Chapter 10: Third trial

Jalen immediately rushed toward Mark and raised his fist to hit him. Mark instinctively resisted, and soon the two of them were wrestling together. However, to Castor, it seemed as if they were in love, hugging each other tightly.

"Looks like they have a good relationship..." Castor whispered, and suddenly noticed that Captain Raigh was also lying on the floor beside him.

"Captain? Wake up." He said softly, gently shaking him with his hand.

Seeing that the captain showed no sign of waking up, he shook harder. The captain also groaned at this time, and then slowly opened his eyes and saw his adopted son shaking him.

"Castor...?" Captain Raigh sat up and glanced around, and also found himself having a white polo tied on him like a bandage, "Are we still alive?"

"Yes, we're still alive..." Castor replied and withdrew his hands, and handed Captain Raigh's coat to him.

Hearing this, Captain Raigh was stunned for a few seconds and then suddenly hugged Castor tightly. Castor calmly tilted his head aside and tried to breathe, otherwise, he would suffocate.

"Is the captain also like a boy...?" Castor asked in his mind.

"How about you? Are you okay? You were bleeding that time..." Captain Raigh lessened his power and looked at Castor's face, "These black blood traces... at least you're not bleeding now."

"I felt my body was light and kinda dizzy." Castor replied, his face now looking pale.

"It's all my fault... I'm useless..." Captain Raigh lowered his head and sighed, "You slayed those two giants?"

"Yes." Castor nodded, "It's okay, this is not your fault, Captain. Here, your coat, wear it."

"Haha... thanks, and you're still calling me Captain? I thought you were going to call me dad now." He wore the coat, laughed bitterly, and looked at Castor, "Will you call me, Dad?"

This time, it was Castor's turn to be stunned for a few seconds. Before leaving the island, his mother had asked him to find his father. But now he knew that the person in front of him was not his father, and he had no concept of an adoptive father, so he was hesitant.

"You... you will become my second dad! So... uh... hello, Dad." Castor said.

"Haha... okay, my adoptive son... I will be your second Dad." Captain Raigh smiled with relief.

"Oh, by the way, I have things I need to say." Castor whispered in Captain Raigh's ears, "I think Sir Mark and Sir Jalen love each other..."

"...Huh?" Captain Raigh widened his eyes and turned his head. A scene of Mark fighting Jalen appeared in his eyes, "I think you're just overthinking..."

"But they almost kiss each other, because I woke up so suddenly, so they stopped..." Castor swore, his eyes were so steady that even Captain Raigh started to doubt.

This is Jalen and Mark finishing their fight and finding the captain awake, so they walked over. Although they were fighting and quarreling just now, it was not a real fight, so there are no wounds.

"Hey! Captain! Mark wants to violate your son!" Jalen shouted and then turned his head to Mark with a wicked grin.

"Oh?" Captain Raigh's eyes changed instantly, the eyes filled with a lethal aura and burning with anger. He rose slowly and walked towards Mark.

"Wait! I never thought of violating him!" Mark raised his hands and shouted, "He is slandering me! You should know that I don't like boys!"

"And slandering other pirate members is an act of unloyal to our pirate team! Captain, you should do something." Mark added.

"Heh! Slander?! You almost kissed Castor!" Jalen retorted.

Then the two had another argument, and finally, the captain put his hands on their shoulders and said viciously.

"Stop arguing, why don't I just kill you all?" He smiled with an unkind look.

"Ahem! Oh yeah, Captain, Bob and Frank go out already." Jalen changed the topic quickly.

"Go out? Go to where?" Captain Raigh withdrew his hands and asked with a frown.

"To the next area, they want to check what the pattern is on the stone door to guess what the next trial is." Mark explained, "Because you and Castor fainted so some of us wait here."

Then Castor came over, he raised his head and said, "Now we've woken up already, let's go?"

"Yeah, let's go." Captain Raigh nodded, " We need to be fast, who knows if the next trial is dangerous or not?"

"Ugh, well, we can go, but you guys are sure that you are good? Doesn't feel any discomfort?" Jalen asked with concern.

"Yes." Captain Raigh and Castor said in unison.

"Well, let's go." Mark nodded and called all the pirates, "Hey! Boys! Let's go now! We have to move!"

