  Chapter 7: Serpent’s Wrath (2)

The air crackled with a malevolent energy as Titanoconda, a beast of unimaginable size and power, unleashed its full fury. Its massive body, covered in gleaming obsidian scales, moved with a speed that defied logic. Garon barely had time to shout a warning before the serpent’s tail whipped through the air, sending a shockwave that gouged the earth, carving deep trenches in the ground.

“Stalacera, hold the line!” Garon commanded. His evolved summon planted its feet with unyielding determination, its crystalline armor glistening in the dim light. As Titanoconda's tail crashed into the earth, Stalacera’s legs buckled under the force, but it stood firm, holding its ground despite the crushing impact. Spider-web cracks spread through the ground beneath it, but its armor held, and Stalacera barely flinched.

Throne, ever quick on his feet, dashed to the side, his blade flashing as he aimed for the serpent’s underbelly. But the blow bounced harmlessly off the Titanoconda’s impenetrable scales. “Damn it!” he cursed. “Nothing’s getting through with regular weapons!”

The Titanoconda’s response was swift and brutal. It reared back, its head rising high above the trees as it opened its massive jaws, unleashing a spray of venom so potent that the very air seemed to burn with its toxic mist. The ground beneath them began to bubble and melt as the venom dissolved everything in its path.

“Flarecub, create a fire barrier!” Garon ordered, his voice sharp with urgency. With a burst of heat, Flarecub summoned a fiery shield, scorching the air and burning away the toxic cloud. The barrier held, but the serpent was already moving again.

Titanoconda’s tail lashed out like a battering ram, aiming to crush Stalacera under its weight. The evolved summon groaned, its crystalline armor creaking under the immense pressure, hairline fractures beginning to form on its once-impenetrable shell.

“Aeroant, Wind Sparrow—create some space!” Throne shouted. The two summons leaped into action, Wind Sparrow summoning powerful gusts that momentarily pushed the serpent back, while Aeroant darted around the beast, using the wind to force Titanoconda into an unstable position. Earth Spider launched webbing aimed at Titanoconda’s eyes, blinding it long enough to disrupt its focus.

Garon analyzed the battle, his mind racing. Its scales are nearly indestructible, but its movements have a pattern... He watched the serpent’s strikes, each one more savage than the last. It favors its right side... and after it releases venom, there’s a slight delay in its next move.

“Throne!” Garon shouted, not breaking eye contact with the serpent. “Can your summons handle distraction duty?”

Throne grinned, eyes flashing with understanding. “Just give the word.”

“When I say go, have them attack from all sides. Force it to use its venom.”

The battlefield had become a chaotic mess of tremors, toxic miasma, and flying debris. Stalacera's powerful steps sent mini-avalanches of loose rock cascading down the slope, while Flarecub’s fiery attacks scorched the earth, leaving nothing but ash in its wake. The Titanoconda moved with deadly intent, its massive form cutting through the battlefield with terrifying speed, each strike more vicious than the last.

A lucky strike from Wind Sparrow landed a glancing blow to Titanoconda’s eye, drawing the first blood. The serpent’s eyes flared with furious rage, and it entered a berserk state, its tail lashing out unpredictably. Throne’s Aeroant was caught off guard, sent crashing into a rock face as it failed to dodge the wild blow.

  “Now!” Garon shouted.

Throne’s summons surged into action, with Wind Sparrow bombarding the Titanoconda from above, creating blade-like gusts that sliced into the serpent’s hide. Earth Spider followed suit, sending thick webs toward the serpent’s face, forcing it to defend from multiple angles.

Just as Garon had predicted, Titanoconda, now completely enraged, reared back once more, preparing to unleash another deadly spray of venom.

  “Stalacera, Seismic Slam!” Garon roared.

With a massive leap, Stalacera slammed its armored fists into the ground, sending shockwaves rippling outward. The earth trembled violently as seismic tremors tore through the battlefield, and Titanoconda lost its footing for a crucial moment, its body swaying dangerously as it tried to regain balance.

“Flarecub, go for the throat!” Garon yelled.

Flarecub, its flames blazing with intensity, darted forward, aiming for the serpent’s exposed neck. With a fiery roar, it scratched and burned at Titanoconda’s tough hide, leaving patches of scorched flesh. But the beast was far from finished.

The Titanoconda coiled its massive body, gathering itself for one final, devastating strike. Dark energy pulsed through its veins, the ground itself trembling under the power it was about to unleash. The serpent rose to its full height, venom dripping from its fangs in thick, corrosive streams. This would be its final attack, and Garon knew it could be their last chance to end the battle—or be obliterated.

Garon stood his ground, Stalacera and Flarecub at his side. The fate of the battle, and possibly their lives, hung in the balance. This was no longer just a fight; it was a test of everything they had.

  The Titanoconda struck.

  To be continued...
