Chapter 411

Several minutes had passed but Anton, Torun, Andrea, Blake, and Soren were not bored waiting for the salesgirl to bring the magic item recorders from somewhere. Anton’s friends enjoyed being treated as important customers in a huge magic shop in one of the magic bazaar sections of the ship and Anton enjoyed talking to his friends.

Soon, the salesgirl arrived with several magic item recorders. Anton and his friends listened to the salesgirl's description of every item she brought. One looked like a crystal that was set on a rocky pedestal and it was about twelve inches in height and width. Once the image was recorded, it would be shown in the center of the crystal. Another one that had the same functionality as the crystal gem was a crystal ball that looked like one of those crystal balls that charlatans used to tell fortunes and just like the crystal gem, once the image was recorded, the recording would be shown at the center of the crystal ball.

Another item that Anton found interesting was a music box but instead of a dancing doll or some such thing, the recorded image would be shown on top of the music box. The fourth one was a book where the recorded image would be shown once the book was opened at the middle page and the book would always open at the middle page. The fifth one was the least interesting one which was a hand mirror but Anton found all the items interesting so he decided to purchase them all to the delight of the salesgirl. Anton then thought “There goes a thousand gold coins” but he wasn’t really worried since Anders gave him thousands and thousands of gold coins from the sales of the magic item recorder that recorded the Lord of The Rings trilogy.

Torun, Blake, Amelia, and Soren were flabbergasted at the amount of coins that Anton spent.

“Why do you have so much coins?” Soren tactlessly asked.

“We received a lot, and I mean a lot of gold coins from the sales of magic item recorder that had the Lord of The Rings movies recorded in it to the Norbunians,” Anton answered.

“Can we see what you’re going to record on these magic items?” Andrea asked while inspecting one of the items that Anton just bought.

“Sure! Let’s go to my place. There should be no one there right now and that meant that I can record in peace.”

Once they arrived back at Anton’s family suite, he warned his friends not to create any noise while recording since any noise would be recorded. He prepared all five of the magic item recorders to record his song cover at the same time and played the songs on the screen projector in the home theater area.

Basically, every song was just him playing a guitar while seated on his bed in his room in the Amelia. He was still wearing his mage robes so he was presentable. Anton made sure that the songs varied. Some of them came from famous rock and roll bands, some from famous balladeers, and a couple were from modern singers who made their songs famous by relying on the most famous short video platform on the internet. All thirteen of the songs he chose had already proven their popularity among Earth’s citizens so he knew that the listeners would be entertained. He planned to give one to his father and a second one to Anna. The rest he would keep and would give out to people he thought he should give one to.

Once the recording session was over and Anton turned off the magic items, his friends began clapping.

“You’re a really good singer!” Torun said and everyone was looking at him with bright eyes.

Anton laughed and told them that his initial plan was to become a bard if wizarding did not work out.

“You’re also a great songwriter! All of the songs you’ve written touched my heart,” Andrea said.

“I did not write them. They came from the same dimension where the movies came from and their music industry is also well-developed,” Anton said while laughing.

“In my opinion, you’re already as good as some of the bards that I’ve heard and we were lucky enough to enter the Patron Bar once,” Soren said.

“We used your name when we did that,” Blake admitted and Torun and Soren glared at him while Andrea blushed.

“We were even served free wine. I think that was because one of your rich friends saw us with you and treated us,” Blake continued ignoring his friends and his sister.

They spent the rest of the time staying at the suite talking while listening to Anton’s cover songs that were playing in the background at a reduced volume. When lunchtime arrived, Anton offered to treat his friends to a nearby restaurant but they declined saying that their family expected them to return for lunch.

“They knew that if we stayed with you during lunchtime, you would treat us and they thought that it was an imposition so they required us to return home,” Torun said.

Anton told them that he didn’t mind treating them but Torun said that they might be punished if they stayed so soon after his friends left. He then turned off the magic item recorder that was playing Anton’s songs since he wanted to surprise his father and his sister later that day.

The mages arrived after a few minutes and started practicing their magic, almost ignoring Anton.

“What happened?” Anton asked Frederick and the mage laughed.

“They were all attending the same classes about spellcasting and they were shown off by a level three wizard. Now they all wanted to reach that level as soon as possible,” Frederick said.

Anton shook his head and went inside his room to continue leveling up his Barbarian character but first, he created his customary three enchanted items that he usually made every day. At around five in the afternoon, he stopped leveling up his Barbarian and was happy enough that it reached level seventeen. He admitted again to himself that he was very slow when it came to leveling up his character but his process was not just simply killing the monster but learning how to weave the skills intimately. He wanted the knowledge because he knew that it was a way for him to learn how to modify the skills if he wanted them to and not only that, knowing the magic and skill of his characters would also allow him to use them for enchanting purposes.

During the last hour before dinner, he practiced his music again by following the instructions of the teacher on the online music course that he purchased from the internet then he recorded another song. After that, he joined his family for dinner.

“Can we skip going to the dining hall tonight? I have something to show all of you,” Anton said and his father nodded.

Anders then asked Colin to look for Harun so they could order food. While they were waiting, Anton placed the five magic item recorders on the table.

“There are magic item recorders and I recorded my cover songs,” Anton said then he activated one of the magic items to play his cover album.

His family and friends then watched the recording of Anton playing his guitar and singing his cover songs. Anton felt a bit shy but he knew that the only way for him to get used to it was to keep doing it. He had already sang songs in front of a crowd before and he felt shy then but he needed to get over it.
