The next time I woke up I found myself in the same pce.
Telling me everything I experienced the first two times wasn't just some super weird dream.
I really did die, and I really did reincarnate into the world of 'Terrestria Saga' as the hated characters known as the 'Piggy Prince' Mordred Albion Pendragon.
'And here I was actually hoping this entire thing was all just one big dream.' I thought.
For the most part.
Though now that I'm absolutely certain it isn't the only way is forward.
"Ah, master! I'm so gd you're okay!"
Right after I told myself this I heard a familiar voice call out to me.
Turning in its direction I was it was a girl about my age, sporting long bck hair and brown eyes. Along with bunny ears sitting atop her head, with her attire consisting of a maid uniform.
The moment I was her my memories from this life told me exactly who she was.
My personal maid and attendant, Selsa Lapin.
Who as you've likely guessed isn't human.
No, Selsa is a member of a race in the world of Terrestria known as the Beast-kin.
Who appear human for the most part, but differ from us due to their animalistic traits. Such as having natural animal ears and tails.
Like Selsa
Who is a member of the rabbit tribe of the beast-kin race.
"Ah, I'm so gd you're okay!" Selsa cried again.
Though before she could reach me she tripped over her own feet and fell ft on her face.
But to her credit she immediately got right back up.
"Selsa are you alright?" I asked. The words sounding foreign in my tongue.
To say nothing of the fact Selsa began looking at me like I'd grown a second head right after I asked about her well-being.
A quick look through my memories from this life told me why.
Looks like Mordred has never ever asked Selsa about her well-being. In fact despite how hardworking she is and how much she tried to support Mordred, despite his horrible personality, and her known airheadedness and clumsiness, he regurly ridiculed and berated her. As well as id his hands on her. Such a grouping her forcing her to become a horse for him to ride. Hell just recently he even had her wash his body in the tub with both of them entirely naked so he could oogle her.
Yet despite the past couple of years of abuse she suffered at Mordred's hands she has never once lost her happy attitude or turned against him.
Even though he saw her as nothing but a py thing.
Ugh!!!
Just thinking of that makes me sick to my stomach.
Why did the original me of this world have to be such a little bastard?!
"Master Mordred, did you...ask if I was alright just now?" Selsa asked in a low tone.
"I did." I replied. "And why shouldn't I? You are the personal maid and attendant to a member of the royal family after all. So if you were to become severely injured by your own hands it would reflect poorly not only on the Pendragon family but me personally." I expined. Putting an irritated expression on my face.
Doing my best the replicate the original Mordred personality until I can gradually start showing people I've change.
To arouse no suspicions.
I...see." Selsa replied. "Then yes, I'm fine master Mordred." She spoke.
"Good." I replied. "Now one more thing. For my filthy actions towards you I want to apologize." I said.
"What?!" Selsa excimed. "I...master...who...what...are you really my master?" She managed to ask.
Having no idea how close she was the actual truth.
"I am." I replied.
Which is not lying. Since technically I am her master but at the same time I am not.
"Then why did you..." Selsa trailed off. Getting a cramped expression on her face.
"Apologize?" I asked.
Selsa nodded.
"Because not only as a Prince of this kingdom, but also as someone who was raised to be a decent person, I have no excuse for how I've acted towards and treated you. Which despite all of it you have stayed by my side. And for that I am grateful. So I ask you continue to do so. That is, if you want to of course " I expined.
"I...I..." Selsa began muttering. Tears begining to form at her eyes. Until she was full blown crying. Then right after she tackled me and pulled me into a hug. "Ah, master! Thank you! And yes I'll stay by your side!"
"Right. Thanks. But Selsa, let go please. You're crushing me." I managed to say.
For Selsa was indeed doing that.
Given that the Beast-Kin race has superior physical abilities to all other races.
And even though Selsa is a member of the rabbit tribe, who are not known for their combat prowess, given how weak I am right now even she could kill me if she wanted.
A situation I hope to rectify and fast.
Among others.
