Gazef was not expecting to find the vilge he was riding to… well be intact, he was hoping and praying, but what he found when he got there was rather strange. There was a rather tall monster standing in the middle of the vilge in fact.
It was tall, holding a tower shield in one hand, and a rather massive fmberge in the other. Its visage was that of the undead, a rotted and grotesque corpse wearing the helm. bck spikes covered the things armor and red vanes covered the thing.
When he was about to call out to his men to get ready to fell such a beast, he heard someone call out to him that he hadn’t noticed. It was a man wearing rather ornate robes and a strange mask. Said mask was red with blue crystals for eyes.
He gave off a strange and uncannily foreboding air. It was like he was death itself. He then looked to the man’s side and his breath caught in his throat. Now, as a soldier and as the chief warrior of the re-Estize kingdom, he had seen many beautiful women in his life, but never one of this particur looks.
The woman in question had an ever-so-light tan on her skin. On her left eye was a patch, while her other was a gorgeous green. He was nearly smitten with her when he realized where he was.
But he still gnced at her as she made eye-contact with him, and he nearly lost his breath again. It was all rather strange for this to him. As he had seen many women before. He was being very unprofessional.
Beside the fetching woman was another person. She wore a rather brutish looking suit of pte. In fact, it was kind of ugly in his opinion, but that seemed to be just him. And he was about to introduce himself when he noticed a person standing in front of the unpleasant feeling man.
He seemed to be the only normal person in the vicinity, so he decided that this person was probably the vilge chief, so he then looked at him and introduced himself to him. It was much easier to speak when he wasn’t looking at the young woman.
“Hello, I am the chief warrior of the Re-Estize Kingdom, Gazef Stronoff. I don’t believe I heard what you said,” he told him.
The older man looked at him and smiled. It was obvious that he was happy to see the famous chief warrior and his men here. He then gestured to himself and spoke in an old and tired voice. It was obvious again that he had had a tiring day.
“I am the chief of this vilge and these people,” he gestured over to the three people behind him, “are our saviors. this one is…”
He was stopped by the tall ominous man wearing the mask. He put a hand on the chief’s shoulder and told him to stop. Gazef fond it slightly rude but held his tongue.
“I am a magic castor, Ainz Ooal Gown. I was simply traveling through this forest and happed to hear some commotion, I then came across some armored knights terrorizing this vilge and came to their rescue,” he said, but the woman at his side huffed a little.
Gazef nodded his head at him until the woman said something rather strange. It took him a moment to tune into what she was actually saying instead of just listening to her voice as if it were a beautiful song.
“But I was the one to help you out actually finding the vilge. We haven’t been to this area in 25 years, and even then, we didn’t stay here for more than a minute,” she said.
The Ainz looked at the woman and sighed, they seemingly then fell into what one could call a friend’s quarrel. It took the other woman patting them on the shoulders to stop. After they had finished their comedy routine, the beautiful woman fake coughed into her hand and then introduced herself.
“My name is Miss Walker. I am Ainz’s traveling companion. And this is…” she gestured to her other traveling companion after finishing her introduction.
“My name is Ablutio, a pleasure to make your acquaintance,” she chanted.
He nodded at them in sequence and then descended from his steed. He looked over to his other soldiers and nodded his head at them, telling them to also get off of their mounts. They did so and he turned back to the trio and thanked them.
“I must thank you all, it was my duty to protect this vilge and yet I was nearly too te. I must offer my sincerest apologies to you, vilge chief,” he said turning to the vilge chief bowing his head.
“It is all right sir Stronoff. It is a good thing that these fine travelers came by when they did,” he retorted back in good faith.
Gazef then turned to the trio and bowed his head to them. He then spoke with a deep sorrow that seemed to stem from the fact that they were the ones to save the vilgers and not him, as it was his duty. He took a deep breath and said out loud.
“I do not know how to thank you enough. Please, if there is anything that could help me help the kingdom pay you back for helping its people, say it,” he told them aloud.
Aeskell looked over to Ainz and he looked to her in turn. It seemed like that they had an idea on what they wanted to ask in recompense for this deed that they had done. Aeskell then turned to the chief warrior and spoke to him.
“Of course, we have something mind right now actually. We were going to simply ask vilge chief all these questions, but now that I’m thinking on it he probably wouldn’t be able to tell us the answers to these questions,” she said.
“Yes,” Ainz picked up the tempo of the conversation from Aeskell, “But can we talk about this in the chief dono’s abode?” he inquired.
The vilge chief nodded at this and began to walk over to his house so as to get everyone out of the building so they could talk in privacy. It was then that Aeskell noticed something in the distance.
She didn’t even have to strain her eyes to see them at the top of it. they spaced themselves out at an even pace around the perimeter of the vilge. Each one had an archangel fme behind them.
What was strange was the man with a principality observation behind him. On his face was a shit eating grin, as if the ability to summon such an angel was a blessing in and of itself.
“Ainz, there’s a weird guy on the hill’s top that seems like he wants to murder everyone in this vilge,” she stated as a matter of fact while looking at said man.
“Hm?” was all he said in response.
“Yeah, he doesn’t look that strong though. And he’s got a shit eating grin on his face like he’s god’s gift to the earth,” she then looked to Gazef.
“It seems since they probably don’t know about the power we hold, and the fact there is now one else of all that importance in this vilge, no offence vilge chief,” she said all in one breath.
He nodded his head in understanding, and she continued.
“Since the title of chief warrior seems rather special, I’m assuming your seen as like a rather important figure,” she turned to the man on the hill, “putting the pieces together that those men that attacked the vilge were actually just magic casters in discuses, I can safely assume that they are here for you…” she finally finished after over expining the whole thing.
“So it would seem. I cannot thank you enough for helping save this vilge. But I must ask you another favor,” he looked to Ainz, “would you help me save this vilge once more?”
“No, I won’t. But I will do this,” he said while giving Gaxef a strange little wooden figure.
“What is this,” he asked with a quizzical look.
“Just something to remember me by,” he told him. “But I will say this, I swear on my name as Ainz Ooal Gown that no harm will befall these vilgers,” he said with finality.
