Chapter 426

Their shenanigans that night lasted for hours, and since they were just enjoying themselves looking at the mithril armor set that everyone was now treating as a costume, the girls started thinking about which movie character they would wear on the Cosplay event.

The girls even persuaded Antonia and Lucia to include all the movies that all the passengers had already seen and they didn’t care about the citizens of the place that the ship was going to stop over in less than two months.

“Let’s just not care about the citizens of that place and enjoy the event ourselves. Let them be content with the movies that we’ll show them,” Anna said, acting like one of those spoiled rich girls.

Everyone laughed when Anna made that comment since they knew that her behavior was just an act. Anton was even a little impressed at Anna’s little rich spoiled girl act since it was truly on point.

“Anna does have a point, though. Why should we bother ourselves by what those islanders will think? I think that they will even enjoy looking at the costumes of characters of the movies they haven’t seen. We can even sell some of those movies for an undivinely amount of coins,” Lunelle said and Anders and Nemina’s eyes glittered.

Anton knew that his father and Nemina would probably decide to sell some of the copies of the movies because first, the recording of the films in the magic item recorder was not permanent and would degrade over time. Secondly, if another copy was made using the copy that they would sell, the quality and durability would lessen until there would come a time that all pirated copies would just disappear. Thirdly, because of the situation with the Undead Coalition, there was little chance that any copy made would circulate, and they would probably just remain in the islands.

Antonia and Lucia were finally persuaded to include all of the movies that the ship had shown ever since the cinema was established, and that made the girls cheer because they now had a large pool of characters they could choose from that they could cosplay.

After that, the girls, including the female bodyguards that Anders had hired, and Selena, Norma, and Belue busied themselves thinking about which characters they could cosplay. Antonia, Lucia, and Philip said their goodbyes, though and said that they would be busy the following days to plan the event. They did tell Anders and Nemina that they would have to join some of the meetings so that they could talk about which movies they would show on that stop over location.

Devon also said goodbye, telling everyone that he was meeting with his friends but everyone knew that he would just probably go to the red light district. Nemina and Lucas just sighed. When Devon was gone, Lucas and Nemina thanked Anton.

  “What for?” Anton asked.

“For healing Devon of filthy diseases,” Nemina said.

  “You know?”

Lucas sighed again and said that Devon’s behavior was like that ever since he became of age and they couldn’t stop it. They did have to spend a lot of coins over the years to ask a healer to heal Devon.

If you encounter this story on Amazon, note that it's taken without permission from the author. Report it.

“We did everything we could like beat him near death or allowed him to suffer the diseases that he acquired, but Nemina always folded whenever she saw Devon suffering,” Lucas said, and his wife just side-eyed him.

Anton told everyone that he wanted to rest, so he left them to their devices. It appeared that the girls would spend a few more hours discussing the characters they would choose for the cosplay event.

When Anton checked the time, he was surprised to see that it was already late, so after taking a shower, he slept immediately. He wanted to have a full rest for his magic classes the next day.

One thing that he really liked about his classes was that there were no exams. That meant that you would only learn if you focused and applied yourself since the teachers didn’t care. They would earn the coins that you’ve paid regardless. It was probably different if it was a true magic school but since it was a makeshift school for the mages to have something to do while they were traveling, there was no need to monitor the students’ progress.

All of the students who were attending the classes were extremely serious anyway. They knew the value of the lessons that were being taught, and the only reason that they had the privilege of learning from learned mages was because of the time spent on the ship.

Before he slept, Anton looked at the Pearl of the Ocean that the Blue Whales and the Pink Dolphins had given him. He was truly thankful to his ocean friends and hoped that the mana water that he provided them would allow them to evolve so that they could protect themselves from the dangers of this hostile world.

The next day, when Anton woke up, he felt refreshed. He realized that during the last few weeks, he had been very happy and content. The worry that came from running away from the Undead Coalition was almost dwindling to nothing. He thought that it might have been a mistake but at that moment, he didn’t care.

Anton would worry about it when the time came, but for now, he would enjoy himself. Besides, he was not stopping his pursuit of power anyway. He kept leveling up his character and once his Amazon reached its maximum level, his Diablo II system might change to allow him to further increase his power.

During lunchtime, together with his classmates, Anton shared some insider information about the Cosplay event that would happen when the Amelia reached their next stopover.

“Are you going to join the event?” Anton asked.

“Of course! It’s the only time that we can join an event hosted by New Drennor’s nobles. Normally, normal citizens or low ranking mages are not invited on these kinds of party but because everyone who can pay is invited, we can enjoy the party. The tickets weren’t even that costly since they gave a big discount to the passengers of the ship,” Fiona said.

“Well, this time, the cosplay event will include all the characters from all the movies that had been shown on the ship,” Anton kept sharing since he wasn’t warned by anybody anyway.

Anton knew that after several hours, the news would circulate the whole ship, but again, he didn’t care. It wasn’t that important information, and it would give the passengers time to work on their costumes if they wanted to.

Just like last night with the girls in the family, his classmates, even the guys, began talking about which movies they would choose to cosplay. Minerva even suggested that the six of them attend the party wearing costumes from a single film.

Minerva and Fiona took it upon themselves to decide on which movie they would choose to cosplay, and the guys, including Anton, just had to accept it. It was all in good fun, so Anton agreed, and with that, the rest of the guys agreed as well, but they did ask the girls that they would probably need help with their costumes. Fiona and Minerva agreed, but they demanded a promise from the guys that they would try their best since it was their “reputation” on the line.

The guys just laughed when they heard it but Fiona and Minerva just glared at them.
