The Fool Pathway – Upright and Reversed

The Seer believes the divination isn't all-powerful, it is a guide of fate and divining is finding that guide, and they be that guide.

The upright way of acting is to change people's fates by interpreting their fates and changing them for the better. This is what Klein does.

The reversed way of acting is to guide based on self-interest, not necessarily bringing change for other but centralizing on yourself, whether it's beneficial for yourself is what important for you to guide people into changing fates.

The Seer also believes that they can't control fate and can only catch glimpses of it, therefore it must be revered as fate shows them only what they should see, for that is fate in itself.

The upright way is to respect intuition and signs given by fate, revering it by following it's signs, being guided and not over reliant on it. Klein does it.

The reversed way is to fear fate, as you cannot control it, it would be better to be prepared with what you can. If this reversed way of thinking would be put into action Klein would have fled Tingen before the descent of the True Creator's spawn.

The Clown believes that discerning yourself is key to navigate your life and fate.

The upright way is to discern your true self and know what your inner self want to do, making it easier to find the direction in which you want to turn your fate.

The reversed way is to discern to your interests, while you discern an evil aspect of yourself, you are not able to reconcile with the better parts of yourself, leaving only what matters, at least in term of keeping your humanity. After all, Klein could have already left for his new life, but he still gave parting flowers to the Moretti siblings.

I feel like I'm slowly ripping down every emotional part of the Fool's journey to show how contrasting the upright and reversed ways of acting are...

I feel horrified by the thought that Klein could have done things differently...

The Clown believes that they should influence other's fates by hiding themselves and showing themselves as one that can change others.

Just like before, the upright way is for the Clown to make people ugh, for the interest of others is the smile of the Clown.

The reversed way is to smile for the camera, for yourself, and for your interests. To have the st ugh in society you must cry. Society, batman. Want society to see something? Show it in your face, Joker.

The Magician believes in the art of misdirection and making people believe in what they want them to.

The upright way is to perform with the people in mind, using misdirection on them by performing act geared towards them, taking into consideration of the audience and what to perform to make them believe. Klein does this well, understanding the psyche of his enemies sometimes, like

The reversed way is to perform with the self in mind, using misdirection on them by performing many acts in your arsenal, taking into consideration what you need and preparing as much as possible to deceive the audience you find. This is the Magician in Volume 1, he was hunted down but he prepared so much, unfortunately, he couldn't account for Klein Moretti's Sefirah Castle nor for Leonard's old man. He was prepared, very prepared for any situation and with all the acts of misdirection, but can't make up if the act fails to the audience.

This does not mean the upright way is safe, as Klein can't account for an audience or factor out of his consideration of his performance act.

The Magician believes in the preparation and performance an act of 'true magic', taking away the attention of the people.

The upright way is construct counterfeit magic to misdirect and take away the audience with what seems like 'true magic', even if it is full of holes, it's magic to the audience who sees. The upright way truly banks on a bit of recklessness and risk-taking on their part, but that is the essence of the right way of acting.

The reversed way is to concentrate on the perfection of 'true magic' making it look like a fool-proof act of 'true magic' no matter who sees it.

What's this? It feels like something between a street magician performing for the audience and a magician perfecting his performance and craft.

The Faceless believes in making a mark on their fate in the spirit world by discerning their self identity.

The upright way of discerning your self identity is by learning that it's multifaceted and parts of a whole, every identity you don and take become another part of you and changes you. Klein accepted Gehrman as part of him.

The reversed way of discerning yourself is to throw away anything that is not you. Making clear what you are and what you are not, not accepting things as part of you and rejecting change. Adam questioned why Klein didn't think Gehrman as human?

Klein could have rejected Gehrman as not being part of him and eliminated him from becoming a growing split personality like he did with alter Klein. As Klein said, it could become trouble for him ter on as someone who follows an upright way. If someone has a different perspective, then they can take the reversed way of acting.

The Faceless believes in influencing others, identities like them , by creating personas and affecting them.

The upright way is to make an identity yourself and influence others, making it geared towards others. If you ever take someone's identity, be responsible for it... wait this something for the Error Pathway-

The reversed way is to make and throw away identities like clothes. If you pose as someone else, you may act as them and when your remember yourself, you can leave that life behind... now where did I read that before? Klein?

The Marionettist believes in solidifying the roles of their marionettes, making their mark in the spirit work and also their persona in the Real World.

The upright way would be to direct and guide their marionettes to influence using their roles. Taking control of roles that need controlling for change. Seems alright, then what's the reversed?

