Anton had only stopped leveling his Amazon character an hour before he joined his family for dinner. He did level up to level forty, and he didn’t rush the process as usual. He took his time making sure that every skill that his body would remember the minute intricacies of every Amazon skill that he used.
At first, Anton thought that once his Amazon’s level was high enough and he could use the skill Lightning Strike, which was the most powerful skill under the Javelin and Spear tree, the act of using the skill would feel like casting a spell to him which was what he was after since he was a mage through and through but the feeling was different from what he was expecting.
Instead of feeling like he was casting a skill, he felt like an ultimate athlete warrior throwing spears at all the enemies that he encountered, mowing everything down with the divine lightning that came from the skill. It was utterly satisfying, almost orgasmic, that for some reason, he hadn’t experienced when he was playing the Barbarian, Assassin, or the Paladin characters. He didn’t know why, but from then on, Anton’s favorite character after the Sorceress was the Amazon.
The passive skill that all the physical characters had given him from the Barbarian, the Assassin, the Paladin, and now the Amazon made him truly “tanky” in real life. The combination of the hardiness of having a great defense and the dodge provided by high Dexterity and the passive skills of the physical characters probably made him like a cockroach in real life, unable to be killed and combine with the Sorceress ability to escape using the teleport skill would made sure that he would survive any encounter if the enemy was beyond him.
Before joining his family for dinner, Anton didn’t forget to record another song. His song collections for the “Café Music” album were almost enough for him to purchase another set of magic recorder items so he could give it to his father, who requested for him to record more songs.
During dinner, Anton talked to his family about the movies that they had been showing to the audience.
“Are people not getting tired of watching the same genre?”
“What do you mean?” Anton’s father asked.
“I know that we chose to limit the movies to those that had settings that resembled our world so as not to shock them, but to be honest, I’m getting tired of watching them.”
“I can understand what you’re saying, Anton. You have unlimited access to the movies and television shows from the dimension where they came from and according to you that because the people there had decades of watching movies and shows, they’re jaded when it came to the type of movies they would flock into and because of your access, you’re almost the same as them. Remember that for the citizens of this world, movies are something new and vibrant. Even if the movies that we show wouldn’t pass your quality check, the citizens of this world would gladly pay the coins to watch them and praise them to the heavens,” Antonia answered his question.
“Especially when they can only watch two new movies per month. That meant that if you want to alleviate your boredom, you can only watch movies that’s different from what everyone else is watching here in your rooms,” Philip added.
Stolen from Royal Road, this story should be reported if encountered on Amazon.
“Is there really an unlimited number of movies from the dimension where you’re getting them?” Frederick asked, and Anton simply nodded.
“Please remember that the dimension where I’m getting the movies from is alive, and that means that movies are being produced all the time, so the number just keeps getting higher.”
“Besides, on the list of movies that we’ve chosen, the seven Harry Potter films are included, and that was somewhat different since, based on the trailers that you’ve shown us, those films also had technology from that dimension where the movies came from,” Anders said.
Anton was actually excited to watch the Harry Potter films since he had not seen them yet. He had read the books thanks to a classmate lending them to him, and he painstakingly copied each one of the books on a notebook so he could have his own copy that he could read whenever he wanted.
The main reason why he hadn’t seen the movie was because he loved the books so much. They brought him into a world full of wonder and magic, and he was a bit averse to destroying the images that his imagination depicted whenever he read the books, replacing them with what the movies conceived, but according to his classmates, the movies were as good as the books.
Anton doubted it very much, but because of those reviews, maybe it’s time for him to see what the fuss was all about. Besides, he was already living in a fantasy world so even if the movies destroyed one of his beloved stories, it wasn’t that important to him anymore.
It was also the same reason why he hadn’t read the Lord of the Rings books. The movies were so great that he didn’t want the books to change his perspective of the films.
After dinner, even though everyone was tempted to watch the first episode of season one of the Game of Thrones television show, Anders told them strictly that they had to follow the schedule since why else would they create one if they couldn’t follow it. This time, everyone was here, but what if someone was missing? Would they just disregard the missing person and go watch the show anyway? They could only do that if the person in question gave them permission in advance, that’s why the schedule was important, but in Anton’s opinion, that he kept strictly to himself, his father just did not want to hurt Selena’s feeling if they disregarded the schedule that she and her two friends, Norma and Belue, created.
They all went to their rooms to reset, but the mages stayed in the living room to continue practicing their magic, and Anton didn’t really want to watch them since he found what they were doing tedious.
Inside his room, Anton decided to waste his time by watching an anime from one of the websites that he was paying a subscription for. He was thankful that he could use his Diablo II system’s gold to subscribe to Earth’s websites and because of that, he was subscribed to all of them.
He decided to watch some slice-of-life anime, and he chose Barakamon. He had been watching too much action fantasy, whether it was movies or television shows, so some nice relaxing show was what he needed. He liked the anime so much that he reached episode eight before he fell asleep.
The next day, Anton met with Torun and his friends after breakfast, but instead of staying in the suite to practice music, they roamed around the ship. They had not done it for some time, so they wanted to check each and every part of the ship that they could reach. They had several hours, and they wanted to use those hours for their tiny adventure but they did visit the place where the animals were corralled.
Anton wanted to make sure that Maide and Bailey were doing well. When they reached the place, the horses were highly affectionate towards Anton, and he fed them their favorite, mana water.
“What is that you’re feeding them?” Andrea asked curiously when she saw what Anton was doing.
“It's mana-infused water. It’s something that would keep them healthy,” Anton absently answered, but he also didn’t provide any more information about mana water because that was one of the family’s secrets.
