Chapter 389

While flying back to where the Cosplay Venue was located, Anton realized that he didn’t need to worry too much while on the Amelia about his and his family and friends’ safety. That meant that he could start relaxing and focus on his decision to learn about the magic of this world since his lack of this world’s magical knowledge could be very dangerous for him. At the same time, Anton planned to continue leveling up his characters in his Diablo II system.

If this world was a little peaceful and not in the middle of the attack by the undead, he thought that it was fine to just leisurely focus on his Diablo II system but because of the situation, it felt like tomorrow was the final exam and he needed to cram to be able to pass since the result of failure was his and his family’s demise.

When he arrived at the conference room, everyone was there and based on their expression, they were aware that the ship’s wizards were currently engaged with the assassin group and that the only thing they could do was to wait.

While doing so, Anton talked to Frederick regarding his decision to formally start his magical education.

“Frederick, I want to talk to you regarding magic. I realized that I’ve been relying too much on my bloodline magic and I can’t deny that it’s too powerful but because of that, it seemed like I neglected standard magic too much which was a mistake because ignorance of something so important could be very dangerous for me and everyone involved with me. Can you assist me in creating a lesson plan that would suit me? I would prefer something along the lines of this world's magic history, theories, and general knowledge about the basic practice a mage would undergo to the most advanced that you could help me with. Not so much as specific spells but everything else.”

“I’ll be happy to help you, Anton. The very basic, I can cover and I even have some of the books but more than that, we need to speak to high-ranking wizards. The main problem we have is, since we're in the middle of traveling, the knowledge resources that we have is limited.”

“That’s fine. I’ve been stressing myself since we left Rendindura thinking that I needed to be aware at all times to make sure that we’re all safe but I realize that we should be safe while we’re on board the ship so I decided to use the year that we’re traveling to expand my knowledge.”

“What does it mean when it comes to our magic practice during the day?” Anna interjected and Anton saw their father glaring at him.

Anton didn’t mind that everyone was listening to his conversation with Frederick. He knew that his every move was a concern for the whole family since he was aware that he was the backbone of their group.

He signaled to his father that it was alright and answered his sister.

“It wouldn’t change anything. I still plan to stay in our rooms at least eight hours a day starting after breakfast so during that time you can still use my auras to practice your spell casting and spell memorization. After that though, I recommend that you follow my steps and expand your knowledge since, to be honest with you, the Undead Coalition seemed like they wouldn’t stop anytime soon and in my thinking, they would turn their attention to other parts of the world. It would be better for us as a family if we have the power to keep what ours safe from them. We have a year while we’re in the ocean so we should make good use of that.”

This book is hosted on another platform. Read the official version and support the author's work.

“I thought that you planned to relax and be with your friends after your wizard work?” Anton’s father asked.

“I will still do that but probably once or twice a week.”

“I understand son, but remember to relax. You’re still young and I hope that you enjoy yourself more but I know that in these times we may not have the choice to do so. The only thing we can do is steal happy moments and I think it’s a good thing that we have a year to do so while we’re traveling to the new continent,” Anders said to him.

Anton, to be honest, was touched by his father’s concern that he should be happy while he and his sister were young. The fact that they were not farmers anymore and had the wealth to enjoy themselves, the only thing that was missing was time since they had been on the run ever since he transmigrated from this world and even now, they were still running. He was happy then that he did have access to the media content of Earth because that allowed his life to be somewhat enjoyable. The fact that he could share them with his family and friends was a huge bonus.

After a couple of hours of waiting, they saw the conference door open and a disheveled two women entered. Antonia and Lucia entered followed by the Supreme Wizard Adinor. The girls stood up and rushed to the two previously kidnapped women and hugged them.

Anna kept saying that they were so worried and that Anton flew all over the place to search for them.

“Thank you for your concern, all of you. The Supreme Wizards and the archmages handled the situation flawlessly and we don’t have to worry about those assassins anymore,” Antonia said to them.

“Now let us go and we’ll take a bath so we can resume our handling of this event,” Lucia added.

“Don’t you want to rest first?” Anton asked.

“No. We only stayed there for a little time and those criminals didn’t touch us. They were hurrying since they knew that the ship boasted several Supreme Wizards and Archmages and they couldn’t afford to dillydally but the fact that they didn’t have wizards of their own was their undoing. They were limited in what they could, especially against powerful wizards,” Antonia said and after that, they allowed the two women to go to where the bathroom was located in the area.

All the girls, including the bodyguards that Anders hired, followed the two women and that seemed to bring comfort to the two noblewomen.

The Supreme Wizard Adinor said his goodbye after talking with Antonia, Lucia, Walter, and Philip briefly.

During that time, Anton’s father informed him that the coins they earned from the cinema were tremendous due to the fact that the price of the ticket was enormous and his father felt a little guilty.

Anton told his father that it was fine since their customers were rich people anyway and that this was the only time that those people would enjoy that kind of entertainment. Meaning that it was a once-in-a-lifetime event for them. That statement seemed to comfort his father.

To be honest, Anton felt relieved. He could now focus on doing whatever he wanted without worrying that his family and friends would be endangered because of those assassins. He knew that that would allow him to enjoy the Cosplay Event more and he would make sure to do so for the next few days.

It was already around five in the afternoon but when he saw that every one of his family members and his friends were all right, he told his father that he would like to join his friends for the rest of the evening and after Anders gave his permission, Anton ran off which brought a smile to his father face, without him learning about it.
