Prologue

  The Siege of Avant

  The town of Avant stood as a lonely bastion on the frontier, a beacon of trade amidst the untamed wilds. Its walls, manned by a thousand weary soldiers, had withstood countless assaults from beasts and Orcs. But nothing could have prepared them for what came next.

  The Army of Darkness descended upon Avant like a tide of nightmares twisted creatures, monstrous and innumerable.

  The walls shook with each impact, and the defenders, trying there best, but slowly losing ground. For a week, they bled, fought, and died. Their arrows ran dry, their swords dulled from endless sughter. The cries of the wounded mixed with the howls of the abyss, drowning the town in despair. The Citizen and soldiers slowly losing hope until.

  A lone rider broke through the enemy lines, his horse foaming with exhaustion. His voice, hoarse but triumphant, he survive the ambush, and manage to get through the eastern walls. As he gets some needed water, he stand up and shouts in all his might.

  "Reinforcements have arrived!"

  A cheer erupted from the beleaguered defenders. But some doubt the news, how? Even the swiftest cavalry would take a month to reach them is it possible? No banners of the coalition were visible, no armies cresting the hills. Only the endless swarm of darkness, pressing ever closer.

  Then, a sound split the sky.

  A roar, like the wrath of gods.

  The weary soldiers turned their gaze upward as shadows moved beyond the clouds. Then, the heavens ignited. Fire rained from above, searing through the ranks of the abyssal horde. The air thundered with explosions as iron winged beasts descended sleek and mighty, painted in a color no dragon had ever worn: blue.

  The creatures streaked across the battlefield, spitting fme and metal, their roars shaking the very earth. One of them, unlike the others, bore twin bdes upon its wings. It dove, releasing thunderous bolts that struck the enemy ranks with cataclysmic force. The ground quaked as entire formations of the dark horde were obliterated in blinding bursts of fire.

  The gods had answered.

  The soldiers of Avant stood frozen in awe, their exhaustion momentarily forgotten. But then, a scout’s frantic cry snapped them from their awe.

  "Something's moving in the forest!"

  From the treeline. It was colossal, a war construct like none had ever seen. A siege engine of dwarves? They look at it. It's a monstrous shell of steel and fury, its very presence exuding power. And upon it, a rider, cd not in pte nor mail, but in strange uniforms of foreign design.

  Then, the beast spoke.

  Its voice was thunder incarnate.

  A mighty roar, followed by a blinding fsh, a eruption of destruction that tore through the enemy ranks, leaving only ruin in its wake. More of these iron beasts emerged, rolling forward with unstoppable might, their riders wielding weapons of impossible power. Weapon simir to dwarves forged.

  Boom. Boom. Boom.

  Each roar of their weapons tore through the darkness, sending its creatures sprawling in pieces. The battlefield, once lost to despair, now trembled beneath the onsught of gods of war.

  The soldiers of Avant, once doomed, now raised their weapons with newfound vigor. Seeing the army of darkness getting pummeled by the beast of war. They experience many emotions. As the darkness slowly crumbles, as the light of the reinforcement shine brightly.

  As the Citizen of Avant, see a miracle the world will serve as the catalyst of the new era, many will Celebrate and despised.
