While Jeff was pleased with his new pet frogs, Harper was laying on Jo’s sofa. He was still trying to relax from his ordeal after losing Jester.
“Oh Jester, Jester, Jester, Jester where are you?” sighed Harper.
Harper didn’t know the teens who took Jester from his pond, he just knew that the frog he loved so much was now gone. Jo was on the phone with his girlfriend Hailey. Hailey knew Jeff’s teacher from school and knew something was fishy with her nephew.
“Wait, are you saying your nephew got a few frogs from the pond with his two friends?” asked Jo.
“Yes, that’s what my brother Erik stated to me over the phone,” said Hailey.
Hailey was especially concern for the safety of the frogs, how they were acquired. This was good news for Harper who was missing Jester so dearly.
“I have to tell Harper when he wakes up, thank you sister,” said Jo.
Jo soon hangs up and soon approaches the sofa. He could see that Harper was still quite depressed.
“Where could Jester be?” asked Harper to himself.

“Harper, you’re not going to believe this, but I think I know who the teens who picked up Jester are,” said Jo.
Harper rose from the sofa; a glimmer of hope was in him.
“Really, Jester is out there?” asked Harper.
“Yes, yes he is” added Jo, “and we can take him back to the pond he came from.”
“I don’t know, I know we’re breaking the rules in being naturalists but the wild is just too crazy for Jester” sighed Harper.
Jo thought of other possible solutions.
“I know what we can do, we can donate Jester to the local zoo, they’ll take great care of him, and you get to see him every day,” said Jo.
“That sounds like a lovely plan Jo,” said Harper.
Harper soon got up and started to prepare for his reunion with Jester. Jester, in the meantime, was still trying to adjust to his new settings. The rival male frog didn’t like Jester too much and was Jeff’s second favorite frog. Jeff was trying to think of some names for the frogs, he had a deck of cards out. Lucky for Jester, he got to keep his name since Jeff pulled up a joker card.
“I know what to call you – Jester” said Jeff, “you’ll like that name.”
Jester croaked with joy; he was pleased he got to keep the same name that the human naturalist gave to him earlier. Jeff then leaned over to the container to the rival male frog. He then pulled out a Black Knight card.
“I know what to call you, you’ll be known as the Black Knight,” said Jeff.
The Black Knight frog gazed at Jester; he didn’t take it too kindly to have another male frog in his territory. Jeff then focused on the lone female frog.
“You’ll be called the Red Queen,” said Jeff.
It was a fitting name – the Red Queen for the lone female frog caught in between two rival males. If a frog could smile, the Red Queen would smile upon that name right now. She scampered to the corner and watched the Black Knight fight poor Jester. Jeff watched with amusement unaware the naturalists were on their way to pick up Jester. Erik was waiting for them in the living room.
