Chapter 12: Solution Of Third Trial

Castor turned around and saw that the captain had killed one of his pirate members because of an illusion. That man's life left the world as the captain took back the cutlass.

"Sir Diego, are you okay? We need to hurry up." Castor asked calmly, as if he were unaware of the dead pirate.

"Agh! Yes! I caught him!" Diego shouted as he caught Kyle successfully, making him unable to move, "Come here, Castor! I don't know why it doesn't work when I slap him!"

Castor frowned when he heard this, but there was no time to think. He walked quickly towards Kyle, who was caught by Diego, and raised his palm.

As the slap landed on Kyle's face, his cheeks, which were originally red on one side, turned red on both sides. Then his eyes changed from anger to confusion and then to surprise.

"Castor?" Kyle asked, his eyes filled with surprise and confusion, "Hm? Diego?! Wait, what's happening? Why did the monster disappear, and you two appear?"

"Ugh, it seems we all fall into the illusion? I don't know too much, but Castor seems to be the first one who wake up." Diego explained, but was also unsure of what situation they fell into.

"Castor, you know what happened?" Diego asked and rose as he wiped the blood from his nose with the back of his hand.

Castor shook his head to indicate that he didn't know, but his brows seemed to be tied together. He kept thinking about what the opportunity was that made these people who were trapped in the illusion wake up.

"Is it pain? This doesn't make sense... I can't be any stronger than a pirate." Castor thought, "And why don't I fall into the illusion?"

All these strange things made Castor feel that his brain was not enough. For now, he didn't need to think about why he didn't fall into the illusion. The most important thing was how to wake people up.

If pain wasn't the key to waking them up, then it must have been something else that he had yet to realize. This left the road ahead shrouded in uncertainty. Without realizing what that something else was, he couldn't be confident about successfully waking the person trapped in the illusion next time.

"Hello? Castor? Hello? You there?" Diego shook his hand in front of Castor's eyes.

"What are you thinking? We need to wake up everyone quickly." Kyle asked anxiously, "Say it, maybe we can answer you."

"I'm thinking, what is the opportunity to make people wake up from illusion. I thought it was the pain because when I slapped Sir Diego, he woke up, but when he slapped you, you didn't." Castor replied with his eyes seeking the answer.

  Bang! Bang! Bang!

A series of gunshots startled the two pirates, and Castor realized the urgency of the time.

"Oh shoot! We gotta wake those pirates who are using rifles fast! They are too deadly!" Diego shouted and ran to a rifleman.

"Diego! They have a rifle! Be careful!" Kyle also shouted and followed Diego's step quickly, "Hey, Castor! Follow us!"

"Okay." Castor nodded and ran with them. However, the stamina he had consumed before had not yet been fully restored, so he was not running as fast as they were.

Diego took the lead, and the rifleman immediately spotted him and pointed the dark muzzle of his gun at him. But he was not afraid because he knew that those rifles had a fatal flaw, which was accuracy.

At this distance, coupled with the rifleman's panic and shaking hands, it was difficult to hit Diego with his bullet. Even so, he couldn't run in a straight line, or he would definitely be shot in the head by the rifleman at the right time.

"Hmph, let me see if you guys with guns can hurt me." Diego grinned, exposing his white teeth. After that, he began to run in an irregular route, sometimes in an arc and sometimes in a straight line.

As the rifleman nervously moved his finger towards the trigger, Diego also prepared to seize the opportunity to dodge the bullet.

"Tsk, tsk, the muzzle of the gun is tilted upwards, so I guess I just need to bend down." Diego clicked his tongue and judged.

"Careful! He is going to fire!" Kyle shouted.

  Bang!

At the same time, Diego threw his whole body forward, his head looking up at the black round bullet flying over him, then he extended his hands forward to support himself on the floor, raised his lower body, and leaned forward, doing a front flip.

The next moment, he stabilized his body and ran forward again, closing the distance. This act not only stunned Castor, but also the rifleman's eyes widened with disbelief.

"What the heck?! What monster is this?!" That rifleman shouted and aimed at Diego again. The rifle in his hand has three bullets in total, and he has shot one already, so two more bullets.