Every pirate agreed in unison and then gathered at the exit to wait for the four of them. When everyone was present, they set out to the next trial room and Castor walked at the end, looking at the other stone door through which they entered this trial.

"That shadow doesn't done yet...?" Castor asked in his mind and then walked towards the exit, following everyone quickly.

This road is the same as the previous one, with glowing stones lighting the way ahead. Halfway through, the same old map appeared. Judging from the map, they are now heading to the third trial.

"Everyone, get ready..." Captain Raigh said. On the second trial, they almost died, but fortunately, Castor saved them. But what if the next trial was more dangerous than the second?

"Don't worry, Captain Raigh, we all get ready to face death!" A pirate said with a sunny smile.

Captain Raigh said nothing but nodded and continued to lead the crowd forward. At this time, a group of people appeared opposite them, Bob and Frank. It seemed that they were turning back.

"Hah, look who's there... our Captain and little savior has woken up!" Frank said with a smile.

"Yo! Captain! Castor! You guys are fine?" Bob shouted and ran to them.

"Yes, we are fine." Captain Raigh said, "What pattern is on the stone door?"

"It's... an eye." Frank replied, "It is not a normal eye."

"Eye..." Captain Raigh narrowed. He had guessed some possibilities.

"Eye?" Castor asked in his mind, and many thoughts of evil eyes like the eyes of Medusa.

As Castor continued to think, everyone slowly walked to the stone door. There was an eye pattern on the stone door, with a vertical pupil.

"Here it is... will there be Medusa behind this door?" Castor thought in his mind.

Bob and Frank stepped forward and touched the stone door. Then the stone door slowly fell down and opened the entrance to the next trial.

But the space inside confused everyone, because there was nothing inside, just a blue empty space. What's even more strange is that there doesn't seem to be any light source here, but the space inside is bright.

"Huh, what's wrong here?" Bob frowned and didn't step inside.

"It's an eye pattern... but what's this...? Empty space? Let me check." Frank also frowned, but he stepped inside slowly and carefully

He decided to try it as a bait to see if he could catch some big fish here, but nothing happened until he went all over the place.

But this also made Frank more and more afraid. He took a deep breath and tried to hypnotize himself that maybe there was really nothing here.

"N-nothings here!" Frank yelled loudly to them.

"Frank! Check the stone door! There might be something!" Captain Raigh yelled in a rough voice but suddenly felt something in his throat, "Cough, cough..."

"Dad, you sure you're good?" Castor asked.

"Haha... yeah." Captain Raigh chuckled and grinned.

At this time, Frank's voice came from a distance.

"There is nothing on the stone door! It's flat!" He yelled again and ran towards them.

"Maybe is a safe zone?" Bob narrowed, "Captain, how do you think?"

"Whether it is or not, we still have to go." Captain Raigh sighed, "We don't have other way."

"Yes, if there is any monster again, I will just take my dad's cutlass and kill them." Castor said calmly and stepped into the blue empty space.

"We are pirates that always wandering around death, but now we are getting protected by a little boy... how unbelievable..." Jalen sighed and also entered the space,

"If other pirate groups heard us, they would definitely laugh at us." Captain Raigh said helplessly and entered with Jalen.

  "Everyone, get in." He added.

After hearing the order, the pirates entered one after another. Captain Raigh walked towards Frank and talked to him.

"Although it's not nice to say this, next time don't go out and act as bait yourself, just let the other crew members do it." Captain Raigh explained, "There is a reason why your position is higher than theirs, so cherish your life."

"Okay, understood." Frank replied lightly, and after this, Captain Raigh went towards Castor.

"Castor!" Captain Raigh called him with a wide grin, "Are you hungry?"

Castor was sitting on the ground thinking about the shadow when his thoughts were interrupted by the captain. He looked up at the captain and saw him taking a piece of bread wrapped in cloth from his trouser pocket.

"Do you want to eat?" He asked kindly.

"No thanks, ugh, I don't need to eat, I have my curse." Castor explained.

"Ah... sorry, I forgot. But your curse doesn't allow you to eat? Or you just don't need to eat to stay alive?" Captain Raigh sat down and asked.
