Even so, Gwen smiled.
'To think you have regeion... You hid it well, Peter...'
She closed her eyes, satisfied with her st act of defiance.
However, just whehought it was all over, her system began to reboot itself, surprising her.
Her HUD lit up as the nanites began to fun again. Her systems rebooted, rest full power to her cyberipos. Her sensistered a new presehe familiar face of Peter Parker. He was holding her unstable Arc Reactor.
"Wele back to the world of living again, Gwen," Peter greeted her with a wry smile.
"...Pete?!" She called in surprise.
"I've repced your power source, but your cyberieed some serious repair. So, take a break. We'll talk after I take care of this shitty situation," Peter replied.
Gwen was about to reply but saw Miles leaping towards them, r in rage.
"YOU! PARKER!!"
Peter dodged Miles effortlessly and smmed his fist into Miles' , sending him flying backward. Miles tried to stand up, but the shock from the punch shattered his lower jaws.
"I've already overloaded his system. He'll die soon," Gwen said as she pulled herself up with Peter's help.
"I know, but that's only if there was only one Miles Morales."
"...What do you mean?"
"I've been analyzing him sihe battle started. That's just a e inal Miles made. A perfect copy, but still a e. Not to mention the remote trram in his impnt... His death won't ge anything. The real Miles is somewhere else..."
"What?! Where?"
"He'll be here any moment to finish the job... He's been watg us through that e's eyes after all."
Gwen ched her fist. Her systems might have rebooted, but she was far from being fully operational. Her cyberics were severely damaged, leaving her vulnerable to atack. She was in no dition to fight, but Peter seemed calm as if he had something in mind.
Peter opened a portal, "Go in and wait for me."
Gweated but did as he told. She o rest and recuperate to get her systems baline. As soon as she ehe portal, he closed it and blinked before the e, who was on his fours, struggling to get up.
Peter stomped the e's waist, breaking him as a siing ch was heard, sending a final jolt of bio-electricity through the ruined maery. The e spasmed violently before colpsing, its limbs spyed in unnatural ahe once powerful and intimidating figure now reduced to a heap of malfuning circuits and anic debris. Blue liquid ttered on the ground, creating a nasty gooey mess.
He took out a small device from his pocket and smmed it on the cyb's neck. It was a neural interfajector, desigo hato his owions, like the neural impnts and the cyberics these cybs were using. Peter made it so that if a time came when his iions were being used for bad things, then with a single and, he could shut them down or trol them acc to the situation.
"Well, who would have thought that a single iion of mine would e to bite me in the ass..." Peter mumbled under his breath as he took out his phone-sized puter, desigo use as his on the go PC.
A small burst of blue electricity surged from the ior, flowing into the exposed circuitry. The e's eyes flickered, the yellow glow fading in and out as Peter's device began its work. The neural interface dug deep into the e's tral processing unit, bypassing yers of encryption and security protocols. Peter's fingers danced across the touch s, his eyes focused oreams of data flooding in.
"Let's see what secrets you're hiding," he murmured, sing through the data. The interface blinked as it reized the signature of Peter's old programming—this e was based on his own work, after all. He knew where to look, which traps to avoid, and what ots to exploit. Within moments, he was ihe e's mainframe, ected to the work that linked all the remaining cybs together.
The system opened up to him...
"What the fuck?!"
The e art of a rger hive, a work that stretched across the city, trolling dozens, if not hundreds, of other cybs. Eae otential on, and Miles—the real Miles—was the puppet master pulling the strings.
"Motherfucker! When the heck did he create all these cybs?! Did he bring them with him? Or... Is he mass-produg them? God damn it!" He cursed as he noticed a set timer. The cybs were set to self-destru less than 10 mihe realization hit him like a freight train. Miles wasn't just ied in Gwen or himself; he wao turire city into a graveyard, using the cybs as living bombs. Peter's hands moved faster, rag against the clock. He didn't have much time. "If all these hundreds of cybs self-destruct together within a city, the damage would be unimaginable!! So, this was your pn, huh?! Well, not if I help it."
The e's body vulsed, sparks flying from its joints as Peter hacked deeper into the system. He could feel Miles' presehe inal's mind watg him through the work, and was trying to reverse hack, but Peter was faster, smarter. "You future kid wanna pete with me in hag?!"
He broke through the final yer of security, accessing the core and structure.
"Gotcha," Peter said with a grim smile. The neural interface device hummed, synizing with the e's work. Peter took a deep breath and issued a single and.
The cybs across the city—hidden in buildings, attag the city, fighting the heroes, disguised as civilians, lurking in the shadows—jerked to a halt. Their eyes glowed as one, a synized pulse of yellow light. The city's surveilnce systems picked up the sudden shift, cameras capturing the eerie se as hundreds of cybs turheir heads skyward, as if answering a silent call.
The Avengers and X-Force took this ce to destroy as many cybs as they could.
Peter bypassed Miles' trol pletely, taking over the work. His fingers flew across the device's interface, issuing a new set of ands. The cybs responded instantly, their bodies stiffening as they received their orders. One by ohey began to rise into the air, their thrusters a packs activating in unison. It was an awe-inspirierrifying sight—an army of cybs asding into the night sky, leaving the ground behind as they soared higher and higher above the city.
Miles' voice crackled through the neural link, distorted and filled with rage. "PARKER! What the hell do you think you're doing?!"
Peter didn't answer immediately, too focused on ensuring every st cyb was ated for. He could feel Miles' desperation, the inal trying to wrest trol back, but Peter repared. He had locked down the and codes, rerouted the work's energy flow, and eve up decoy loops to distract Miles' AI from finding the real and structure.
"Nothing much, just saving the city from your mass murder attempt," Peter finally replied, his tone casual but deadly serious.
"You bastard! Do you know how much time I spent oing them?!" Miles cursed, "I'm gonna kill your entire family, you motherfucker! You better stop it, Parker. I'm telling you... I'm gonna kill your family if that's the st thing I do!"
"If you think you take on Wanda and a Bck Cat with Venom, be my guest. Or, e and fight me like a man... Oops, I fot. You ain't even a man anymore, fug cyb or should I say, Morlun's bitch... Did you suck him off or something or did you offer your ass? Wait! Don't tell me he offered his ass to you so that you could fuck him with your cyberic dick while Morlun moaned like a bit heat... Oh! Sorry! He already moans like a bit heat, doesn't he? Augg! Bunch of creeps doing all shorts of shits..." Peter replied with a mog tone.
"YOU! FUG! PIECE! OF! SHIT! PARKER! I'LL KILL YOU! I'LL FUG KILL YOU!!" Miles roared in anger.
Peter cut the e, severing Miles' influence from the work pletely. The cybs were his now, their fates sealed.
High above the city, the cybs reached the peak of their ast. Peter could see them on his micro PC, hundreds of tiny dots clustered together in the sky, glowing faintly against the backdrop of stars. He activated the final sequence, his thumb h over the firmation button.
"Time for some fireworks..." Peter said with a smirk as he pressed the button.
The sky lit up with a series of explosions, eae blooming like a deadly flower. The cybs detonated in quick succession, their bodies disiing into fiery shards that rained down harmlessly into the o or burnt out imosphere. The night was filled with the sounds of destru, but for the first time, it was destru that brought relief instead of despair. The city below remained untouched, spared from the age that had been intended for it.
