They gave me a choice. Well, Headmistress Serolith did anyhow. I could use an old/obsolete model that Letheros had in storage, (because instead of being androids, like the kind I could pupet), they are golems. A fusion of magic and machine. Magitek they called it. Or, have a new one built.

  I took the old one, due to a simplified plan I have emplaced. I needed to build my own body. I would have to do it manually, piece by piece, likely by 3D manufacturing. I would need a building, a house at least, with power generation...

  But I'm getting ahead of myself. While my core was safe, I had to get citizenship, a bank account, and scout the local area.

  The first two were easier, as it was simply Bureaucracy. Time consuming bureaucracy. It took 3 days. I had the remaining 3 to scout.

  The first day I spent around the school. The school was large and on the north side of the city. The school was called Artioc University, named after the city itself. Simplistic, but good in my opinion.

  The school was a generalist in all aspects. There were 4 other schools on this continent, 1 other generalist, 1 military, one Civil service, and one religious. But, that was besides the point.

  Due to this nation's full continent control, the 5 schools were funded to the extreme. Ours was led by Serolith, the idealist. She focused on broad focused admittance along with less strict standards. This lead to me finding numerous security flaws throughout the facility grounds. I would be reporting them, along with any person I saw.

  The second day I spent looking for a residence. I was getting paid, and had gotten an advance. I found a shabby 1 story house with a deep basement in the port district. The space port specifically.

  The nation, The Derria Republic, was in a space race with the other nations of this world. To access space, there was a portal, almost like a man portable slip space drive or something. I will need to research that.

  Anyhow, I bought the cheap place, and now to my final task. Finding a not insignificant income stream. By the time of the third day, I found nothing. No matter.

  Days were 30 hours, 6 days a week, 15 months per year. I had time.

  To do list: Find income stream (major)

  Find raw/processed resource stream (iron, steel, chemicals, so on)

  Fortify workplace and house

  Research more about situation, portals, etc.
