"Remember, you are free to assist in any class you feel like, just inform the presiding teacher first, and me." Headmistress Serolith said.

"I understand Headmistress. I can not forget." I say sardonicly. She was making sure I understood, I will not begrudge clarification.

"I plan to sit in with class one this day." I say. There were 8 classes, each focused on separate things in the school. Class one was focused on history and the like. I was hoping to leaf through any books they used in the class to broaden my base knowledge of the world.

"Ok, that's fine. Are you going to stick with them the whole day?" She asks. I nod in confirmation. "Ok, I have you noted down. Good day, Keri." I nod again, and exit the office. It was 8am, classes began at 9, and ended at 3pm.

I headed to the classroom early to maximize my time. When I entered, the teacher was already there. He was small, 3ft tall, green and had red eyes.

A goblin? They were typically portrayed as monstrous. Hmmmm. Re-evaluation of data required. Later, now as the time for introductions.

"Good morning professor Cherkok. I am Designation: Keri, for the time we will be working together. Do you have introductions/requests/inquiries for me?" I ask.

If you spot this narrative on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

"Just a notice. The first week is set up typically. We use it as a buffer, and few assignments will be put out to the students. You will have little work. When you are not called to assist, I don't care what you do, just don't leave the class. Got it?" He asks.

I nod. "Do you have the corse material on hand so I may study what occurs in this class? Textbooks, computers for research, the like?" I ask.

He looks confused when I say computer, but just shakes his head and points to a side cupboard. "In there." He states, and goes back to his desk.

I thank him, and walk to the cupboard. Inside, Textbooks of dry, overlong information lay within, from the basics to more complex topics. I grab one of each and head to the back of class.

I began reading, only pausing when the students came in. There were 45 of them. They were a mix of races, some of which were commonly depicted in fantasy media as 'monsters'.

Previous assumptions will need to be tossed it seems. The professor wasn't an edge case. No matter. The books would likely clarify things. Hell, they were already.

It turns out that all of the species that I've seen were found on planet. An interesting bit of information continues, that the races were once all fighting for survival, and have changed much from their pre merge counterparts.

I spent the rest of the day there, in the back. I was given the option to leave for lunch, and had to point out that I couldn't eat. So, I continued reading.

At the end of the day, I bid Farwell to the professor, and left. On the way out of school grounds, I heard an interesting thing. Apparently, one of the local casinos was having a large event, with an even larger jackpot there in.

An interesting premise. This might be a good first step. It took place in 2 days. Hm, I will need some money first, why not go and get some from the very place I plan to fleece?
