Chapter 247: I Came, I Left Again

  Chapter 247: I Came, I Left Again

  Boom!

The crimson fmes instantly engulfed dozens of patrolling trolls.

The source of the fire came from above in the sky.

A moment ago, Barnes was full of confidence, but now he was furious.

He gred at the screaming injured trolls, bloodshot eyes filled with rage, as he ruthlessly drew the executioner’s axe from his back:

"Chop off these fools' heads! The rest of you, spread out and take your positions."

  "You, climb up those trees!"

"As soon as you spot them, attack immediately!"

Watching a few trolls fall silent, Barnes turned toward the camp.

He saw only a few confused troll soldiers and had narrowly avoided receiving harsh orders from the troll priest.

Pushing down his fear, Barnes ordered his remaining soldiers to spread out and keep watch:

"Spread wide, stay alert! If we stay spread out, we won't be wiped out all at once. Whoever spots the humans, point them out immediately!"

"Once you signal, I’ll personally lead the charge!"

As crude as Barnes' method was, it was surprisingly effective.

The trolls, scattered behind trees or bushes, became many roaming eyes.

They fully utilized their numbers advantage!

Watching all this from above, Matthew couldn't help but smile:

"Good idea, but unfortunately, we don’t have to cause any damage..."

  Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

The sharp sound of arrows slicing through the air broke the night's stillness.

Barnes stared at the flimsy arrows drifting down from the sky, and terror flickered in his eyes.

He let out a shout, not even gncing at the chaotic trolls behind him, as he led his troops in a mad dash forward.

  Breathing heavily, he roared angrily:

  "Catch them! Kill them!"

But the cavalry, several hundred meters away, had already vanished under the cover of a "Silencing Spell."

Barnes charged forward in vain, staring at the fearful troll soldiers around him, and terror surged through him.

Gring into the surrounding darkness, he gritted his teeth and shouted:

"If we don’t find those humans, we’ll all face the wrath of the priest! So, fight for your lives!"

At the mention of the priest’s methods, the trolls trembled in fear.

Driven by terror, they scattered like headless flies, rushing in all directions.

Meanwhile, the chaos in the troll camp had just begun to settle.

The troll priest clenched his fist, tossing aside the withered corpse he held, and ignoring the fearful gazes of the trolls around him, he stormed back into his tent:

  "Useless scum!"

In other parts of the camp, other troll priests also vented their anger.

Over a thousand trolls spread out in a frenzy, searching for hours before finally calming down.

Old John rubbed his eyes, patted the snoring Beelzebub, and pointed upward before crawling into a tunnel.

Stretching with a yawn, Beelzebub gnced at the inspectors waking up from their nap, grinned, and pointed toward the distant troll camp:

"This time, we’re going to give the trolls a new surprise!"

The soldiers grinned, anticipating the fun, and followed Beelzebub as they snuck away.

From afar, a soldier perched on a tree waved a fg toward them.

Beelzebub led the soldiers, running toward the other side, and knocked down a sapling standing in an open area.

Soon, the sound of thump, thump, thump echoed loudly.

The deep, resonant sound carried a sense of urgency.

There was no way the trolls could keep sleeping through that!

With bloodshot eyes, Barnes' face twisted in a cruel smile as he pointed toward the source of the sound:

"Let’s go, we’ll catch those fools trying to escape!"

The other trolls, both terrified and enraged, also bared cruel smiles, filled with anger.

But just as they began to move, the sounds spread in waves, surrounding the entire troll camp!

Deafening, blood-pumping roars filled the air!

  Blood surged to their heads!

Naturally, they were excited, excited to the point of bursting!

The entire Dark Forest echoed with the noise, making it impossible for the trolls to locate the enemy. All they could do was charge madly forward under Barnes' lead.

  As expected, they found nothing.

Watching them from the sky, Matthew made sure they wouldn’t find anything.

Gncing at Yaya’s delighted expression and the chaotic troll camp below, Matthew let out a long breath.

  The results were great!

  Crack!

A heavy axe shattered the struggling goat, along with the drum beneath its hooves.

Blood spttered onto Barnes' iron armor, adding to his ferocious appearance.

But his expression was filled with fear as he stared at the tree trunk in front of him, unable to find any traces.

With a Cleaning Spell, no matter how many noses you had, you wouldn’t smell a thing!

  Only magic could defeat magic!

  Boom!

A fiery explosion erupted around Barnes.

The rolling fmes consumed several trolls nearby.

Without hesitation, Barnes grabbed a troll beside him to use as a shield, leaping downward with the momentum of the bst to avoid the next wave of fmes.

As for the unfortunate troll soldier in his grasp, it had been charred to the bone, trembling weakly.

With a sigh, Barnes snapped the troll’s neck and, ignoring the scattered soldiers around him, ran headlong into the forest ahead.

At this point, he dared not face the troll priest’s fury, so he chose to flee.

His escape pn was simple—run straight ahead.

As Matthew soared into the air with Yaya's help, he saw Barnes fleeing in panic, tightening his grip on his staff but ultimately choosing not to pursue.

Disrupting the entire troll camp was more important!

The explosions echoed through the quiet Dark Forest, plunging the already chaotic troll camp into deeper confusion.

By the time the troll priests, unable to stand it any longer, personally led their forces out to fight,

Matthew had already given the order to retreat, and everyone slipped away.

The blood-red moon hung high in the sky.

Preventing the trolls from pursuing for long.

Frustrated and furious, the troll priest raised his hand.

A wave of blood mist descended upon the kneeling troll soldiers.

After a chorus of agonizing screams, only a dozen dying remains were left!

Chewing on some beans in the distance, Matthew gnced at Yaya, who was eating enthusiastically, and smiled faintly.

One great thing about projection clones was that no matter how much they ate, they wouldn’t gain weight!

And so, the sharp screeches and occasional fireballs harassed the troll camp all night long.

The trolls unched several attacks, using dey tactics, fnking maneuvers, disguises, and feigned weaknesses.

Yet each tactic was seen through by Matthew, who led his soldiers in battling the trolls throughout the night.

As Yaya said with endless ughter:

"I came, and ha, I left again!"

"Come and catch me, you bunch of idiots!"
