Slowly lifting my head from my pillow, I looked around my room. Rather, it was our room. As I scanned the room, I saw my roommates scattered across it. Looking at the bed across from mine, I saw Lidia and Alice passed out. As for Jenna, she was curled up under the table, using our rug as a bnket. Why? She has a bed. We all have beds... Last night was wild…

Several hours ago...

Sitting on the couch, the four of us were eating dinner. The room, although big, was a bit cramped for four people. Had I been a noble, then I would have a single roommate instead of three. However, it’s not like any of us were unused to sharing a room with anyone. Back at home, I shared a room with my brother. I wonder how he’s doing? Eating some of the bread which we brought from the cafeteria, I looked at Alice as she ughed.
“Man, this pce isn’t what I expected at all!!” Alice said.
“Yeah!” Lidia said. “I thought for sure the nobles were going to bully me!”
“They probably think it would be a waste of time to even bother.” Jenna said.
“Either way, I’m fine with it!” Lidia ughed.
“Yeah, I had a close call myself.” I added.
“Let’s hope things keep going smoothly for us.” Alice said.
“Definitely!” Lidia strongly nodded.
Smiling, Jenna looked at the ceiling. “I can’t wait to use magic.”
“I know right!” I said.
“That’s going to be so cool!” Alice said. “Throwing out spells left and right!”
“I want to learn the ‘Clean’ spell.” I said.
“I know, right.” Lidia said.
“Yeah.” Alice said. “Also, I can’t wait until we can use the mechs!”
“Yea-” I paused. “Mechs?”
“Mechs?” Lidia looked at Alice.
“Yeah, you know. Those giant robot suit things.” Alice said.
“Robot?” Jenna asked, confused.
“Yeah…” Alice thought. “You know the-”
“Wait wait wait.” I held up my hand. “You’re from Earth?”
“She’s from Earth?” Jenna asked. “I’m from Earth!”
“Wait no!” Lidia said. “I’m from Earth!”
“Are you from- Are we all from Earth!?” I questioned.
“You’re from Earth!?” Lidia pointed at all of us.
“What the hell!?” Alice said. “Did we all get sucked into the same game!?”
“What do you mean sucked into the game!?” Jenna said. “I got hit by a truck!”
“A truck!?” Lidia asked. “I got struck by lightning!”
“Oh crap, that's rad!” Alice said. “I just got pulled into my T.V.!”
“Okay hang on!” I stood up, silencing everyone, before pointing at Alice. “What did you mean by ‘Mechs’?”
“What- Do you not know what a mech is?” She asked.
“I know what a mech is!” I said. “There are no mechs here! It’s a swords and magic sort of world!”
“What are you talking about? Ever since the third game, the series always had mechs.” She said.
“What do you mean the third game?” Lidia asked. “There’s only two.”
“No there isn’t! There's only one!” Jenna said.
“And the DLC.” I pointed out.
“There’s DLC!?” Jenna asked.
“I got sucked into the fourteenth game.” Alice said.
“““There’s fourteen!?””” We shouted.
“Well- no, there's like twenty. Wait, are we counting the spinoffs?” Alice asked.
“They’re milking the series dry!” Jenna said.
“Tell me about it.” Alice sighed. “Don’t even get me started on the movies.”
“They made movies!?” Lidia asked.
“Okay, hang on.” I said. “So, just to make sure, we are in the first game, right?”
“Yeah, we should be.” Lidia said. “We got the Empire and twin Regents.”
“As far as I can tell, we’re in the first and ONLY game.” Jenna said, stressing that one part.
“Then why the hell am I here!?” Alice asked. “I got sucked in right as I started the final battle of the Third Sky War!”
“What the hell is a ‘Sky War’ and why were there three of them?” Lidia asked.
“That’s because of all the airship battles around the floating isnd.” Alice said.
“Okay, you stop talking.” I said. “We are in the first game. None of that matters. What we need to worry about is the Demon Lord who is going to be revived.”
“Can’t we just leave it to the Magical girl?” Jenna asked.
“Do you think she’s reincarnated as well?” Lidia asked.
“Wouldn't be surprised.” I sighed.
“I don’t know if she is.” Alice said. “As far as I know, the first few games were pretty wacky.”
“How many people are reincarnated anyways?” Jenna asked.
“It’s us four as well as the twin Regents.” I said.
“Oh, them too?” Lidia asked.
“If they are, this should be pretty easy.” Jenna nodded.
“Okay, before you go on any further, I just want to tell you this right now, but I know nothing about the first few games.” Alice said. “They were like six years old by the time I got into the series.”
“Okay, obviously something weird is going on. For all I know, there was only one game when I ended up here. When did you get sucked into the game?” I asked. “For starters, what year was it?”
“I think it was like 2107.” Alice said.
“““What?””” We asked.
“What?” She asked.
““You’re from the future?”” Lidia and I asked.
“You’re from the past?” Jenna asked.
“““Huh?””” We looked at each other.
“Um… I died in 1033…” Lidia said.
“““What?””” We looked at her.
“Um… Me and the Regents died in 2008.” I said.
“I died in 2547.” Jenna said.
““““…”””” We looked at each other in silence.
What the hell?

