Everyone on the train got a notification informing them of what they shall do today. “Tomorrow, you will all go to a distant planet to get Trainer experience before actually doing the missions a more seasoned Trainer would do. For now, explore, mingle, and get to know the ins and outs of this train.”
Adam decided not to explore after seeing how large the train was in its entirety through the map on his wristwatch. He instead pursued his game collection and selected Skyrim for the Xbox 360 as his activity for today.
“You still use a console that came out 79 years ago?” May asked Adam as she looked at what he was playing. “Wouldn’t most people use the newest console? Actually, now that I think about it, we won’t be able to get new consoles up here, won’t we?”
“My dad said he played on this console when he was really little, and his dad played this too. I think the technology back then was still pretty decent by today’s standards.”
“Aren’t you going to go out and explore the train? How long have you been awake for? I just woke up, so I have an excuse on why I’m not out yet.”
“The train’s too big to be honest. I’m fine with not socializing, and it seems tiring to explore the train to its fullest, given its size.”
“Oh well, see you later I guess!” May said as she ran out of the room.
Adam played in the dorm for a few hours until May returned.
“That was fun!” She said as she sat down on the bunk. “There was this flat escalator thingy, the ones you would see in an airport. I rode one down this train cart made of some transparent material, although it was definitely not glass. Glass would’ve probably broken under the pressure of space, right? Actually, what do I know, I’m not an expert, hehe.”
“Wait, there were those flat escalator things?” Adam asked. “Alex was looking for those yesterday. Poor guy looked in the wrong place, I suppose.”
“Hey Adam, have you realized that we don’t get hungry or thirsty in any way? I haven’t eaten or drinken anything since arriving on this train. How odd.”
Adam thought about it for a second, and then he realized it too. He hasn’t felt signs of hunger or thirst since stepping onto the train. He didn’t even eat anything before coming on, and he still felt full.
“That’s extremely strange, why do you think that is?” Adam asked.
“How would I know?” May replied with a smirk.

Later in the day, everyone received a notification on their wristwatch, informing them of an area on the train they needed to be for an important announcement/presentation.
Adam and May set off for the train cart they were informed of, bumping into Alex once again as he jumped up and down in excitement after he found the flat escalator thing.
“Oh my god, guys I finally found the escalator you would see in airports! I can’t believe there’s an entire train cart dedicated to just riding an escalator through a glass train cart! And the fact that this was on the way there is just perfect.”
“Have you been staring at this for a while?” Adam asked Alex. “Shouldn’t you have ridden it down to the meeting area?”
“I could’ve, but I kind of was admiring it for a second. Look at the thing I was looking for yesterday. I had to truly become one with the esc-”
“Yea I’m going past you guys,” May cut Alex off as she stepped on the flat escalator. “See you slowpokes at the announcement!”
“Tomorrow is the day you’ll all get experience as a Trainer.” The woman in camouflage clothing announced. “What we mean by that is you’ll all be sent down to a planet where some of the locals require the help of Trainers. We haven’t really explained what Trainers do exactly, so we’ll do that now. Trainers go from planet to planet, helping out the people there, going on adventures, and then they head back up to the train. You’ll get paid for it of course, but you’ll also receive other rewards if you’d like. For example, we produce ammunition somewhere in the train, and if you complete a successful mission, you can claim some for your weapon of choice.
“Now, you’re probably wondering what we mean by missions, so we’ll explain that now. A mission could be investigating an issue in an area, doing jobs around an area, helping an area’s locals out, and more. For example, someone could get a mission where they have to help out some locals by going into a nearby cave and killing all of the hostile beings inside. Those hostile beings could be human, monster, beast, and yes monsters and beasts are real, just not on your planet. Funnily enough, your planet might be one of the most technologically advanced planets out there, but you also have the least amount of other stuff, like monsters, different race types, etcetera. You’ll all understand what I’m talking about more when you actually go down and do missions, so good luck tomorrow.”
Everyone headed back to their dorms except Alex, who proceeded to spend a bit more time riding the flat escalators.
