Anton enjoyed dinner that night since it achieved what he had requested from his father. That it was supposed to be time for the family, and during that time, they were only talking about topics related to the family, and he felt that it was making everyone closer to each other.
Looking at his father, who had a big smile and a look of joyous contentment, made Anton happy. He wished that he had been able to do the same with his parents on Earth before they passed.
Anna looked the same. The frightened, anxious look that she had been sporting when they were running away from the undead was replaced by ambition and excitement. She was now behaving like a normal girl, and at the same time, there was a seed of fighting spirit that Anton had a glimpse of in his sister’s expression. He knew exactly how she felt. She had been a powerless girl wherein the only option that she had was to run away when confronted by scary things that wanted to kill her and her family, but now, she had the chance to have the power to fight back and just like Anton she was concentrating very hard to earn that power.
Anna also copied her brother’s tendency to not burn himself out by just focusing on one thing since, just like Anton, she was also beginning to have a robust social circle and was cheerful enough to watch movies with her family and friends. Anton had been spouting about mental health and work and life balance to explain his time with his friends, and more than likely, Anna was inheriting that behavior, which in his opinion was a good thing. Even though Anton truly didn’t know anything about psychology, he just felt that having a hobby was a good thing in keeping their minds healthy.
After dinner, everyone was excited to open the last chest and when they did, they were flabbergasted at the content.
“Oh my divines! It’s a full set of mithril light armor. There’s the armor and its parts for the head, bracers and shoes, a buckler, and a short sword!” Philip exclaimed.
“How do you know it’s mithril?” Anton curiously asked.
It was Antonia who answered.
“The four of us had seen mithril metal during our time in some of our family businesses and once you’ve seen the metal, you will not be able to forget its characteristics.”
Anton didn’t see any magical glow specific to enchantments. The only magic that he could see was the magic that inherently came from the metal, but to be sure, he stored the chainmail in his inventory, and his Diablo II system identified it as Mithril chainmail and provided its durability and base defense, and that was it.
The whole light armor set consisted of a pair of headgear, chainmail, gloves, and shoes. The chest also contained a short sword and a buckler.
“Can I melt one of them so I can experiment on the metal?” Anton asked.
Anton’s four noble friends, his father, Lucas, and Devon acted as if he had uttered something taboo.
“It’s a whole set! That meant that its value is astronomical. Once one piece of the set is missing, its value will decrease severely!” Philip exclaimed.

“Are we just going to sell it? I think we have enough coins, so it would be much better to just let me experiment with it. Maybe I can create an extremely powerful magic item,” Anton debated.
“Look at the beauty and artistry of the whole set. Maybe you can just put your enchantments on the pieces themselves, and any warrior who’s guarding your family will become a very powerful family guardian when they wear the set,” Walter suggested.
“Maybe you’re right. I don’t need to melt them. I’ll just enchant the pieces themselves.”
After that discussion, everyone examined the pieces of the mithril armor set, and Devon was asked to become a model and wear the mithril armor. But before that, Anton cleaned the whole set by using his cleaning spell.
That action made the whole set glitter as if every piece of it was some sort of crystal. When Devon wore it, he looked like an enchanted knight prince. He looked so handsome that the girl’s eyes glittered for a moment, but then again, everyone there knew Devon’s history with women, specifically regarding night women, so the interest was just for a second, and it was gone.
“It’s like you’re cosplaying as a knightly prince! If you wear elf ear prosthetics, you can be an elf prince, and you’ll surely win any costume contest,” Antons said.
“Then this will be my costume for the next cosplay event!” Devon laughed.
“Hey! Why you? I can wear it as well!” Frederick said.
“I think anyone can wear it, even the girls since the chainmail looked light enough and its fluidity will surely follow the wearer’s body type so the breast will definitely show, showing that the wearer is a female. Let’s do this. I will give a piece of paper to those who are interested in using this armor as their costume, then we’ll fold the paper and put it in a bucket, and Father will pick a random paper from the bucket; whoever he picks, the costume is his or hers,” Anton suggested.
No one was surprised when everyone joined, even the female bodyguards they hired. The only one who wasn’t allowed to join was Anna since her body was too young to pull off wearing the mithril armor set. Anton’s sister pouted the whole time while everyone was excitedly waiting for Anders to pick the paper that contained their name.
Everyone was surprised when it was Colin who won and the man wore a huge smile when Anders announced his name to the disappointment of everyone. Devon suddenly said that he would pay Colin a lot of coins to assign the armor set to him and of course, Antonia, Lucia, Walter, and Philip joined in and gave their bids. Due to how large their bids were, Devon wore an exasperated expression but all the bidding stopped when Anders proclaimed that the costume was Colin’s and the right to wear it couldn’t be sold.
Anton smiled when he kept hearing everyone refer to the mithril armor set as a costume. It was as if the armor set had become just a costume.
“When is the next cosplay event anyway?” Anton asked.
“When we reach our next stop, which is in less than two months,” Philip said.
“This time, we will stop there for two weeks. We will establish the cinema there and we will show the movies for the first week. We will choose two movies a day and the costume event will include all the characters of all the movies that we will show on the cinema on that place,” Antonia added.
“Are you not going to include all the movies that the passengers had already seen and were not chosen to be played on the next stop location?” Lunelle asked.
“We’re still thinking about. We still have time to decide on a lot of things since our next stop is still weeks away,” Lucia answered.
“Did you earn coins in the last event?” Nemina asked.
“Our main purpose when we held that even was for fun, but surprisingly, we and the ship’s merchants earned a huge amount of coins from the Norbunians. So the event this time will be more elaborate, and we will milk the citizens of our next stop dry,” Antonia said.
“It will not really hurt them since this is going to be one lifetime event for them especially now that there will probably no more ships coming in in the next few years,” Lucia commented.