Suppressing a yawn, I exited the carriage. Maybe I went a bit overboard as a magical girl… Lately, since I’ve dealt with most of the demons in The Empire, I’ve been flying to neighboring kingdoms to do the same. As a magical girl, I should go where I’m needed and spread hope throughout the world! That being said, I am very tired.
Being sure that I had my disguise, I walked along the path into school. I may have missed the first week, but I’m back for week two! Now with enchanted tools! With them, I can participate in magical csses without magic! What? Why didn’t I just use my magical girl powers? That’s because they are a gift from the goddess to fight evil, not do school work. Truthfully I’m sure she would let me, but I don’t want to waste my powers at school when I need them to fight demons. Especially with the distances that I have to fly.
Not only that, but there is a problem with my magical girl powers… They’re too strong. It seems that every time I transform, any magical item I have on me gets overloaded and destroyed. So, my magical bag with my allowance? All gone. Just like that. Luckily I didn’t have all my money on me, but still, losing money doesn't feel good. I’ve already told Uncle Aaron, so hopefully he comes up with a solution to this magic overload soon.
Thinking about that as I walked down the path, I heard my name being called out. Turning, I saw Charlotte coming towards me. She seems to be wearing a worried smile and waving to me. Did something happen?
“Charlotte. Good morning.” I smiled.
“Evelyn, are you okay?” She asked worriedly. “I heard you were out for the whole week. You aren’t feeling ill, are you? You look tired, are you okay?”
“Thank you for your concern, but I’m fine. I’m just a bit tired.” I said. “As for st week, it seems the journey from the territory took more out of me than I expected.”
“You must take care of yourself!” She pouted. “If you’re feeling under the weather, you mustn't push yourself.”
I couldn’t help but smile at her concern. She’s a good girl. I should try not to worry her.
“I’ll take care of myself, I promise.” I said.
“…” She narrowed her eyes and looked at me for a long moment, before sighing. “Please do.”
“I will, I will.” I smiled.
After a moment, we shared a ugh and walked down the path towards school. In the free time before css, she told me all about her first week of school.
“I think I’m quite lucky myself that my magic is particurly powerful.” She said. “My brother is going to inherit the family title, so I’m thinking about joining the Magic Research Society when I’m older.”
“You certainly are quite clever, I wouldn’t be surprised if you did.” I said.
“Speaking of magic, have you been tested?” She asked.
“Yes I have.” I gave a troubled smile.
Luckily Uncle Aaron has prepared me for this type of question.
“Truth be told, my magic isn’t particurly strong.” I said in a quiet voice. “Uncle said that my time in the Dark Woods seems to have affected me more than anyone had realized.”
“Oh my!” She covered her mouth.
“In all honesty, I probably shouldn’t even be here.” I said.
To be honest, I’m not sure if I am lying or not. Aside from my magical girl powers, did I have the ability to use magic? Well, I have evidence for and against it. One is that the testing said that I had none. On the other, I was able to create fire using the spark rocks- rather the magical ore in the forest. Not only was it in the forest, but 38 brought me some magical ore to see if I could still activate it, and I could. So, yes I do have the ability to use magic, but in the same way someone on Earth can use magic by rubbing some sticks together to create fire. Well, it’s not exactly the same but you get my point. I can use tools to use magic and raw magical ore, but I can't use magic by itself.
“Don’t say that!” She quietly said. “Even if it’s a little you can still use magic. Some people just take some time to build up their power.”
“Yeah…” I smiled at her. If only I could tell her about my magical girl powers, but Uncle told me to keep it a secret.
“I know!” She said. “There are plenty of exercises to build up your magic. I’ll look for some techniques for you to practice at home!”
“Thanks.” Seeing her determination in wanting to help me, I couldn’t help but give her an honest smile.
I have such a good friend.

Walking towards one of the many fruit trees, after long talk with the others, I saw the one girl I had explicitly told to avoid. The Viliness Evelyn Eytell. Using my talent of becoming unnoticed by others, I faded into the crowd of students arriving. I really don’t want to be noticed by her so let’s wait to slip by unnoticed.
“Speaking of magic, have you been tested?” The girl next to Evelyn asked.
Ah! That’s right! She went home early so we never got to learn what her magic was. Now is the perfect time to figure it out! Aside from Holy magic, which runs in her family, what else can she use? Forgetting my previous pns, I listened carefully and followed just behind the two.
“Truth be told, my magic isn’t particurly strong.” Evelyn said in a quiet voice. “Uncle said that my time in the Dark Woods seems to have affected me more than anyone had realized.”
My god! She’s the jealous viliness type! No wonder she bullies the saint! Or rather saints. How many saints are there anyway? Whatever, now that I know her motivation, we can somewhat anticipate her movements. Okay, so we should probably be limiting our powers at school.
…
Now that I think of it, isn’t that cool as hell? Everyone will look at us and think, “Oh they aren’t that strong, I can take them.” And then BAM! Hit them with our full power and we’ll be like, “Ha ha you fool! That was only a fraction of our true power!” and they’ll be like, “Oh fuck, they got us!” And we’ll beat them up! Yeah that’s cool. I’m going to go tell the girls! Excitedly pulling away, I headed to find my roommates to tell them my pn.
