Chapter 1 – First day at the hotel, meeting the group.

  Day 1

As soon as I woke up, I lost my mind.

As I was traveling and spending quite a bit of money, it was a pretty decent hotel and the room was definitely decent.

In other words, it is a room where one man can leisurely fall asleep while watching a Netflix movie on a wall-mounted TV in a neat atmosphere.

The room I just woke up in was incredibly huge and fancy, like something out of a movie.

It was definitely not a single room to begin with.

The walls were covered with antique paintings, as if we had entered a huge mansion of a wealthy person, even though it was a hotel room.

The bed is covered with such luxurious comforters that I would feel bad about ruining its shape by moving around.

As soon as I turned on my phone to check the time, I panicked again. I saw a sign saying that there was no signal.

As I was feeling increasingly confused, I hastily washed up and changed clothes and came out of the bedroom, and I saw the dispy in the living room blinking brightly.

Congratutions on the start of your adventure! You have been blessed with wisdom.

You can know things that your peers cannot know, and understand things that they cannot understand.

As you progress through your adventure, new possibilities for the Blessing of Wisdom also arise.

  The blessing is activated.

Today's surprise event: There are no bad animals in the world.

What the heck is this? I feel like I'm going crazy.

The moment I grabbed the back of my neck and looked up at the ceiling, one side of my vision shook.

  [User: Han Ga-in (Jihye)

  Date: Day 1

Current location: Tier 1, Room 105 (Room of Rest)

  Wise Man's Advice: 3]

Is this some kind of game status screen?

It was only at this point that I accepted that something ridiculous had happened to me.

  *

As I moved towards the living room, I saw a huge dining table that looked like something straight out of a movie, and on top of the table was a button that said “Meal.”

I wondered if pressing it would bring out food, but then I heard a sharp scream.

I ran frantically to get out of the ridiculously huge 'room' and swung the door open.

The moment I stepped out the door and reached the front desk, my mouth dropped open.

A giant monkey? Something is off. It walks on two legs and has a cold weapon in its hand.

The inside of the mouth is filled with things that look more like saw bdes than teeth. This thing is more of a monster than a monkey.

Four or five people are being threatened.

On the left side of the front desk, two women, who seemed to be mixed with foreigners, were screaming, not knowing what to do.

Near the bonsai tree on the right, a man was lying there in a daze.

Even in this desperate atmosphere, the reason why there were no victims yet was clear.

  “Terminator?....”

A man of such a rge build that you'd suspect he's a Terminator, capable of spouting out stupid stuff at any given moment.

He was fighting, swinging a wooden stick that appeared to be a chair leg.

In terms of physique, it was even bigger than the monster monkeys, and every time it swung its club, it would fall down so fast that even the monster monkeys felt like they were outstripped by its strength.

As I was watching them fight, absentmindedly, one of the monkeys started to approach me and looked at me.

I don't know. I really have no idea what the hell is going on.

As I desperately wished that there was some angel, devil, or whatever, that could tell me what to do, a phrase suddenly appeared in the air.

  [Go to room 105 immediately.]

Room 105. This is my room number. As soon as I checked, the number next to the wise man's advice changed from 3 to 2.

Luckily, it wasn't too far. As I was running frantically towards room 105, I heard an unknown scream and a loud running sound behind me.

I ran and ran, suppressing the urge to do something pointless like look back. The moment I opened the door to room 105, the sound disappeared.

Only then did I look back bnkly.

The monster that had clearly been chasing me just a moment ago just looked at me and grumbled from the other side, but instead of approaching me, it turned around and went back to the front.

Is there something in this room? It seems like monsters can't come near this room.

When I returned to the room and took a deep breath for about ten seconds, it was only then that I remembered the people who had been in danger at the front desk earlier.

It may seem like a guy like Terminator is good at fighting, but he can't fight forever, right? No matter what, he has to save people.

I gritted my teeth and picked up a silver candlestick that looked incredibly expensive, just in case.

If you swing it, it will act like a weapon.

