With many of the teachers worried about my well-being, I took my csses easy. It wasn’t just the physical and magical csses, but all of my csses. I don't like how different my treatment is from everyone else, but there's not much I can do about it. Even when I try telling them not to worry, I still am treated differently. To be honest, it’s a bit hard to make friends like this. Everyone seems to be keeping their distance, especially the Regents. I haven’t had the opportunity to talk to them yet, so I can’t exactly know how they view me, but given how Regent Lloyd looks at me, it isn’t favorable. Once more, when it comes time to socialize, I sit in the back of the css and read my book.
…
Csses pass by without much happening. The most eventful csses are the magic csses, but given my “health issues” even those are uneventful. Boring and uneventful is the best way to describe my school life. Let’s change things up a bit. During lunch one day, I decided to go for a walk. Taking a route I normally skip over, I pass by some of the many fruit trees in school. Ah? There seems to be some girls climbing this one? It’s not necessarily against school rules, but it’s dangerous so let's go and see if they need any help.
“Um, excuse me…” I called out.
“Ah!?” One of the girls, cried out.
Pausing, I looked at them. I hadn’t realized it, but these are all people who I had helped as a magical girl. Nissia, who I saved first from the kidnapper, one who I saved from a kidnapper who was trying to take her to some mine. Another who was also almost kidnapped by some bandits, and the st who was… Again also almost kidnapped… Wow, these girls really seem like they are going to get into trouble. I need to make sure to keep an eye on them.
“W-what do you want!?” The girl who was almost taken to a mine asked.
Why do they seem so scared of me?
“Um… Climbing the tree is dangerous. I’m sure you can borrow a dder if you need one.” I told them. “Or simply as a staff member to get some for you…”
“Y-yeah, right…” Nissia said, clinging onto the tree.
I don’t think that they believe me. Well, I better go so they aren’t distracted by me and fall.
“Then I’ll be leaving.” I bowed to them and took my leave as they watched me cautiously.
I’ll try and keep my distance from those four. They’re commoners, so they may not be used to dealing with nobles. Hopefully they get used to it soon, since most of the students here are nobles after all.
…
With school over, I was in my room Uncle arranged for me in the residence. Unlike most residences in the capital, this one didn’t have many servants in it. I’m not sure how many know about my activities as a magical girl, but I’m sure some do. Regardless, I tell them that I’ll be in my room and don’t want to be disturbed. After transforming into Melody, I turned invisible and headed out into the city to help where I could. Firstly, let’s check in on those girls from earlier.
Flying to the school dorms, I looked through the windows until I saw one of the girls in a fist fight with Nissia. What is going on? Hmn? It seems like someone put up a sound proof barrier. Whatever, it’s not like that’ll work on me! Looking through the window, I listen carefully.

“That’s my pudding you whore!” Lidia said.
“I called dibs and you know it!” Nissia replied, blocking a punch.
““…”” Me and Alice watched in silence.
Wow… All of this for some pudding… It really is a good thing that we put up a sound barrier beforehand. So, what do we do? I looked at Alice for advice. WOW SHE’S PISSED!
“SHUT UP BOTH OF YOU!” Alice shouted, jumping into the fray.
““AH!?”” The two were quickly pummeled by Alice’s iron fists.
Ouch, that looks like it hurts. Let’s avoid angering her in the future.
“Honestly, you two are children!” Alice said.
“We’re ten!” Nissia said.
“We’re all reincarnated!” Alice said. “Like hell you’re ten!”
“Yeah but I’m still ten!” Nissia said.
“You say that like an old woman who says that she’s forever seventeen.” Lidia said.
“Oh you shut up.” She countered.
“Whatever. Just quit messing around.” Alice said. “We need to focus on beating the demon lord.”
“Just leave it to the magical girl. I don’t want to deal with that guy.” Lidia said.
“Yeah, just let her do it.” I said.
I don’t want to risk my life fighting anything, let alone a Demon Lord!
“In all honesty, she probably will.” Alice nodded. “That aside, what do we do about the viliness?”
“I mean, I’m still not sure that she is bad.” Nissia said. “Yeah she’s scary, but she hasn’t really done anything to us.”
“No, just earlier today she-” I started.
Wait? Did she actually do anything? She said that it was dangerous to climb the tree and that we could ask for a dder… Well, she did say it in a threatening manner… Did she?
“See.” Nissia said. “I think she’s just awkward or something.”
“You know, you might be right…” Alice nodded.
“Also, we are all still like ten.” Lidia said. “If we gang up on her, I’m sure we can take her out.”
“Yeah that is true.” I agreed. After all, earlier I informed them that Evelyn has weak magic.
“Huh…” Alice took a moment to think about it. “Yeah, we can just beat her up if we need to…”
“I would rather not, but it is an option.” Nissia said. “After all, she-”
Nissia paused and turned pale. Confused, I followed her gaze as it led to the window. There in the window, I froze as I saw a translucent face watching us. You know what, even if it was a normal face, it would still be scary. We are on the third floor, after all. With both me and Nissia looking out the window, Lidia and Alice joined our gazes and they too turned pale.
““““AHHHH!!!!”””” We cried out.

