Chapter 391

Anton arrived at the inn with Torun, Blake, Andrea, and Soren floating behind him while Soren’s gang of boys followed behind who kept laughing at Torun’s group’s situation. When they entered the inn, the families of those who were floating looked worried but Soren’s gang haphazardly explained the situation causing everyone to switch from worry to exasperation.

He saw that Blake and Andrea’s parents were particularly annoyed at the siblings and more than likely, there would be some sort of punishment involved but mostly, everyone was just amused. The fact that an archmage carried them back to the inn using a spell comforted the family since they knew that their children were safe.

Anton remembered that some of his friends’ family members were worried about the assassin group so he talked to the patriarchs and informed them that the assassin situation had been resolved by the Amelia’s powerful wizards so they didn’t have to worry anymore. He was not keeping it a secret so those in the room had heard his announcement.

Some of Soren’s gang members loudly said that those who kept saying that they should cut off their connection with Anton should apologize and Anton noticed the fearful and worried expressions on some of the people in the inn. The patriarchs of the families looked appalled when they heard the boys informing Anton of the situation.

“You don’t need to worry Sir Borun, Sir Rommel, Sir Martin. I’m aware of the situation and I wouldn’t fault anyone since they were just concerned with the family members. Let’s just celebrate that the assassin group has been conquered,” Anton reiterated what he said to Torun and the others to their patriarchs. However, based on their expression, those people who suggested cutting off with him would receive a severe scolding.

Anton could understand the patriarchs since a relationship with a powerful archmage like him was a huge advantage for any family and the fact that some of their family members jeopardized that relationship because of momentary fear was a huge stupidity on their part.

Since Anton felt that it was still too early after depositing his drunken friends to their families, he accepted Soren’s gang invitation to go somewhere “interesting”. The interesting place that Soren’s gang was referring to was this place’s red light district. Considering they were all hormone-filled teenagers, Anton should have expected it. The amusing thing was the boys were all broke so all they could do was sniff the roses.

Anton had to admit that the beauties in the alluring street tempted him but when he saw Devon and Frederick in one of the houses there surrounded by beautiful blondes, gorgeous red-haired ladies, and stunning brunettes, he lost a bit of interest since he felt a bit embarrassed.

He knew that even if he did something in this place and his father learned of it, nothing would come of it since he was old enough to be responsible for something like a little debauchery and knew how to protect himself either from diseases or unwanted children and Anders knew that.

It was just he wanted his first time to be special and with someone he loved since it would be his first in two worlds. It was stupid of him considering that the future holds no security for anyone but for now, that was how he felt. It was the excuse that he was giving himself instead of acknowledging that he felt insecure about having a relationship with another woman however temporary. It was ironic considering that he had been teasing everyone about the access that he had to pornography when he was too much of a chicken to indulge himself in the red-light district.

If he was back on Earth surrounded by normal people and he had the means, people would probably say that he needed therapy before he could attempt to be intimate with another woman but Anton just shrugged and said to himself that he wouldn’t worry about it.

Anton said his goodbyes to Soren’s gang members and told him that he had some wizardly duties that he had forgotten that he needed to attend to. He returned to the Cosplay Venue and was thankful that Devon and Frederick didn’t notice him. They were probably in the red light district celebrating their freedom from fear of the assassins.

Back at the Cosplay Venue, even though it was very late, it was still very lively. He was surprised that even the cinema was still running. Anton roamed around alone since he didn’t know where the others were but even alone, the event was truly enjoyable.

At around midnight, he went to the cinema to check it out and his father and the others were overseeing it.

“Why is the cinema still open?” Anton asked his father.

“By request, we decided not to close it since we will only stay here for just a few more days.”

Anton understood since the locals were greatly excited about the films. It was an eye-opener with them coupled with the Cosplay Event. He could see the excitement on everyone’s faces and it was a real celebration and was glad that he suggested the Cosplay Event. If it wasn’t for that, this stop would have probably been just a normal trading hub for the passengers, which was boring.

At around two in the morning, Anders advised everyone that those who could rest to rest since the costume competition would be held in a few hours. Anton decided to follow his father’s suggestion and returned to the hotel to rest. All of the girls stayed though including Anna. Anders allowed it but warned Anna that she might be too tired during the events in a few hours.

“I wouldn’t worry too much about that, father. The physical constitution of mages, even though the weakest in the magical profession was still above those of regular people,” Anton said and his father just nodded.

Anton himself wanted to get a few hours of sleep since he was very active that day. He wasn’t tired per se but he wanted to be fully awake and full energy during the costume contest awarding.

Back at the hotel, thanks to the Pearl of the Ocean, Anton fell asleep immediately and woke up early fully energized. After taking a shower, he saw that Andrea’s tiny raven arrived. He then remembered that he had to create a mini raven and a tiny wolf tablet for Antonia and Lucia since the assassins destroyed theirs but then he could just do it once they were back in the ocean.

He joined Torun and the others who were waiting downstairs at the hotel lobby and they all went to Cosplay Venue even though it was only around eight in the morning. The venue didn’t close for the last day of the event and they expected that it would be full of people when they arrived at the location, it was indeed highly populated by both the passengers of the Amelia and the locals.

They went to one of the places that served food and ate their breakfast while talking about the possible winners of the cosplay costumes. No one was excluded and Antonia justified it by telling everyone that the judges that they had selected were impartial and mostly consisted of artists so they would only look for the appearance of the costumes not who was wearing the costumes.

After breakfast, Anton, together with his friends roamed around and enjoyed the last day of the Cosplay event in the islands of Norbuna before the awarding ceremony that would be held after lunch.
