, as they are more reliant on using this ability.

  Succubi often spend their lifetimes nurturing their magical talents, encouraging their growth, and will eventually find themselves in a harem. This is assuming they do not seek retionships elsewhere. Once powerful enough, Succubi are known for developing their ‘maiden’s kiss’, a powerful magical stigma that can be given to their chosen lover. Once given, the pair develop a strong magical and sensual connection to one another, and are able to share in each other’s pleasures even from great distances apart. Typically, this maidens kiss can only be given once, however, in rare circumstances, a succubi might be able to share a bond between two or even three lovers.

  Incubi search for proper females as soon as they come of age, and it isn’t uncommon for marriages to be contracted by their fathers to help them gather mates. Given the small number of males born, they are prized and sought after by their female counterparts. The rgest incubi harems establish city wide renown, putting them much higher in the social hierarchy than other harems.

  With each succubus that joins an incubus’ harem, the maidens kiss is shared, giving the incubus an extension of power, one they can use to constantly consume power from numerous wives. The act of delivering their maiden’s kiss is an act of almost religious significance, the ultimate sign of bondage, submission, and loyalty. Sometimes, it even is a sign of devotion, especially when a maidens kiss is given to someone belonging to another species.

  Because of their scivious nature, many have come to assume that succubi care little for their offspring, but I can assure you that this is absolutely not the case. After spending some time studying their habits, ways of life, and even spending time in many of their homes, I was surprised to find the incredible affection they have for one another. While their family structure might seem a bit risqué to humans, their child rearing instincts are eerily simir to our own.

  Succubi love children and seek to have them almost as much as Lamia. However, the average succubus often spends much of their early lives on their own. It isn’t uncommon for females to seek out a male incubi, or a harem, when they reach their thirties, spending their twenties exploring their options. Once having children, they dedicate themselves to the household, and are fiercely protective of their offspring, raising them to early adulthood until they are ready to venture out on their own. Even after the children have grown, their families remain in close contact and offer vish celebrations during times of marriage.

  While harems are the norm, it isn’t uncommon for single marriages to be had, especially if there is a genuine love connection; such is the stuff of fairy tales amongst Cubi society, however, being that males depend on their magic, this often means that incubi with single wives will never reach the same level of power, affinity, or social status as their fellow counterparts. Some Incubi following the teaching of Rinken, a new goddess that has only recently been given prominence, uphold the value of having a single wife, but that doesn’t always stop them from having a harem of concubines alongside their chosen bride.

  It is also fairly common for succubi to marry or pursue long sting retionships with other species, especially if they reject the social norms of their own kind. Often seen as rebellious, it has lead to hundreds, maybe thousands, of mixed births. Incubi have also been known to do this, but often in even rarer circumstances, and at great risk to their own standing.

  As we have seen with mixed-bred children, in 90% of circumstances the offspring will inherit the qualities of the mother. Those born from succubi mothers will almost always inherit most of their physical and magical characteristics, rgely becoming full fledged cubi themselves, although it isn’t uncommon for them to inherit some of their fathers superficial traits. There are some instances of humans being born from succubi as well, with an altered magical signature. More than one human can trace their lineage to a succubi or incubi — sometimes recent, sometimes from several generations ago, and this is especially common among elvish society, whose numbers were in dire need of replenishing immediately after stormfall.

  As for the Cubi lifestyle, they are polytheistic, believing in a wide assortment of gods and goddesses. While some upholds the beliefs of the Majari and give them respect, there is a wide assortment of other beliefs amongst their society. While their sexual conduct has led many to believe them openly promiscuous, in truth, I’ve found them to be highly individualistic and prone to secrecy around others they don’t trust. Rare is the succubi you’ll meet that’s open and honest about themselves, instead presenting a false persona to gather what energy they need before moving on.

  It should be crified that indulging the pleasures of a succubus does not cause any long-term side effects among humans or other species. In fact, physiologically speaking, it has provided a much needed source of relief in these dark times.

  The Cubi have offered much to our society, providing a necessary outlet to an otherwise stressful world. Some would argue, we would’ve devolved into anarchy and violence long ago had it not been for their comforting presence.

  Currently the Cubi primarily reside in two districts in Voxsturm.

  The Daemienne District is the rger, and it can be found in the northern half of our city. While many highways traverse its high-rises, millions of Cubi live amongst the megabuildings. Cubi are packed in vast habitation centers, and while there is an abundance of brothels, and other forms of entertainment, there is also a fairly high amount of crime, and one must be aware of a strong synthesized drug commonly sold in the streets.

  The male incubi popution has grown well here, allowing for less of a dramatic survivalist urge to reproduce. After years of mixed breeding, there has also been an interesting mutation studied among the incubi popution, as it appears their need for rge harems has waned over the past century, and yet their magical stability has improved. The current average size of incubi harems is 4-6 succubi, far smaller than that of pre-storm records of between 12 - 30. These are of course documented family sizes.

  Succubi have also shown a continued interest in outside cultures, particurly favoring mian courtship rites and wolfkin breeding ceremonies. There is also a strong counter-culture of succubi seeking human bonding with exclusive partners.

  While the living conditions in Daemienne remain below the medium income, and just below the average standards for sustainable growth, the district remains hopeful that it could eventually rise and become more prosperous. The main hurdle to cross is the districts political leadership and their corruption amongst numerous street gangs. The Exquisite Brides, the Court of Sensuous Delights, and the Lurid Daughters remain powerful crime organizations competing for turf, while the leading authorities struggle to gather the necessary manpower and political capital to suppress them.

  As for Eshirith, my efforts to study that society have failed. I’m truly ashamed, for the study of a thriving Cubi society separated from the general cities influence would be absolutely fascinating to observe! Needless to say, I am fully committed to eventually documenting this complex and isoted region of our civilization, perhaps once tensions settle.

  As I conclude this review, I cannot help but want to study further, and thus I hereby petition the universities council for further funds.
