THE AKP DIARIES
Long, ago, in the prospering continent of Gihen, five great nations bearing inhuman abilities waged war against one another in hopes of conquering the nd. The conflict between these five nations would st for centuries, being dubbed the Quint War.
The Quint War was a vile period that brought about the darkest era of humanity. Millions of lives were lost, miles of nd decimated. One could think it typical as war was not a foreign concept, but the sheer brutality of the way it was executed... To call it inhumane would be an understatement.
The worst victim of the war was undoubtedly the isnd of Lavia, an unwilling participant. After being colonized by the Kingdom of Esper, the isnd's resources were spent and the nation abandoned, left to its own devices. Freedom after decades of colonization sounded like a miracle, though the worst was yet to come.
Shortly after Lavia's colonizers left, demons suddenly appeared in the norther portion, ravaging the already spent isnd. They sughtered everything in sight, be it animal, pnt, infrastructure or human. No expnation of their origin was ever given, and the Lavians were forced to accept their cruel fates, isoting themselves in the southern portion of the country...
...Until one day, they decided enough was enough.
A group of brave, daring individuals took matters to their own hands by forming the demon hunting organization known as Paldium. With the concrete goal of purging every st demon from their nd, Paldium set out north to start their monumental task.
Supporting Paldium's endeavors was Eternal Drive, a pharmaceutical company. Working hand-in-hand, Paldium would ship corpses of demons to Eternal Drive for inspection and deduction of their biological weaknesses. Eternal Drive, however, proposed a different goal - The Demediom Project. By combining the genes of a human with a demon, demedioms were created to make up Paldium - superhumans who possessed the traits of the demons they were enhanced with. "Fight fire with fire," they said.
The Demediom Project was a massive success, yielding fruitful results. Demons were easily falling prey to demedioms, and things looked bright for the future of Lavia. Seeing their success, Eternal Drive continued to expand beyond demedioms. The company would take advantage of the genetic mutations, advancing Lavia's technology to heights humanity had never seen.
This brand new, advanced technology took a hold over the entire country. From being severely weakened by the Quint War, to now a prospering utopia, Lavia was finally reciming itself. Eternal Drive would expand, and expand, and expand... Before anyone knew it, Eternal Drive evolved into an extremely powerful megacorporation, one even the likes of Paldium could not touch.
And with a tool as powerful comes corruption and irresponsibility. Monopolization grew rampant and any who dared to oppose were quickly crushed under the weight of oligarchic capitalism.
Of course, things were to good to be true. As if rampaging demons weren't enough, the sheer wickedness of humanity just had to intervene. For far too long, Lavia has faced injustice. The once prospering utopia was corrupted into a dystopia.
And at the root of it all... Eternal Drive's chief executive officer, pioneer of the demediom project, self-made billionaire - Damon Estreval.
ESTREVAL MUST DIE
AUTHOR'S NOTEIt all began here, in the heart of a ruined nd desperate to save itself.
All because five nations thought it prudent to involve the rest of the world in their war.
