Chapter 1

  The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was white. The whole pce was completely white. On the ground, there was a mist... or maybe it was clouds. I don't know. I felt dizzy; after all, I had just woken up.

  I decided to stay where I was. I didn't trust that if I stood up, I wouldn't end up falling.

  ???: —I see you've found your bearings.

  I heard a soft voice. Curiously, I wasn't scared. It wasn't out of bravery or anything like that... it was because, while getting my bearings, I remembered something. I remembered... that I died. Yes, I died. How do I know? Because it was by my own will.

  My sister needed a heart, and I was a match. Before the operation, I already had an idea of how it would end. That's why the voice didn't scare me. I think I have an idea of who it is, though I'm a bit afraid to know whether I'll end up in heaven... or in hell.

  ???: —Rex, my child. You've been a good boy. You won't go to hell.

  Me: —Really? What a relief... —I sighed with relief. Apparently, I wouldn't have to face the devil. Without my machete, I'd be lost.

  ???: —My child, you've died young. I'd like to ask you: would you prefer to reincarnate in another world or go to heaven?

  Going to heaven seemed like the logical choice... but honestly, I wanted to keep living. I already knew my answer.

  Me: —I'd like to reincarnate. Can you tell me what the pce will be like?

  ???: —Destiny has many pces where you could go, but I've narrowed the options to three worlds you know. The first is Madoka Magica, the second is Fate/Grand Order, and the third is High School DxD.

  Anime worlds, I thought. Madoka was out of the question. If it was before Madoka's wish, the witches were girls, and I wouldn't go near Kyubey, not even as a joke. Fate also sounded terrible: I'd end up dead from humanity's incineration or as some crazy mage's toy.

  DxD, on the other hand... if I put my mind to it, I could live a peaceful life.

  Me: —I'll go to—I'll go to DxD.

  ???: —Very well. Then tell me, my child, do you desire any power or ability for your new life?

  A wish... interesting. If I was going to an anime world, I needed a power on par. Something OP. I had it clear.

  Me: —I want to have all the angels and their respective Demon Kings from Date A Live, plus Mio Takamiya's Angel.

  ???: —So it shall be.

  After those words, the voice disappeared. A door materialized in front of me. I stood up and found myself in front of it. I didn't know what my new life would be like... would I have siblings? Would I be an only child? I just hoped to reach adulthood and have a daughter. With those thoughts in mind, I opened the door.

  My name is Itsuka Shido. I just recovered the memories of my past life. I live in Japan, in the city of Kuoh. I’m in kindergarten.

  I'm sociable. I'm not into that nonsense where the reincarnated person only talks to the main cast and acts like they’re unattainable fruits. No, thanks.

  Since we're in the world of DxD, I'll try to study psychology. There are many characters here who need professional help, and someone has to do it.

  I'll see how it goes... and decide which angel to summon first, although with my current size, it's going to be a challenge!
