After three weeks the three mortal manuals are learned. His exploration speed is a bit faster thanks to the long steps. His meditation is more efficient and in danger he can temporarily grow out and strengthen his body hair. He looks a bit like a bear that way. A very thin and humanoid bear.

  Mimicking accents and animal noises fits into the training of fighting like a hundred animals. While observing he also starts to mimic their noises. After a while he can even manipulate them by scaring them away or by calling them. He also learns how to calm them down even though he stands right next to them.

  Qi vision is finished and iron skin is making good progress.

  After finishing Iron skin and the poison manual he will probably learn the movement manual and the regeneration one.

  Lie Mo stays several months in this level. By now he knows every tunnel and every path leading up and down. He even searched trough all the levels going up. He can somewhat guess where the path to freedom is. And where the path to the skull cave is. But as long as he didn’t progress at least one level further he won’t leave.

  In the upper levels is nothing of interest. There are a few pretty places but nothing of worth like his encounter with the traveler.

  Now Lie Mo starts to go tackle the snake level.

  He first starts with only small trips into snake land. But the trips get longer.

  One day during his exploration trip his qi sea starts acting up. He can barely go to safety before the waves start to get bigger.

  Lie Mo is confused on what to do. Should he calm the sea or should he stir it up. He decides to stir it up.

  The waves get bigger and bigger. And they crash and expand the qi sea further and further. The wider the sea gets the shallower it gets as well. After several hours of qi storm his qi sea almost doubled. And it is calm again. Calm and somehow more refined.

  After a good nights sleep Lie Mo starts meditating. His qi sea starts filling up again. And now it holds multiple times of what it held previously. So far he never used an active skill for an extended period of time. He always only turned it on in times of need and turned it off again as soon as possible. A cultivator without qi is only little more than a mortal.

  But now with a bigger sea, a more refined qi and a faster refill time he can think of using the skills more often.

  After entering the snake level again he notices that all his skills are a bit more effective now. That only accelerates his exploration speed.

  After a few more weeks he finds the entry to the next level.

  And here are a lot of slimes. Slimy plants, slimy swamps and slimes jumping around al over.

  Lie Mo knows that he isn’t ready for that stage jet.

  First he will explore the entire snake level. And only after that will he set even one foot into the slime level.

  And that is exactly what he did. Lie Mo spends a lot of time in the snake level until he can move around freely.

  This level has not that many pretty sites. And there is only one thing noteworthy.

  Somewhere to the side is one big cavern with a big snake and a lot of eggs.

  Every snake of this level probably came from this cavern.

  So far he didn’t do anything to that snake nest.

  But he might at some point. As long as there is some kind of reason.