"Come on! Shoot again! However, I will dodge it!" Diego grinned even wider.

As the distance got closer, the rifleman became more and more scared. His trembling fingers slowly pushed the trigger again. This time, the rifle was pointed a little bit downwards, apparently to prevent Diego from dodging like he did last time.

  Bang!

The gun fired again, but this time it missed the target. Diego turned sideways just before the shot and threw his body downward again, then he rolled on the ground and stood up, and ran towards the rifleman.

The distance was very close at this time. The rifleman stopped aiming and raised his gun, and fired again. He had lost his composure. After all, in his eyes, the black monster full of eyes on its body was already pouncing towards him.

"Alright! Let me end this!" Diego declared and slipped. When his foot kicked the rifleman's foot, the rifleman lost his balance and fell.

"Got ya!" Diego pinned him to the ground, "Kyle, you want to slap him?"

Kyle and Castor were still on their way. It's not their fault that they were running slowly, it's just that Diego was very fast, and this ended faster.

"No, Diego, the key to waking them up maybe it's not be the pain!" Kyle shouted and turned his head to Castor, "Go, try it."

Castor nodded and ran to the rifleman, who was pinned down by Diego, and he was still resisting. He breathed deeply and thought back to what Kyle just said.

  .....

"Castor, you say you didn't fall into the illusion?!" Kyle asked in surprise.

  "Yes, I didn't." Castor admitted.

"Well then, I have a guess... when you slapped Diego and he woke up, but when he slapped me, I didn't, right?" Kyle asked again for confirmation.

"Yes." Castor nodded. He looked at the pirate in front of him, and he seemed to have found the answer he didn't know, and then listened more carefully.

"Castor, maybe... the key to wake them up is not pain, but it's... you." Kyle explained, "Because Diego and I are woken up by your slap, so um... this makes me think you're the key."

"Later, when Diego finished that rifleman, try to touch his face, not slap his face." Kyle added.

  .....

Now, Castor squatted down and gently placed his hand on the Rifleman's face. After a few seconds, he calmed down and then looked at them in shock again.

"Huh? You don't need to slap them actually?" Diego asked.

  "Yes." Castor replied shortly.

"Uh.. you guys...? Wh-" The rifleman was still confused about the situation right now and was going to ask more.

"Ah, what's happening? Why did the monster disappear? Why did we appear? You're going to ask those questions, right?" Diego predicted with a smile, "We all fall into illusion, every monster is our teammate, and now we are going to wake them up, understood?"

Seeing that the rifle was still in shock and hadn't processed the large amount of information, Diego sighed and ran towards the other pirate.

"I'll go get more pirate first and bring it to Castor, you two protect him." Diego said like he commanded.

Seeing Diego running away, the three of them also started to act. First, they let the rifleman know the current situation, and then they started to rescue more people.

As more people woke up, the team started to grow. Castor gradually couldn't run anymore, and two people carried him up and let him sit on their shoulders.

"Here! Here! Castor! Punch him!" The rifleman asked Castor to punch Bob happily.

"Uh... I..." Castor hesitated, he didn't want to punch Bob.

"Ah, it's fine! Then just touch him!"

  .....

  "Castor! Here! Woke Jalen up!"

  .....

  "Castor! Come here!"

  .....

"What... are they doing?" Captain Raigh saw the monsters stop killing each other, instead staying together and going to another monster, and the monster would join their team.

"They will communicate?" He frowned but didn't go to them, "Seems I have to prepare to fight them all at a time."

  .....

More and more people called Castor, and more and more people woke up. Finally, everyone was woken up. No, the last person to be woken up was the captain. There were already five fallen bodies in front of the captain.

"...It's quite dangerous to get close to him." Jalen hissed and looked at Castor, "Maybe he will remember you?"

"Ridiculous!" Bob refuted, "Captain, now is fall into the illusion! How can see still see Castor, in his eyes, we all are the ugly black monster."

As soon as he finished speaking, Castor had already walked in front of the captain. There was only the gale between him and the captain.
