"Nan, can you tell me that story again? The one about the nobles." Voldar looked at his nanny with keen eyes.
"Young master, I have told you that story more than a hundred times. What is so interesting about it that you want to listen to the same tale again and again?"
"Please Nan... Pleeeease....." Voldar's nanny, Miranda tried her best not to give in to the young man's demands but Voldar's beautiful demanding green eyes and the innocent look he had on his face made it impossible for Miranda not to give in. She ran her fingers through Voldar's velvety black hair.
"Alright young master I will tell you the story but you have to promise me that you will go to bed right after it ends." Voldar gave Miranda a mischievous smile.
The story began....
"After the division of Eldis, everyone was in a dual state of fear and confusion. Humanity was still adjusting to the newfound powers. Adventures to the Great Forest didn't start yet. There was a debate between the leaders of the world on how to use the new powers granted to humanity. That was when ideas about exploring the Great Forest started to emerge. People of different cultures banded together. They were led by seven individuals. Vistara, Mezanie, Rydam, Bojar, Morgan, Myzdar, and Ticrine. Before entering the Great Forest, immense training was needed. Training camps were established by the seven leaders and after a year of training, almost all of the explorers were prepared to enter the forest. They started their journey on the month of Visur."
Until now, Voldar was listening to the story, with extreme interest but as soon as Miranda started narrating the incidents that occurred in the forest, Voldar couldn't help but feel a chill down his spine.
"The Great Forest contained unknown plants, herbs, and animals, and of course the asuras. For the first few days, there were no sightings of the asuras. The explorers gathered various items from the forest so that they could research them when they return. Some of them even wanted to return back after a few days. But the leaders wanted to explore further. On the eleventh day, they spotted a horde of asuras. Given their new powers, the asuras seemed pretty weak to the explorers. Defeating them was an easy feat. But as they kept progressing deeper into the forest, they felt that the asuras were stronger and it became harder to defeat them. Many of the explorers wanted to turn back. They had neither the energy nor the strength left to fight more asuras. There is a saying that curiosity can be a friend as well as a foe. The leaders wanted to explore every corner of the forest. They kept a few willing explorers with them and allowed the others to return back to Hosontropia. No one heard from them nor was any contact made for three months. Suddenly on the month of Ased, a transmission was received from one of the leaders. They had explored every corner of the Great Forest and were returning to Hosontropia. Many people were waiting near the entrance of the forest. They were keen to see the leaders after so many days. But when the leaders finally came out of the dark half of Eldis, the people were shocked by their appearance. Vistara was missing an arm, Mezanie was fully covered in bandages, Rydam's face was disfigured beyond recognition, Bojar had his ears torn off, Morgan had an asura's hand sticking out of his left leg. Unfortunately Myzdar and Ticrine did not make it. The people gathered in front of them remained silent. They were in the worst condition. The crowd could almost feel the horrors of the forest just by looking at the leaders. But that's when the miracle happened. Five beams of light fell upon the wounded leaders. Their injuries started to heal. The crowd watched in awe as the scene unfolded in front of them. The leaders started to float towards the beam of light as, if something was pulling them. Then suddenly, they were dropped on the ground.

They remained senseless for two weeks. When they woke up, they felt a new power surging through their veins. After a slight confusion they realised that they've been blessed. The elemental Gods were moved by their perseverance and had granted them powers. Vistara was blessed by the God of Thunder, Denoz, Mezanie was blessed by the Goddess of Water, Juregal, Rydam was blessed by the God of Wind, Rusiof, Bojar was blessed by the Goddess of Terra, Elduior, and Morgan was blessed by the God of Fire, Belsec. Although the leaders had mixed feelings about their new powers, they saw noticable but advantageous changes in their spiritiz control. They made generous contributions for the welfare of humanity. The leaders created the map of the Great Forest and divided it into three sections. The first section was the safest. There were no asuras in that part of the forest. The second section was for experienced explorers. That part of the forest had a good concentration of asuras. Lastly the third section, the most dangerous of them all. Only Apostles were allowed to explore that part of the forest. That part was at the centre of the forest. There were some highly evolved asuras roaming in that area. The maps proved to be of great help to the explorers. The leaders who had become Apostles, founded an institution to train the young adults in various arts of spiritiz. They named the institution after their fallen comrades, Myztic. Bojar, with his Apostle powers, constructed the statues of Myzdar and Ticrine in front of the entrance of the institution. The five Apostles were given the title of Nobles and most of the Apostles today, mainly emerge from the noble families. But there are exceptions. Like the new Apostle of Light, Lady Hilene. She used to be a commoner but her empathetic nature towards the living caught the attention of the Goddess of Light, Filda. She was blessed during one of her healing sessions and it caused a huge commotion in the spiritiz community."
Miranda turned towards Voldar. He was listening with his eyes half closed.
"Alright now young master, time to explore the world of dreams. Here, let me tuck you in." Miranda whispered in a soft voice.
Miranda put Voldar to bed and stayed in his room for a while. She was about to leave when Voldar called out to her lightly. " Nan, will you tell me about the Gods tomorrow?"
Miranda patted his head softly. "Sure young master." She whispered.
Miranda left Voldar's room quietly. She turned towards the main hall from the corridor and encountered Volzen.
"Good evening Grandmaster." Miranda politely bowed her head as she greeted the master of the house."
Volzen was one of the Nobles of the present, descendant of Vistara. His combat prowess was well known throughout Hosontropia. He was one of the nobles of the Crutof region. Volzen had three sons. The eldest, Draz, was the Apostle of Thunder. The second son, Voned, was an assistant professor at Myztic. Lastly the youngest, Voldar, was a student at an academy for nobles in Crutof. According to Volzen, his youngest was a good for nothing as Voldar's spiritiz control was worse than that of a commoner.
"You are Voldar's caretaker, aren't you?" Volzen replied to Miranda's greeting, in a stern voice.
"Yes sir, I am." Miranda replied, keeping steady.
"Make sure that brat doesn't cause any trouble tomorrow at the gathering of Nobles." Volzen didn't even bother to look into Miranda's eyes. He took off as soon as he finished talking. Miranda didn't get a chance to reply.
"Oh, poor child." Miranda whispered to herself.
