Chapter 6: How To (Almost) Kill A Detector

An picked up a white flower from the dirt, throw it in his mouth and swallow it. In those moment, one can see the joy and pure bliss shown in his eyes, as if that was the tastiest thing he ever ate.

Tam who walked right by him, following behind sheepishly like a man without any destination or willpower.

"You said your css was..." An asked,

  "Detector?" Tam answered

"What a waste of a good skill..." An said, disappointed.

  "I'm... You-" Tam stuttered

  "Activate your skill." demanded An.

  "Wha?"

  "Do it."

Tam was hesitant, but ultimately followed through with the request. He focused in, took a deep breath and closed his eyes.

  "Movement Feel"

Movement Feel (F):A sense of intricate movement of all living being in the surrounding area

"Okay what do you need me to-"

  thud

Before Tam could finish his question, he found himself barely dodging An's fist, which the man put full force onto, and would've knocked Tam's nose off completely if he didn't dodge on time.

But still, it scraped through his face, damage the outer edge of the eye socket and went through his left ear which thankfully didn't really hurt.

"You didn't die, you got potential." An continued,

"But I've met at least 591 people like you. Great potential, a good skill, then they all die young because they either are too stupid or had their ego higher than their head when they can't revive themselves. I don't know why you wanted to get into the Tower of Andrea, but you should turn around and go home, young man."

"..." Tam stared at him in disbelief, for a good 10 seconds,

"What did you call this pce?"

An seemed to have been caught by surprise, he gred at Tam before turning around and walking away. But Tam was adament on getting his answers, so he stood up and tried following An.

"There's only like 50 people awakened! What do you mean by-"

  [Announcement]

A sudden loud sound echoed through their ears, as An and Tam noticed an system board appearing in front of them, this is the same thing that'd show them their skills and stats whenever they need. And occasionally, a global announcement like this where all pyers can see.

The [Floor Boss] has been discovered

  "................"

A great silence ensued, Tam didn't know what to say, and he didn't know what An was thinking about, either.

"You told me... Shreya Mishra was the highest level pyer?"

  "Y-Yes...?"

  "What level is she?"

"Last time I checked it was like 16 or something..."

"Good," An sighed, "Then whoever found the boss is going to die, even if there's 10 of them. I'll head there to grab their loot."