Given the state of affairs, it seems unlikely that anyone would file a cim for compensation for a broken candlestick.

It was really scary, but if you're in a hurry, you can just turn around and go back to room 105.

As we ran towards the front, the situation had gotten worse.

The man who had been running wild like a general was bleeding profusely as if he had been injured somewhere, and the two women who were hiding inside the front desk were busy swinging around something that looked like a piece of scrap they had picked up somewhere.

The woman on the side of the fountain, who I was worried might have already died or even fainted, was fortunately still fine.

In addition, two people were seen running around. Fortunately, one of the monsters was knocked over by the Terminator-like man and couldn't move.

“No monsters can come from room 105. Come to me immediately!”

After I screamed like crazy three or four times, the people around me finally looked in my direction. Little by little, people started running towards me.

Then, as if it had been waiting, a Terminator stood between the people and the monster, and the monster was unable to pounce on the Terminator as it seemed to have already taken one down.

How many people did that guy save in this short period of time?

In fact, I don't think this guy would have killed two monsters without me having to call anyone.

Of course, he may have died before then, seeing as blood was already flowing from various parts of his body.

The woman on the fountain side who seemed to have fainted also came to her senses betedly.

Soon after, everyone ran towards room 105, and soon after, the Terminator and I headed towards room 105 as well. Just like before, the monster just looked at us and didn't come closer.

As soon as I entered the room, I took a deep breath, closed the door, and looked back.

  There is no one.

Was I possessed by a ghost? I clearly saw two men and three women enter the room, not including me.

Just when I thought I was getting used to the strange things, the dispy on the wall blinked.

Welcome to Hotel Pioneer! Please note the following guidelines. Additional guidelines may be added and can be viewed at any time on the hotel's dispy.

  1. Hotel Pioneer always loves its customers.

  2. Please note that the elevator is broken.

  3. The hotel always protects the privacy of its guests. But wouldn't it be better to eat together?

This situation is full of question marks. There is nothing that provides any sembnce of information other than the instructions on the dispy.

I read the sentences with the greatest concentration I have ever had since I was born.

'Privacy'. Could it be that privacy is the reason why everything disappeared?

Since I felt strongly that common sense has no meaning, if I were to think about it in the most 'uncommon' way possible, it would be impossible to maintain privacy in a situation where there are 6 people in one room.

According to the text, it seems that in room 105, everyone is usually apart and meets together only during meal times.

[I understood a little about the hotel.]

I burst out ughing when the message popped up in the status window. This ridiculous thought was real. I bnkly headed toward the rge room with the table.

I could see a clock, and there was also a sign next to it that said meal times were 7:00 AM, 12:00 PM, and 7:00 PM, and sted for 1 hour and 30 minutes.

It's about 10:20 now, so I guess things will work out by 12 o'clock.

It was such a confusing morning. I was so tired, I went to bed and y down to catch some sleep.

  Knock. Knock.

“Can you please stand up for a moment?”

Ah. You fell asleep in that short time.

I opened my eyes in surprise and saw the same older sister I saw earlier in front of me. She seemed to be in her mid-30s?

She is tall and gives off the impression that she is a successful city girl.

However, I felt a cold atmosphere somewhere, so it was difficult to start a conversation.

“Thank you for waking me up. What about the others?”

“First of all, I didn’t really think it would happen, but at exactly 12 o’clock, as if they had teleported, people appeared from all over the room and everyone except for the two of them gathered in the dining area.

“Mr. Jincheol got hurt in the fight earlier, so we managed to stop the bleeding, but he’s still lying down… I thought I should wake up the student since he was asleep, but shouldn’t we talk to each other?”

“Yes. Everything is strange, but I think I should say something.”

  “Follow me.”

As we turned around and started walking towards the restaurant together, my older sister suddenly turned around.

“Oh, and… thank you for earlier. I thought I would become food for a monster out of nowhere, but you called me and I survived. My name is Eunsol Lee.”

“No. Terminal... No, Mr. Jincheol? He did it all.”

After a brief moment of silence, Eunsol Lee smiled and turned around again.