The reversed way would be to directly take control of the leading roles to influence the whole stage. For the upright, it doesn't have to be them, but for the reversed, the efficient way to lurk through the ones with the most fate and influence. digesting even faster than upright acting would.

The Marionettist believes in being behind the curtains, directing their own scripts and overwriting the script of fate, even controlling those they don't control directly in their fingers.

The upright way is to use their marionette's roles, influence, and strengths to direct the pys, influence people, and change the act.

The reversed way is to prepare for the great act, not for the people, but to make it grand for yourself, you only care to change fate, not on what it would do to the actors, for they are disposable. Hey it's not like you're part of the show, you just have to direct a new py if it's not your cup of tea.

The Bizarro Sorcerer believes in making the 'I' a mysterious and bizarre existence, a figure comparable to myth, tales, and legends.

The difference between the two acting is whether yourself into a scary tale or a revered myth, the upright can also be scary if their existence is meant to be a deterrent for people to follow while the reversed way can also be a revered myth that demands subservience.

The Bizarro Sorcerer believes in orchestrating bizarre phenomena to be inexplicable and weird, turning them into tales of fantasy and mystery.

The upright way would make legends that engage change in the people, giving it more impact to them in their hearts, making it more 'fantastical' and 'magical' in their eyes.

The reversed way is make myths of mystery and horror, making people afraid to discover or unable to find the origins of such myth.

The Schor of Yore believes in holding the histories of their era and records of it's past and future, embodying antiquity.

The upright way is to pry through the mystery of history and restoring them in the present time. A benevolent schor

The reversed way is to change people's history, veiling it in even more fog, only for you to hold it's secrets within you. A malicious schor but a schor nonetheless, they do restore history but twist it to their liking.

The Schor of Yore believes in the irreversibility of the past, and how they can affect the future, and how they can in turn change the future.

The upright way is to rete from the past and change the future, knowing how to act on the present it based on the mistakes of the past.

The reversed way is to take examples of the past and repeat it in the future, implementing that history always repeats itself, this is also change, and very malicious, in that the present era will never learn and will be trapped in this haunting mystery.

The Miracle Invoker believes in being someone who grants the impossible.

The upright way is to act more as a human who grants the impossible to people, overturning their expectation.

The reversed way is to act more as an eldritch god who is capable of the impossible, but only grants wishes within 'Their' preference, making people wonder whether their wish will really be possible. It's a sinister method that is within the bounds of looking like 'They' can grant the impossible.

The Miracle Invoker also believes making miracles that may st a moment but can change fate, a long sting effect.

The upright way is to care for fates of the people. Changing it with their fates in mind, it doesn't necessarily have miracles that bring good to them if it makes them better.

The reversed way is to create several miracles, changing many fates over again and again, this one does not care about other people's fates. 'They' can also grant people's wishes maliciously.

The Attendant of Mysteries believe in managing a mystery and developing it convoluted and full of yers, grafting it and making it part of the world.

The upright way is to make people marvel and wonder at the mystery made by the Attendant of Mysteries, making it cleanly mysterious, like the mystery of the space and the mystery of the unreachable trenches, both feared and yet calling for people to come closer and discover the secrets within.

The reversed way is to terrorize the people in fear and confusion as the Attendant of Mysteries graft mysteries into their world, where they want to escape the mystery but cannot solve it.

The Attendant of Mysteries believe in discovering and solving the mysteries of the world and allowing 'Themselves' to create and have a grander understand of mysteries.

The upright way is to discover the great wonders and mysteries and paving the way for humanity to touch upon them, having them wonder at the great mysteries of the world.

The reversed way is to take these wonders 'They' find and twist and change these into unfathomable mysteries, making people fearful of them, plus points if these mysteries chase after people. Imagine the Bermuda Triangle were to come to life...

The Fool believes in being a Fool that's not a fool.

The upright way is to py the fool and yet controlling and orchestrating everything in the background, a benevolent Fool that learns of everyone's plights and fate, not ignorant of them like a fool would.

The reversed way is to be a Fool that cannot be read, whose machination and control y hidden beneath a fog of mystery that no one can see. 'Their' thoughts of change cannot be discerned and everyone's fates y in 'Their' hands, fools in puppet strings.

The Fool believes in making a mystery of a new world.

The upright way is to bring about an era of wonders, miracles, and legends.

The reversed way is to drown the world in mystery, twisted tales, and rediscovery.