Despite my plea Selsa ignored me and continued her hug.
Until eventually I started seeing bck spots in my vision and then found myself passing out for the third time in as many days.
"Wait. Master, no. I'm so sorry!" Selsa cried.
Making it the st thing I heard for the next few hours.
***
Sitting quietly, Selsa standing next to me, we waited for the doctor on duty to finish examining me.
For today was the day I was finally being discharged from the royal medical wing.
Where I have been for the past week.
Since the fall I took from that tree that nded me in here in the first pce was no joke.
And even with healing magic existing in this world my father didn't want to take any chances. So here I remained.
Also yes, healing magic, and magic in general exists in the world of Terrestria.
Which I have been researching during my week in bed. In doing so I discovered most events and people line up with what I remember from the game.
Telling me my foreknowledge of what is to come is relevant.
For now at least.
But since this isn't a game anymore I have no idea what might happen.
Meaning I need to get moving pronto.
Which starts today.
"You're all set Prince Mordred." The doctor eventually spoke.
"Thank you doctor." I spoke.
Ignoring the strange look the doctor gave me after I thanked him.
Even though I had been doing so for the past week ever since I awakened.
In fact I had subtlely began implementing my change in attitude.
Despite the fact I could see practically anyone I encountered thought it was nothing more than an act.
Yeah, that's how bad my reputation is at the moment.
So yay! Lots of work ahead.
I'm being sarcastic if you can't tell.
Anyway.
After the doctor cleared me I left the medical wing and walked through the halls of the royal pace, Lapis trailing me, until I reached the residential area, specifically my own room.
Opening the door I went inside.
Recalling from my memories everything was exactly how I had left it.
"Master, shall I call for your lunch?" Lapis asked me.
Since it is lunch time.
"Yes, and make sure it's the usual." I spoke.
The usual being a healthy and banced meal that included either fruits or vegetables.
Since in the past Mordred generally only ever ate meat and tons of sweets.
That's why I'm so damn plus size.
But the moment I woke up my diet is one of the first changes I made.
"Understood." Lapis replied.
She then ran off before returning a bit ter with my lunch.
Some carrot stew with a bun of bread and some water.
Sitting down at my desk I ate my meal.
Then once I was done I moved over to my closet, which was like a room itself, and picked out a pin shirt and pants before putting them on.
The clothes tight on me.
But they did fit I ignored the tightness for now.
Especially since I'm getting ready to rectify it by starting to shed my fat shell and turn this body off mine into a proper weapon.
Given all the deadly fighting that will take pce in the future.
So time to get skinny and properly trained in combat.
And I know just the person to help me kill those two birds with one stone.
I just hope he agrees.
Leaving my room, Lapis behind me, the two of us moved through the castle until eventually we reached one of its numerous courtyards.
Where we found numerous men and woman either practicing magic, performing physical exercises such as running ps or push-ups, and even several sparring against each other using wooden swords.
Since they were the soldiers that protected the Kingdom of Britannia. Specifically members of the Kingdoms Knight Order and our Mage Corps.
Looking around training field I soon spotted the person I intend to have help me lose weight and learn to fight.
He was a rge man. Not just in body but also in height, which is 6'5". Sporting short light blue hair and matching colored eyes, he had a few visible scars on his face. While his attire consisted of light clothing, just like what I'm wearing, at the moment.
His back leaning against one of the trees in the courtyard he had a rexed smile on his face, but in contrast his eyes were constantly scanning the courtyard, observing the training of the members of the Knight Order and the mage corps members present.
Why?
Because that man is none other than the current supreme commander of the Kingdom of Britannia Knight Order.
A man by the name of Barrett Becnel.
'Okay. Here goes nothing.' I thought.
After spotting Barrett I moved through the courtyard to his position.
The man turning his gaze to Selsa and I the closer we got to him.
"Knight Commander Barrett. Good morning." I said upon reaching him.
"Yes. Good morning commander Becnel." Selsa added.
