I am Eiren Vale, a typical high school student preparing for college admission. My current life consists of studying, eating, exercising, and pondering over the strange event that happened to me a few days back.

  A few days ago, I was heading home after hanging out with friends. It was evening, the light still lingering. That day, for reasons I still don’t understand, I took an unfamiliar path that led me to an uninhabited area. That’s when I noticed a pale glow coming from a field. Many thoughts started to race through my mind. Probably it was a man smoking or just a firefly. It was such a common thing that I usually never would get intrigued by, but that day, I don’t know what came over me. I followed the glow and saw a box the size of a palm glowing with a pale blue light. I could no longer hold in my curiosity. I opened it right then and there. Then, I saw a light like a firefly approach my forehead. Before I had time to react, it touched my forehead and disappeared.

  After that happened, it was like I was losing consciousness, and then I saw. A man adorned with ancient clothing, with a majestic look. He spoke in a dominating voice with the tone of a plea…

  “If you are reading this…

  Then we have failed.

  We failed to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and the Earth we called home. The heavens have turned against us. The Heavenly Will has begun its retaliation, and this world is now crumbling under its judgment.

  You may scoff.

  You may say, “Earth is fine.”

  But believe me, Earth has already been destroyed. Not once, but five times before this moment.

  In A month or two, you’ll understand.

  You don’t have much time. The Earth, you know, will change violently, irreversibly. Like a dream twisting into a nightmare.

  The pnet is about to awaken. The surface area will expand by 30.6%, and gravitational acceleration will rise to 11.2 m/s2. Massive translucent barriers will appear, shielding current cities and preserving old gravity — but only temporarily. Within ten years, even those barriers will fade.

  When that happens, most will perish. But not all…

  A new energy will flood the world — intangible, ancient, and alive.

  We called it ENA.

  It will nourish all things, reshape all life. It is the key. If you cultivate it — if you learn to harness its rhythm — you will rise beyond human limits. Strength, speed, senses... and even lifespan.

  With that, new beasts will emerge — powerful beyond reason. Against them, your firearms will be like throwing mud at a wall. No human will be able to resist without harnessing this energy.

  What we give you now are the methods, techniques, and knowledge we salvaged with the st of our strength. And with them, we leave you our final wish:

  Do not let humanity go extinct.

  This may be our st chance. There may be no next time.

  This is not a message.

  This is a grave.

  A grave filled with our hopes, our failures, and a single light: you.”