Alright, lesson learned. My invisibility still needs some work. Good to know. Also, these girls are reincarnated like me. Unlike me however, they don’t seem to have any special powers. They also seem to have some sort of knowledge of the Demon Lord, though they won’t have to worry about that. Uncle and the Regents have already spoken to me about fighting the Demon Lord. As soon as the Shadows or Church find him, it’s my job to bst him into oblivion! Considering all the other demons that I have beaten, he should be eas- Oops, that's a fg for my defeat. Let’s keep that one to myself. As for that “viliness” they brought up, well they can deal with that themselves. After all, they did say that they outnumbered her. Let’s hope that they don’t need to resort to violence though…
Anyway, for a while I fly the streets, looking for any crime to deal with, but find none. The streets were well lit and armed soldiers patrolled regurly. I suppose with no demons to worry about, more efforts are put into keeping the city streets safe. I guess there's nothing for me to do here… Nice! Looks like my hard work is paying off! Let’s head to another town to see if they need help.

School has been progressing like any normal school on Earth would. Aside from the fact that we all have magic, and that I need to worry about a Demon Lord in the future. But aside from that, it's a normal school. Given that it was currently lunch, I sat with Lloyd and his friends in a gazebo as we enjoyed some tea. Luckily Lloyd did most of the talking, so all I needed to do was sometimes nod or give some fttery.
…
I’m bored… Looking around the rge field that surrounded us, I saw plenty of nobles doing the same that we were doing, with a few looking for an opening to join us. There was not a commoner in sight. Despite what the teachers say, one’s status does matter here.
…
I wonder what Nissia is doing? Over the past few days, I’ve seen her with her friends. Given our surroundings, we have been unable to make contact and we can’t send letters to other dorm rooms without it becoming public knowledge. We’ll need to find a way to do that… You know, how did we meet in the game? Lloyd, obviously, doesn’t remember and if Nissia does, she’s taking her sweet time doing so. Maybe it has something to do with the viliness? Speaking of her, where is she?
Looking around the field, I saw no immediate sign of Evelyn. Looking a bit more carefully, I saw her signature long blond hair off in the distance under the shade of a tree. She seems to be in a retively small group. Unlike her rank as a Duchess, she is mostly surrounded by daughters of counts. Given the many bad rumors about her, I’m not surprised that people don’t want to associate with her. That being said, why did daughters of counts seem to be brave enough to associate with her?
In all likelihood, their parents probably told them to make connections with her. Even me and Lloyd have been told as such. “She’s a good kid.” And, “Why not spend some time with her?” the letters from home tell us. But yeah, no. Some time ago, she apparently had many servants from her house fired because she didn’t like them. The excuse she used was “security reasons” but it was obvious to tell that she just didn’t like them.
I say that, but to be honest, I’m not sure if all the rumors are true. Now, unless Evelyn is a good actor, she seems like a normal kid. She has health issues, but that’s to be expected when one stays in a cursed forest. I wonder if that affected her personality at all? Well, whatever. Let’s just stay away from her and hope for the best. Lazily taking in my surroundings, I waited for css to once more restart.

Once more returning to css, I took my seat as other students took theirs. Although we have been growing used to it, many of us couldn’t help but pause as Evelyn entered. Like always, she had a stern, emotionless face which easily separated her from others. Not only that, but she’s taller than the rest of the css making her even more intimidating. Let’s not make eye contact. She took her pce at the back of the css, as if she wanted to keep us all in her sight. Yikes, I’m scared.
Shortly after her, the twin regents entered and the atmosphere of the css got a bit lighter. The two of them managed to offset Evelyn and started conversation with those near them. So far I have not been one of those people as nobles pushed commoners away from them to try and make connections. Being a commoner myself, I didn’t want to earn anyone’s ire. Partially because of that, I have been reluctant to try and make contact with them even though we were supposed to be working together to deal with the Demon Lord. Luckily me and my roommates are all saints, so we should stand somewhat better of a chance if we stick together.
Now that I think of it, I need to find a way to tell the Twins that there are more reincarnations. How would I go about doing that? As I wondered this, Mr. Hopkins entered and css started.
…
With the sun moving through the sky, css eventually ended and we packed up our things. Before we left however, Mr. Hopkins suddenly addressed us.
“Css, there is one thing that I must warn you of.” He said. “For anyone who is in the dorms, this doesn’t concern you, however I would still like for you to listen.”
Okay, so I don’t need to worry about it. Thinking this, I put my books in my bag.
“Although the streets are safe, for anyone who commutes, please avoid going out alone or at night.” He said. “I don’t want to scare anyone but there have been reports of kidnappings.”
Hearing this, my, like many others, heads shot up. Oh-no. This is a plot point from the game, isn’t it?
