The Teaching

“You have Godblaster…” said Unter, as Miguel warps out his blaster and places it into his hand.

“Yes. This is who I like to call, Narda…” Miguel smirked, sporting the gun as if it’s an extension of his body, waving it around and pointing it at random objects like a rock or a desolate building in the distance.

“Ah… Yes. Very… Cultural, yes?” smiled Unter. “Technique is good. Technique good. Yes.”

“What is the technique, sir?” asked Miguel.

“There are only one technique… Eradicator’s and Unbreakable’s powers strong. One unstoppable. Other immovable. Eradicator’s blasts are known as Juggernaut Eradicators. Wipe out anything in path.”

“Huh… Unstoppable. Like Juggernaut. Or Ezra Miller!”

“Exactly,” said Unter. “Now. Warp your blaster… away…“

  “Huh!?” asked Miguel.

  “You have Probability Sense?”

“Yeah… Prometheus tried teaching me for years… Didn’t get it until Beatle taught me the proper basics.”

“You can stop them… by entering mind…”

“Huh? With what? Fungus? A virus?! A laser light!?”

“Faith. You can control minds… but that isn’t recommended… I should know… Do you have… Eyes of Lightning?”

Miguel nods with some form of concern and confusion in his look. “Yes…”

“Did you know… the brain… made of thing called neuron… You could control each… Flex their body parts as you wish… Just a little bit… Flexing their muscles to move for the better. To make them do what you want… Since they are unbreakable or unstoppable… But if you get in head...”

  “Huh…” said Miguel, smiling.

  That evening…

Myrmex sighs, typing into her computer.

Miguel is asleep, resting his head on the table.

Myrmex studies hard for her future examination online.

  “Anna…?” asked Miguel.

Myrmex is a bit saddened but regardless, she places a blanket over Miguel.

“Miguel Azral. 26. Basille Sisa. 29,” said America Ninjaheim. “The two most dangerous Superheroes on Multiverse. Why are we allowing them to stay here?” America Ninjaheim headbutted with Bluford, who merely grumbled.

If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

“Easy, boy… We need them to destroy Eradicator. Only an Aswang is strong enough to be able to stand against Unbreakable.”

“His mind… is shattered. Strange. Broken. Why must we fight for and with an animal like him?” asked America, looking at Miguel with disgust.

“To survive. Best thing we could do in this world is to survive and keep fighting…” said Bluford.

Miguel smiles and uses Eyes of Lightning instead to communicate with a squirrel. He stares at the squirrel, smiling while the small mutated squirrel just stares at him. The squirrel smiles and gives him a mutant nut, and Miguel smiles, taking it while Miguel gives the squirrel an acorn.

The squirrel smiles and scampers away.

Unter smirks. “Good… Now… You may move on.”

“Wait. That’s it? That was easy…” said Miguel, looking confused. “Too easy.”

“Well… They say in the legend of the Batman that he was cast as a stone into the darkness when his parents were killed, yes? That is what you must do…”

  The sun begins to set.

Miguel turns to see that Unter is gone.

Miguel realizes he’s seven kilometer away from Akteon.

Miguel grumbles and runs toward the pentagon-shaped city.

Miguel begins hearing crickets… smelling various smells and pheromones that endanger his senses.

Miguel begins to hear the snow beginning to envelope his senses. The blowing wind began blinding every sense he has, terrifying Miguel, hearing nothing but white noise. White noise… Suddenly, Miguel… feels at peace… He hears nothing… smells nothing… He’s free…

Miguel smiles, keeping his body warm with heat, but then…

A wild dire wolf pack began prowling toward him.

Miguel turns into an Aswang and tries reasoning with them, but hears their thoughts that they are starving. Miguel stares at them, trying to tell them to back off, since he doesn’t wanna kill them. They growl and pounce at him, so Miguel is forced to dropkick one wolf and snap the other’s neck. The Dire Wolves howl and begin gnawing on his arm. Miguel roars and divides his arm from his body, before biting one Dire Wolf in the neck. Miguel growls and chews on its neck, killing it.

The Dire Wolves growl while Miguel reattaches his arm on his shoulder. Miguel pushes the ground with his hand and kicks another with both his feet, snapping its neck. One Dire Wolf gnaws his shoulder, causing Miguel to scream as he proceeds to yell “SMOKER’S LUNG!!!“ burning the wolf’s breath, killing it.

Miguel, beaten, bruised, and bleeding, drips blood from his mouth while blood paints the snow red. He growls as the biggest, whitest dire woff looms over Miguel, who immediately holds his fists up. His eyes go blue, thinking if he should go Diwata State, but shakes his head and powers down, going back to his Aswang state, snarling at the Dire Wolf. The Dire Wolf bites at Miguel who weaves away from the bite. Miguel beats the Dire Wolf’s face but the Dire Wolf tanks his hit and bites his leg, dragging him across the snow.

Miguel roars as he proceeds to enter the wolf’s mind, who angrily and aggressively shakes its head, backing away. The Dire Wolf snarls and growls, and began whimpering. Miguel began to cry, realizing the pain he’s causing it, ahd he lets go, as the Dire Wolf scampers away.

Miguel falls to his knees, looking at his own hands. “Shit…”

Upon reaching the palace, the doors close, and he meets Unter right at the doorstep.

Unter is happily drinking ginger ale and gives a warm grin. “You… understand now the power you have?”

Miguel, looking very much traumatized with bags under his eyes and eyes quivering, staring blankly into space, slowly nods.

“Good,” said Unter, before turning around and walking away with his cape swaying in th wind. “Now, you’d know what is right or wrong way to use power…”

Miguel looks up, concerned. “That was a test AND a training session!?”

“You have mastered your power. Use it wisely, Aswang Prince.”