"Oh, if it isn't going Prince Mordred and his little Lapin maid. To what do I owe this pleasure today?" Barrett spoke.
"As you already know I took a terrible fall from a tree I climbed up over a week ago and then spent time in the infirmary because of it. During that time I began to reflect on my actions for the past few years and let's just say I've decided to turn things around. To that end I want to resume my combat training and I would like you to train me." I expined.
Also yes, Mordred does have some combat training.
Though from reviewing my memories it seems he stopped three years ago, shortly after his mother died.
Yeah, the queen, my mother in this life, has passed away.
Actually now that I think about it was right after the Queens death Mordred began turning into the little bastard he was in the game.
I guess his mother's death really did a number of him.
Who knew?
I certainly didn't.
Since this wasn't touched upon during his backstory in the game. All that was expined was the queen was deceased.
"Oh, that so." Barrett mused. His gaze suddenly directly focusing on me. "You know I heard you'd changed Prince Mordred but seeing is believing I guess. Even so, what makes you think that means I'll train you?"
"I don't. I'm just asking." I replied. Staring down Barrett right back.
"Words are easy to say my young prince, but to me actions have always spoken louder than words. And for the past few years your actions have been quite loud." Barrett expined.
"Again, I know that." I replied. "Though I really am trying to correct-wait no. What I mean to say is that I am going to correct my ways. So that I do not embarrass myself or Britannia any further."
"Again, all just words." Barrett retorted.
"Then what do I have to do to prove to you they aren't?" I asked.
Still pushing.
Since although I could definitely get someone else to train, given my reputation, they probably wouldn't do so seriously. Even if my father were to order them to.
Plus in the game Barrett was an incredibly strong character from beginning to end.
He's known as the 'Azure Devil". One of the world's strongest swordsmen. He also really beloved by pyers of the game despite being a non-pyer character, NPC for short, from what my memories of my other life tell me.
So if I can convince him to train me I know I'll become strong.
That's why I won't give up.
After hearing my question Barrett got a pyful smile on his face, and upon seeing it a shiver ran down my entire body.
"How about this. Let's spar. And if you can st for at least three minutes you'll get the training your asking for. What do you say?" Barrett spoke.
"I say. Sure." I replied.
"Ugh, Master no." Selsa spoke worriedly. "You just got out of the medical wing." She said.
"Selsa." I said. Turning to her. I then gave her a smile and gently patted the top of her head.
"Eh!!" Leading her to excim and begin blushing like a tomato. "Master Mordred!"
"Don't worry. It'll be okay." I told her. "Besides if I can't show my resolve to change right here and now then when can I?"
This is a test, and one, although I am scared to take on, I will do.
"This is something I need to do. So as always please just watch over me until the end, okay?" I spoke.
"Yes!" Selsa replied.
"Thank you Selsa." I said.
I then removed my hand from her head and turned back around to face Barrett.
Only to see the man sporting a shit eating grin on his face.
"What?" I asked.
"Nothing. Just surprised you're becoming a dies man is all." He expined.
Leading me to give him a ft look in response. "Let's just have our spar." I replied.
"Oh, is the little prince embarrassed about his crush on his maid?" Barrett asked. His grin getting wider.
"No. Because we are just master and servant. Nothing more." I said.
Not to say I wouldn't mind being in a retionship with Selsa. I mean she is beautiful and her bunny features make her even cuter. But considering what my past self put her through I don't think she'll ever be able to see me as a man.
Even if there is a tint part of me that hopes one day she would.
But what are the odds of that happening?
"Sure, sure, whatever you say." Barrett replied. Giving me a pat on the back. "Hey, everyone make some room! Little prince Mordred and I are about to go at it." He then yelled.
When he did everyone in the courtyard stopped what they were doing and looked over in our direction.
"Barrett is going to spar with Prince Mordred? Does our porcine have a death wish?"
"Good. Maybe the little prince needs a beating."
"Why is commander Barrett bullying such a young boy?"
"Ah, why can't the commander bully me?"
