Chapter 118: News About Combat Uniforms

The Heroes Sports Festival, which had been filled with energy, excitement, and tension all day, finally came to an end. But it didriumphantly—instead, the clusion was met with dissatisfa, pints, and boos from the audience.

While the spectators went home to stew over the results, the students returo their s to the day. Yet the atmosphere in Css 1-A was anything but celebratory.

Almost no one had a smile on their face, and the tension in the room alpable. The focus of the uneasy atmosphere was undoubtedly Kaminari and Todoroki, though Tetsutetsu's visible frustration also added to the weight in the air.

Still, the awkward silence was a testament to how deeply this sports festival had affected everyo left an impression that none of them would soon fet, though the feelings it stirred were far from pleasant.

The sound of the door sliding open broke the silence. In walked their homeroom teacher, Aizawa, his head still ed in bandages. His somber presenly seemed to make the mood heavier, given that he was also seen as part of the authority at U.A.

"Do you think Kaminari's punishment was unfair?" Aizawa asked softly, gng around the room as he stood at the podium.

The room remained silent. But the expressions on most students' faces made it clear—they felt it was unfair.

"The punishment was correct," Aizawa tinued firmly. "Kaminari's 'Raikiri' is indeed a move that goes beyond the limits expected of a fifteen-year-old student."

"And if All Might hadn't intervened…" His sharp eyes flickered to Todoroki, sitting quietly in the back row. "The damage to Todoroki could have been irreversible. Do you disagree?"

"No, I agree." Todoroki nodded without hesitation, his expressioral but his tone resolute. As someone who had been on the receiving end of Raikiri, he fully uood the da posed. The threat he'd felt in that moment was real.

Kaminari, sitting nearby, listeo Aizawa's reasoning and Todoroki's agreement without reag much. Deep down, he uood why the heroes had taken Raikiri so seriously.

It wasn't just the move itself, it was about the text of the world they lived in.

The world he now inhabited, despite having vilins and flicts, was rgely peaceful. There was structure, there were rules, and there was atability. It wasn't like the Naruto world, where Raikiri had been fed, a world pgued by stant wars and killing, where survival ofte res to lethal teiques.

Raikiri wasn't meant for rescue or capture. It wasn't a defeeique. It was, at its core, a killing move, designed for bat in a much harsher, more dangerous enviro.

Here, in a society that valued life araint, it made sense why Raikiri would be viewed as a move that crossed a lio many heroes, it likely seemed like something only vilins would develop.

Principal Nezu's decision to punish Kaminari hadn't been made lightly. It was meant to be a wake-up call, a remio Kaminari to tread carefully moving forward.

These thoughts ran through Kaminari's mind as Aizawa addressed the css. When Aizawa's gaze nded on him, asking a silent question, Kaminari nodded.

  What else could he do?

The decision had been made, and dwelling on it wouldn't ge anything. pining wouldn't help. It was better to accept the judgment and move on.

As for sealing Raikiri… Kaminari uood the reasoning. He could agree to not use it on his cssmates, but if a situation arose where his life was on the line, if he were fag vilins—he wouldn't hesitate. Rules or no rules, survival came first.

"Alright," Aizawa said, nodding in approval. "Sih parties involved agree, we'll leave this topic behind. Let's move on."

The css listened ily as Aizawa tinued, his tone calm and direct.

"First of all, good work today. You all performed admirably during the sports festival."

"As a reward, the school has decided to give you a short break. Tomorrow and the day after are official holidays. During this time, recruitment offers from professional heroes will start ing in. After the break, we'll sort through the offers and annouhem. Until then, enjoy your time off."

With that, Aizawa turned and walked out of the , leaving the students to process everything he'd said.

  ---

As soon as Aizawa was gone, a collective sigh of relief swept through the room. Ashido, Mia, Midoriya, and others visibly rexed, their shoulders dropping.

  "That was… intense," Ashido murmured.

"Kaminari," Momo called out, standing up from her seat. "Are you ing over to my house today?"

"Not today." Kaminari shook his head, a small smile. "I think my parents were pretty shaken by everything that happened. I should spend some time with them."

He g Tetsutetsu, notig the gold medal sitting on his desk. Without dwelling on it, Kaminari turned bao. "What about you, Tetsutetsu? Are you heading to the judo gym ter?"

Tetsutetsu hesitated, his frustration still simmerih the surface. But Kaminari's calm demeanor seemed to ease his nerves.

"I nning to," Tetsutetsu admitted. "But after what you said, I think I'll head home instead."

"Great, let's walk together," Kaminari said with a grin.

As the css started to file out, Kaminari turo Kyoka, who had been quietly standing nearby.

"Kyoka," he said, "if you're free the day after tomorrow, let's meet iudio. We should take advantage of the sports festival buzz and drop a new single."

Kyoka's eyes lit up, her earlier sadness momentarily fotten. "You've got a new song?"

"Yep," Kaminari replied. "Today's experience gave me some inspiration."

He thought to himself that now was the perfect time to release a song. He hadn't checked the i yet, but he could already imagine his rending across Japan. By tomorrow, when the neers hit the stands, his notoriety would likely skyrocket.

Kaminari, Momo, Tetsutetsu, and Kyoka left the together. As they approached the school gate, Kaminari's phone buzzed in his pocket, his ringtone "Only My Railgun" breaking the silence.

"You guys go ahead—I'll catch up," Kaminari said, stepping aside to ahe call.

  "Hello?"

"Hello! Is this Mr. Kaminari Denki?"

  "Yeah, speaking. Who's this?"

"This is a representative from the support equipment development division uhe Mitsui Group. I'm calling to let you know that your bat uniform is nearly plete!"

  Kaminari's eyes lit up. "Really?"

"Yes. We'd like you to e in for a fitting to finalize the design. If you have any additional feedback, we make adjustments on the spot. When would be a good time for you to visit?"

Kaminari hesitated. "Uh… where are you located?"

The representative gave him the address, and Kaminari realized it was a bit far from his home in Saitama City.

"Hmm… I'm a bit tied up right now," Kaminari said thoughtfully. " I tact you in a few days to schedule something?"

"Of course. Just let us know when you're ready."

"Thanks. I'll be in touch soon."
