Chapter 6: Enter Gizmo Duck

While Ricky Raven and his team were doing their best with trying to keep the Chaos Insurgency at bay, Gregory Ericson, the anthropomorphic cougar and Global Occult Coalition agent had fully recovered since his last encounter with Launchpad McQuack. However, instead of taking revenge on McQuack, he has decided to seek out Gizmo Duck to assist him in destroying SCP-682. Lucky for Gregory, there were a few GOC operatives within DuckBurg’s police department who had knowledge that Fenton Crackshell-Cabrera was now legally operating as Gizmo Duck for the local police.

“Boss, we have seen him around the station” said an anthropomorphic dog police officer.

“Excellent, I want him to receive an important assignment” said Gregory, “make him think it’s from the regular civilian law enforcement.”

“Will do” said the dog police officer.

The GOC spy went to work and created a letter that sounded very official, while Fenton wasn’t wearing his Gizmo Duck suit, he was the main file clerk for the Duckburg police department. He was rather very helpful at his new job.

“Can’t believe I’m on the force with you all,” laughed Fenton.

The dog police officer soon strolled out and gave Fenton the letter.

“I think we’re going to need Gizmo Duck for a special assignment” said the dog police officer as he handed Fenton the letter.

Fenton soon began to read the letter; he couldn’t believe it – St. Canard?!

“Wait, wouldn’t it make more sense to use Gizmo Duck in Duckburg and not St. Canard, St. Canard already has its savior and his name’s Darkwing Duck” said Fenton.

“But it’s official, there’s a looming threat over St. Canard and they need all the help they could get” continued the dog police officer.

Fenton eager to take up the offer agrees to the assignment, using his famous catch phrase he soon transforms into Gizmo Duck.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be heading off to St. Canard!” laughed Fenton in his Gizmo Duck gear.

Fenton soon rolls off; the GOC operative soon calls in Gregory.

“He bought it” laughed the dog police officer.

“Excellent” said Gregory, “all that’s left is for the Chaos Insurgency to do their job.”

It would take Fenton at least a day to get to St. Canard, no one on Louie’s end would expect this interference. As the day went by, Lena was ever so nervous for Louie’s safety. She could tell that not every Chaos Insurgent would be fooled, that one would get wind of his own schemes.

“You’re worried for him, are you?” asked Gosalyn.

“I’m just concerned that’s all” said Lena as she paced back and forth.

“You like him, don’t you?” asked Gosalyn.

Lena did her best trying not to show any affections for Louie.

“Look, I know he’s not perfect, but we should give him a chance,” said Lena.

Gosalyn could tell that Lena secretly liked Louie but didn’t want to tell him anything. As for Louie, he spent most of the day trying to keep to himself. The Chaos Insurgent soldiers that had arrived were mostly anthropomorphic wolves or coyotes who were prepared to head on out. Kabir was pleased to have the extra soldiers with him as they gathered around a diagram of the St. Canard Foundation diagram.

“Everything is going according to plan,” laughed Kabir.

But Kenny who was in the background wasn’t so certain as he gazed at the plans, everything and anything could go terribly wrong.