Ignoring the comment I just heard, others began flying through the air as soon as Barrett announced our spar.
"Hey, what did I say?!" He shouted.
His voice carrying enough force to silence the entire courtyard.
When this occurred everyone began moving.
Until Barrett and I had a clear path to an open practice field.
But before we headed for it Barrett made a gesture to one of his knights and they came over to him and I, carrying two wooden swords.
I took one for myself and Barrett took the other.
Once we did we then headed over to the practice field.
Until soon we were in position.
"Alright my Prince, are you ready?" Barrett asked me.
"Yes. I am." I replied.
"Then let's begin." He said.
"Yes, let's..." I began trailing off.
Since I suddenly found everything spinning.
As well as the fact I was in the air.
Realizing what had just occurred.
'Ah, Barrett already made his move.' I thought.
Immediately after which I crashed into the ground.
***
(3rd Person: POV)
Thud!
That sound echoed through the courtyard as Modded nded ft on his face.
After Barrett in a single move put him in that position.
The man now standing behind Mordred. Having taken just a single step to move.
Almost like he teleported.
Pcing his hands on the ground Mordred pushed himself back up to his feet.
Ignoring the dirt on his face and clothes he pointed the tip of his wooden sword at Barrett.
He then got into an attack stance.
But the second after he did Barrett took another single step and was immediately directly in front of him.
Once he was Barrett delivered a smack fo Mordred left side using his wooden sword.
Kncojogn the air out of his lungs and so sending him skidding across the ground.
"The commander is being unusually ruthless."
"Yeah, but he's holding back immensely."
"Well what did you expect, given his appointment.
Ignoring the whispers filling his years Mordred stood back up again.
Only for Barrett to once again take a single step and close the distance. He then kicked Mordred feet out from under him. Leading him to fall on his face.
"Do you give up?" Barrett asked.
Only for Mordred to stand back up. "No...way." He huffed out.
Ignoring the aches he was already feeling all over his body.
"So be it then." Barrett spoke.
He then picked up the pace, unch attack after attack at Mordred not giving him any time to try and recover and get back.
Not that he could.
That's just how weak he was.
Yet it was also what he voluntary entered the hell he is in didn't at this moment.
To show resolve and fortitude.
As the beating went on the crowd of spectators couldn't turn their eyes away.
Their minds wondering how their horrible and spoiled Prince Mordred hadn't already cried and begged for mercy against the Knight Commander.
"Master." Selsa spoke.
Doing her best to hold back her tears as Mordred was getting beaten bck and blue.
Yet she has no turned away once.
For she wanted to do what Mordred asked.
Since Selsa felt it was a duty as his maid.
Meanwhile with Mordred he was staring to see bck spots in his eyes.
'Shit! No, I can't pass out now. Not when I've just taken my first step.' Mordred thought. 'Stay awake dammit! Stay awake!"
He told himself over and over again.
But no matter how hard he tried his vision just kept getting cloudier and cloudier until he felt he was at the end.
Though just as Modded was Barrett spoke up.
"Okay. That's enough. I've seen your not messing around."
Hearing this Mordred looked at Barrett. "So, does that mean you'll..."
Barrett nodded. "Yes my Prince. I'll help you continue your training." He said.
Leading Mordred to smile.
Just before lost consciousness and passed out.
"Ah, master!" Selsa shouted. Running out towards Mordred.
Only to trip and fall face first onto the ground.
"Hahaha!" Leading Barrett to let out a hearty ugh. "Oh boy, these kids." He mused. "Healers, see to them both right now." He ordered.
"Yes!" They replied.
The healers present then went to attend to Mordred and Selsa.
As this occured a figure leaned against a wall and observed the entire scene.
The figure in question being male, and the same age as Mordred. He also sported the same dark-blonde hair but had the same blue eyes as the king instead of deep purple ones like Mordred.
Scrutinizing Mordred with his gaze the figure then muttered.
"Brother, just what are you pnning?"
Before turning and walking away.
